Kouhei flushed slightly as Tsuyoi fished for his own wallet. "Ah... anou..." the cash was laid down for both their meals which made the blush darken. Having his senpai pay... it was almost like... a date. No no no! It wasn't a date, he couldn't think that. That would cause problems. "I forgot my wallet." he said, sticking out his tongue and knocking against the side of his head with his knuckles to indicate his own foolishness.
He stood and stretched, a few eyes watching him as he did so. At least one pair of eyes wondered if Kouhei was really a boy, at least one other set was watching his figure appreciatively, and at least one more was jealous. Thoughts of sweet ice cream circled around in his head for a few moments, but were swept away when he saw Anja from the window. "Hurry, senpai!" he said with a laugh as he raced out the door. He threw his arms around his friends neck.
"Kouhei!" she gasped, surprised to see him.
"Anja, what are you doing here?" he asked, large green eyes glittering with the happiness of meeting his friend.
"I was on my way to a Karaoke party. Want to come?" she asked before her eyes fell on Tsuyoi. She grinned at Kouhei who shook his head and mouthed no. But she still seemed quite amused.
"I dunno," he said finally. "It depends on if senpai wants to go."

Tsuyoi frowned. Even if the boy had not forgotten his wallet, there was no way that he would make Kouhei pay for his food. When was that ever allowed? He tried to not pay attention to Kouhei stretch, turning his head away as he took in the other stares the boy was getting. Great.
And soon, Kouhei was off and Tsuyoi got up from his seat to follow. He was so amusing. He exited the store, standing near the doorway as he looked at the two. He frowned, eyes narrowed at the thought. Karaoke? They were supposed to get icecream! But could he really spend time at a karaoke, watching people sing? When did someonel ike Tsuyoi Seishuku go to karaoke?
Ashamed of what Tsuyoi knew would be his answer he looked away. "Ice cream first..."

"Well of course silly." he said to Tsuyoi. He never forgot things like that. He just didn't skip out on his friends either. But he took that for a maybe and so kissed his friend good bye. She told him the details, just in case, before leaving. He grinned up at Tsuyoi. "It would be really great if you came with us. We normally have a big group of friends around for a celebration. It's always a lot of fun." His lips formed a sort of pout. "But they always make me sing first. It's really embarrassing because they all stare at me."
Kouhei grabbed Tsuyoi's hand, as if it were a habit of sorts. "The place I talked about earlier is this way." he said with one of his bright smiles. An ex-customer worked there, he was one of the really nice ones. Kouhei still talked to him and they were friends, of sorts. He wasn't going to mention their previous relationship to Tsuyoi. The man seemed to get really upset for some reason. Maybe he just didn't like associating with a whore. But, if that were the case, wouldn't it be easier to leave him alone? Kouhei stopped trying to think about it before he got a headache.
When they reached the destination it seemed Kouhei had finally realized who's hand he was holding. He let go immediately and bowed. "Gomen!" he apologized. His bright green eyes filled with his embarrassment. He was so used to going with that place to Anja, they always held hands like a pair of very close female friends. He felt quite stupid.

Tsuyoi listened, not sure if he liked the idea. A big group of friends. That didn't seem like the place he'd want to be. He wasn't the type for big groups. But he was interested in hearing her sing...besides, it shouldn't be that bad. Suddenly his hand was being grabbed. He tensed, staring at their hands as Kouhei continued to talk.
With the boy leading the way, Tsuyoi followed his only thoughts on Kouhei holding his hand. A public display like this was sure to get noticed! It wasn't that bad though, holding the boy's hand...it felt much more normal then it should be. So he allowed it...just this once. When they reached the icecream shop Tsuyoi had to handle another one of Kouhei's apologies. He didn't say anything, as he opened the door and used his now free hand to lightly push the boy inside, his hand placed on his upper back.

