Hiroshi looks over the cave once fully in. His eyes looked over as he follows the smell of Tempa, stepping over the bodies of most that was badly injured. He stood by the wall as he smell faded. He looks around not only the smell of all the blood, he could smell the residing of a being with those jewels within them. He could not figure out how many but he could tell it was more that what Koga had with him. He then looks over next to a wolf seeing the toy he had given Tempa where she must of dropped it in all the confusion. He reaches down picking it up placing it in in the coat of his kimono.
The voice of the Wolf that called out to demon finally broke though Hiroshi’s thinking as he turned his head and watch him as Koga made his way to him to get more information from him. Hiroshi was uncaring to all that was being said, knowing she was already gone, he only waited for the location of her.
Hiroshi begins walking away until Koga asked about who her captor was and he did stop to listen but no information was given to it so he begin to approach Merodi. He takes off a small back he was carrying, it was the one he made carried Tempa’s toy. “Take this, it has many herbs that can be used to help those here, and may pull some back from death’s door.” With that his wings spread wide as he leap out of the cave.

Merodi stuttered, everything overwhelming her where she couldn't even think of how to react. Right now Koga was being rather stable. Did that mean she could break down? No, no, she still had to stay calm. Had to do something. Koga already knew what he was going to do. He was going to get her back. Merodi furrowed her brows in confusion, unsure on what to do with the bag Hiroshi had gave her. They were both leaving. They were both going to go save her? Shouldn't she go to?
So overwhelmed she had to question herself on how she was to react. She stood there dumbly, Hiroshi and Koga already leaving and her body unable to move. Finally things were rushing back to her after those slow seconds, she passed the bag to someone else and ran after them. "Koga, wait, I'm coming with you!" Not yet able to think very clearly on why she should go, or even how much help she would be. She just couldn't let them go without her. And she would be determinted until her common sense kicked in. That was taking slower to come to life then the actual reaction of her daughter's abduction.

In the corner of his eye, there was movement. The wolf demons littering the cave weren’t nearly that active, not yet; they were still recovering. Koga’s head snapped around to see Hiroshi as the vampire’s wings opened and the creature leapt out through the waterfall that masked the entrance of the cave, just ahead of the wolf leader. The demon’s leg muscles flexed, and he was about to follow Hiroshi’s lead and head out once again when a melodious but emotionally strained voice rang out behind him. Koga paused and turned his head again, to see his deer demon mate trotting towards him. On her face she wore a determined look, the likes of which the wolf demon hadn’t seen since she first decided to accompany him on his travels.
Koga opened his mouth, but his automatic “no” died before it reached his lips. It wasn’t safe to leave her alone, apparently. He’d left Tempa alone. Look what had happened when he’d done that. That was the whole reason the wolf demon was taking off now, because he’d let someone he loved out of his protective sight. Who knew what would happen to Merodi if Koga wasn’t there to keep his eyes on her? If he told her to stay here, he couldn’t guarantee her safety. With this in mind, the wolf demon said to her only, [brown]“Get on my back. You won’t be able to keep up otherwise.”[/brown] There was no derision in Koga’s voice. It was a fact.
The moment that Merodi obeyed, the moment she got on his back, Koga hooked his arms beneath her knees and hoisted her higher. [brown]“Hold on,”[/brown] he commanded. This wasn’t going to be a comfortable ride for her, but it was the only way. There was no time for argument. The wolf demon bent his legs lower, and for a brief moment he crouched, poised. Then there was a powerful thrust of his legs, and he shot out of the cave, out from beneath the pounding waters of the falls. His long, dampened hair whipped out behind him, and he could only hope that Merodi had the sense to hide her face behind his neck. There were small scratches on Koga’s face, and they stung him a little, but he couldn’t stop to tend to them, or to the bruises on his fists and feet. He soared through the air a moment, feeling his body burn with a deep aching that he knew would only get worse. And then less than a second had passed and Koga’s feet stretched out to land on a boulder stuck in the river. Muscles coiled again, and the wolf demon leapt once more.
Next time Koga’s feet touched earth, it was on solid rock, more removed from the water, and he took off at a sprint. He’d run so much lately that even his strong muscles were hurting, but he raced ahead anyway, his feet pounding heavily against the ground. He lifted his head slightly, though the pressure caused by the speed he was reaching tried to slam it back down again, and saw a form that was dark against the sky, dark in his blurring vision. It was Hiroshi in his flight. Koga continued to race at full tilt until he was level with the vampire, when he eased into what he felt was more of a jog, but was still a run to most creatures.
[brown]“Think you’re coming to Shinju Island, too?”[/brown] Koga called over the sound of the wind rushing in his ears. Merodi bounced heavily against his back, and the wolf demon worked to smooth out his gait, but he’d been away from home for over a week, and much as he hated the thought of it, he was tiring. One wouldn’t think so, though, the way he glared challengingly at Hiroshi.