((blar... i had a really long pretty post for this and then my dad made me turn the computer off, so I couldn't post. So this is the second attempt at it. -is sad-))
He was herded inside. It was a comfortable feeling, a hand at his back. His father would do it, his mother, and even his older brother. Everyone seemed to think he needed leading and wanted to keep any eye on him at the same time.
The shop was rather average looking, like the place belonged to an American. It had all the American cliches for an ice cream parlor. The black and white checkerboard floor, the soft red walls (though white would be another average color), the plain tables with uncomfortable, plain looking chairs, and a counter that fit only the cash register. Next to the register was a glass fridge in which all the strange flavors of ice cream, sorbets, and frozen yogurt resided.
Kouhei no longer needed pushing, in fact he strayed from the hand to go towards the counter where he found his ex-customer. "Rai!" His already happy appearance was brightened by the familiar face.
"Hey, Kouhei-chan." He also seemed to brighten.
"What's up, you don't look nearly as happy as usual." Rai was a slightly muscular, attractive sort of man. He had the black hair and nearly black eyes of any Japanese man but the soft, pale skin and eye shape of an American, not to mention his height. He was rather tall. Despite working in this cool temperature all day he was wearing a sleeveless shirt beneath his apron.
"Ah... Kimiko broke up with me."
"What! But... but... She seemed to really like you."
"She found herself one of those scrawny princes." Kouhei stuck out his tongue, clearly upset by this news.
"I don't like her anymore." Rai laughed.
"We're still friends."
"I still don't like her." But Kouhei smiled. He would e nice to the girl if met her again. It was against his nature to be mean anyway. "I'm sorry... I set you two up and it turned out like this."
Rai shook his head. "Nah, you couldn't have known. So, what do you want this time?" He asked. "It's on the house... for you and your... boyfriend?" he inquired. Rai obviously knew that most people thought of Kouhei was a girl. He was curious to know if this man knew the truth too.
"No!" Kouhei blushed a bright red and shook his head. "He's not my boyfriend." Poor senpai, having to put up with this. It really was horrible. Tsuyoi would never think of him that way. It had to be disgusting for others to say so. Rai raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile on his face. This made Kouhei more flustered.
"Is that so? It looks like a date to me." Kouhei reached out and punched his arm. He only laughed. Kouhei was a tiny little thing there was no way he could hurt that big man. They both knew it, that was why he had done it. Kouhei pouted. "All right, all right. Poor Kouhei-chan." He ruffled Kouhei's hair, Kouhei let out a gasp of surprise and frustration. He began to smooth his hair, mock glaring at Rai who was still waiting for Kouhei's order.
"Hummm... the green tea flavor one... there." he pointed, repositioning his hair clip with his other hand.
"And for you?"

((happens to me all the time, it sucks baaaad!!))
Tsuyoi followed Kouhei. After all, he wasn't very familiar with this particular icecream shop. His light brown eyes scanned the shop. He wasn't sure if he liked the place but as long as the icecream was good he guessed it didn't matter. His eyes were icecream as the boy left his side and started up a conversation. He didn't really pay attention, it wasn't his business. Besides that, he didn't really care.
Only when things seemed to be moving on did Tsuyoi bring his full attention to the two. He blinked, listening to them a bit more closely. Wait, boyfriend? Did they really look like that? He didn't find it necessary to argue with the person. Rai, was it? Kouhei seemed to handle in setting the facts straight. He didn't want to talk to the stranger, no purpose in that.
Tsuyoi looked at the flavored icecream. He was sure he knew what he wanted, but not sure if he should get it. He didn't like the questioning stares. Even so, he couldn't force himself away from it. He pointed to his, not saying a word because he didn't have the need to speak. The flavor was in the front and didn't need to be questioned. Of course, the whole decision of said flavor probably could be questioned. The sweet, and a bit too kiddish flavor of chocolate chip cookie dough.

Rai said nothing. It was also his personal favorite. He knew the sweet draw of ice cream mixed with delicious dough. He served them up and handed them over to their respective owner. Kouhei always chose the strange, fun flavors. Rai stuck to what he liked best. No harm done in what was normal, no chance for it to taste bad.
"I'm going to a Karaoke later, Rai. Wanna come?" Kouhei asked, innocently. His large green eyes looked up at the man. He obviously couldn't tell the thoughts Rai was having. Kouhei never could. Perhaps that was why he was taken advantage of. Rai blushed slightly and mumbled something about the time. Kouhei handed over all the information. "It'll be great if you can make it. Maybe we can hook you up with some cute, sweet girl, neh?" He leaned over the counter to give Rai a sweet kiss on the cheek.
"Some one just like you would be perfect, I think." Kouhei laughed, missing the obvious hint in his innocence.
"Nah, not like me. I'm so flawed. Selfish, clingy."
"Not at all. Besides, I like clingy." Kouhei blushed and shook his head.
"It'll get tiring...." He trailed off, a sad look coming over his face for a long moment. He did brighten though. "Someone less open than Kimoko, and less clingy than me.... You'll find her. See you later Rai." He waved, his tongue slipping over the tip of his ice cream. Pink stood out against the green.

Tsuyoi watched the exchange with narrowed eyes, eating his icecream and seemingly unconcerned with their talk. More like an impatient child waiting for his mother to stop the conversation they had with another adult. He began to walk away a bit, and had timed the conversation right that Kouhei was leaving as well.
"He wants you, you know." Tsuyoi said, when they were a bit aways from Rai. He was chewing on some of the cookie dough. He didn't even look at Kouhei as he spoke, seemingly distracted with where to sit. He licked some more of his icecream, taking a glance at Kouhei from the corner of his eye.

His tongue slipped over the tip. He paused as the statement was offered. His face flushed a deep red. "No-no way! Rai stopped coming to me on his own, before I quit. I set him up with Kimoko because he was feeling bad because he was... you know... with me... and I'm... well..." His pale green eyes looked to the side as the blush became darker. "There's no reason for him to want me now. You're just seeing things, senpai." He offered a weak smile up to Tsuyoi.
"Let's talk about something else. Rai doesn't want me. It's all right. No one wants an okama..." he murmured, staring at his ice cream. he suddenly wasn't hungry anymore. He sighed and brought his chin up to stare at the sky. "You don't have to try and make me feel better." He turned to look at Tsuyoi now. His smile was brighter, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. He nibbled on his ice cream again.

Tsuyoi found himself irritated with Kouhei's reply. Him? Seeing things? He licked at his icecream to control his agitation. "I'm not trying to make you feel better." he said, closing his eyes for a moment as he continued with his normall stoic facade. As always, he seemed very unconcerned.
"And my sight has never been better, it is not possible for me to see things that are not there. And he is not the only one." Tsuyoi opened his eyes again, glancing at Kouhei before concentrating on licking the sides of the cone as some drips made their way down and he didn't want his hand to be sticky. He decided to not add that the other one that he had noticed was himself...

Kouhei nodded. No, he shouldn't have assumed. Maybe that was really what Tsuyoi saw, but he highly doubted it was true. He would let the man believe. Kouhei didn't want to let himself think that there was anyone really out there for him. Of course he liked people, like Hatsuharu. He never really expected them to like him back.
At the next word his eyes stared up into Tsuyoi's. "Wha-? Oh, there's got to be plenty of people who think I'm really a girl. But they wouldn't want me anymore once they found out the truth." He laughed lightly. Of course he didn't suspect his senpai to notice anything about him beyond the strangeness of being an Okama. He continued to lick his ice cream, liking this new flavor. His appetite hadn't quite returned, but skinny little Kouhei could always make room for sweets. He was about half way done with his ice cream now. He wanted to go to the Karaoke. It always made him happy. "You know, they always make me sing first at the Karaoke bar? It's like they can't do anything until I've sung. I guess I warm everyone up, get the ready and all that. I usually end up doing duets too. No one likes to sing alone."

"You give them confidence, then." Tsuyoi said thoughtfully, starting to bite into the waffle cone. "You must sing very well, I will have to come and see." he said, a slight smirk coming across his face. He was sure Kouhei was very good at singing. Not sure how he was so certain of it. In that time of speaking he was almost done with his icecream, eating away at the waffle cone.
There was apart of him that wanted to admit to Kouhei that he, maybe, sorta, wanted him. Kouhei wouldn't believe it, and Tsuyoi wouldn't believe it either. What point would there be to that? Nothing at all.

Kouhei laughed. "I guess. Every morning when I wake up I compulsively sing. Weird huh?" he asked, finally glad to be on a new subject. Past lovers and people watching him made him uncomfortable. He didn't believe the words and probably never would. "Will you sing too?" he asked, expecting a no. His tone was light and airy, to indicate this expectation. To show he was only joking, the he didn't expect Tsuyoi to do anything but sit about and listen. The man probably wouldn't even talk to anyone. So he was only coming to hear him sing? He blushed a deep crimson at this realization and continued to lick his ice cream to distract himself. But it as gone soon enough. As he ate the last of it he sniffed melo-dramatically. "Parting is such sweet sorrow." He grinned up at Tsuyoi. "Shakespeare."
He stood, brushing loose strands of hair away from his eyes. "You ready to go? We still have some time before, so if there's anything else you'd like to do. Or you can go somewhere else if you want, i mean, if you're sick of me." he rubbed the back of his head, sticking out his tongue in a cute sort of embarrassed way.

Tsuyoi was quiet for most of the talk. He shook his head to answer the question he was sure Kouhei knew already. Why would he ever sing? Rediculous for him to do such a thing. He ate away at the waffle cone, eating the icecream as he went down. "I know." he said to the comment of Shakespeare. Of course he knew, hard not to know Shakespeare.
Tsuyoi finished the last of his icecream as he was asked a bit more questions. Where else could they go while waiting for karaoke that the older male would not involve himself in? He paused, staring at the younger boy and his cute action. "I do not think I can be sick of you."

Kouhei blushed, but grinned. "Everyone gets sick of me eventually, senpai. Spend twenty-four hours with me and you will." He laughed, stretching, his emerald shirt skimming the top of his pants, just barely hint at the soft, pale skin of Kouhei's stomach. But he lowered his arms quickly. "Well, I suppose we could head down there. Chances are that Anja has already gotten a lot of food and drink and stuff. They might have started singing already. I won't have to be first for once." Chances of that happening were non-existent, but he hoped anyway.
He turned his head to the side slightly and watched Tsuyoi, waiting for his reply. He really wanted to go. Just as it seemed Tsuyoi might say something Rai appeared. "Ah, I was just about to head down there," he said. Kouhei grinned.
"Me too. Senpai might want to do something else though." He turned his eyes on Tsuyoi and awaited his answer.