“You can’t cross water on your own, wolf, so don’t think you can do this yourself.” Hiroshi kept running heading back towards the human village he was planing to feed from earlier to take a boat from there to reach the Island, He knew the way but he did not wish to use up all his energy flying when it maybe needed when they get there.
As they begin to approach the village a few of the humans begin running away screaming seeing the vampire and the whirlwind next to him. The vampire then landed as his wings fold and leaps up over a few building slamming his fist down as he land next to the dock, and then disappears, and reappears slamming a human by the throat against the wall.
“I am looking for a boat that can reach Shinju Island. Answer quick and I will not remove your head.” The man flinches closing his eyes as he did he best to point out towards a large sailing boat used for fishing. Hiroshi releases the man and begins walking towards it, before crossing boarding the vessel.

Merodi held tightly onto Koga, surprised that he was actually allowing her to come. She didn't say anything to make him change his mind. Wrapping her arms around his neck she kept her body close against his to make things smoother. He was so fast, she still wasn't use to the extent of his speed. She risked a glance at Hirosih when Koga spoke to him. She had assumed he'd end up coming too. They needed all the help they could get if they were going to save Tempa. And wanting the jewel shards, that didn't sound good at all!
The deer demon sighed, relieved when they reached their destination. She got off Koga's back when he gave her the chance and tried to ignore Hiroshi's way in getting a boat. That wasn't an issue right now. Would be later, but not right now. Tempa was the first thing on her mind. The Koga's shards. And absent mindedly wondered how wolves did in water.
Merodi frowned at the boat that would lead them to a place very dangerous. Her instincts were nagging at her and wouldn't let her forget how dangerous this was. But she was determined, and taking Koga's hand she joined Hiroshi on the boat.

There might have been a scowl on his face, but Koga knew that the vampire was right. The wolf demon couldn’t run to Shinju Island, for the practical reason that you can’t run on water. A brooding quiet descended upon him as he turned his face from Hiroshi and stared ahead. He was tempted to charge ahead and leave the vampire on his own, because it was certainly within his capacity to do so, but he also realized that he wouldn’t be able to get to Shinju Island without him for another reason: Koga didn’t know where this place was. Hiroshi had to be kept in his peripheral vision or the wolf demon would get hopelessly lost, it seemed. That really pissed him off.
Koga accompanied the vampire into a village, ignoring the pathetically screaming humans as they scrambled out of the way. As if wailing their heads off would really help them if the two demons and the other thing that was with them wanted to kill them. Not to be outdone by Hiroshi, Koga raced along beside him, and as the vampire leaped over the low buildings, the wolf demon took one more running step and used the strength in his one leg to launch himself over the houses, too, with his next stride. He cleared the structures easily, one leg extended forward and the other following behind. Before he hit the ground, he swung that other leg forward, too, defying the air that tried to force him to do otherwise, and landed with a solid thump. Knees were bent to absorb the shock, which rippled up the leg muscles, and the wolf demon stood straight, allowing Merodi to slide of his back as he did, and looked around to see Hiroshi pinning some frail human against a wall. Whatever worked. Taking Merodi’s hand with gentle firmness, Koga stepped up, over the uneven ground where the earth had buckled at a demon slamming into it, and helped his mate over it too. He stood aloofly to the side as the vampire did his work, but as soon as he knew where to go, walked independently towards the sailing ship that had been pointed out.
Hiroshi got on the boat first, and Koga pretended not to notice, or at least pretended that that had been his intention all along. Showing off his gentlemanly side, he helped Merodi board the vessel before him, holding her hand firmly so she wouldn’t lose her balance. Then he followed her up and onto the boat.
Immediately it seemed that the boat was flopping around in the water. Koga gritted his teeth as the wooden boards shifted beneath his feet. His nostrils flared, and he caught the smell of dead fish wafting on the air. It was very much unlike the smell from the heart of his own mountainous territory; it was the smell of a port. The wolf demon tried very hard to compensate for the rocking, attempting to balance on the vessel, but his legs felt weak. This was even stranger than the smells of the village. Fearing he would fall in a moment, Koga turned and gripped the rail on the side of the heaving boat. Though “heaving” would probably not be used by anyone but him to describe it.
[brown]“I hope you know how to work this thing,”[/brown] he grumbled, meaning Hiroshi but not trusting himself to turn around and look at the vampire. Koga certainly didn’t know how to work a boat. He liked his good, solid rock, not wooden and shifty, flimsy ships. The wolf demon’s stomach heaved with the rig, and teeth had to be clenched tightly together. It was a good thing Koga hadn’t eaten before they’d left. He hadn’t eaten since a light meal the day before. He hadn’t slept much, either, so it wasn’t just the rocking of the boat that had his legs trembling. Fatigue was doing a number on his balance, too.
Swallowing back bile, Koga asked wretchedly, [brown]“How long until we get to Shinju Island?”[/brown]
