Finding America [Sahoni/open]

Sahoni gasped for breath for a bit.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm okay." he blushed.
"I'm just glad I'm back to normal. I'm a normal human. I don't know what happened there. I was scared."

Now that she knew Sahoni was okay (even if he was a little breathless-sounding), Aiko felt better about her giggles. She loosed a few more girly chuckles, feeling her small chest quake with the fit of amusement that gripped her. Her toes curled slightly as she laughed, and she closed her eyes, for a moment, rolling around in the dirt while spirited giggling shook her. Finally, she rolled back onto her side, facing Sahoni and lifting a small hand to cover her grinning mouth. She looked like she was trying to appear embarrassed or contrite, but she failed.

Pushing herself up into a half-sitting position, Aiko shook her head. [pink]“I still dunno why you were scared!”[/pink] she protested. [pink]“That was fun! I wish I could turn into a doggie or something neat like that.” [/pink] She smiled, her gaze drifting off as a thoughtful but amused look crossed her feminine features. Then her bright eyes flicked back to Sahoni, and the present situation. She climbed to her wobbly feet, even though she felt a little disoriented from riding on the boy’s shoulders and then having him fall down underneath her. Dipping at the waist, she offered him her hand once again.

"That was the first time that happened. What would you do Silly!" he said taking her hand and sniffing her slightly
"Your hungry..." he said.
"Here." he pulled out a bag of homemade beef jerky.
"I was saving it but, you know..." He carried his school bag over his shoulders once again.
He blushed. He was never good with girls.

Aiko smiled when Sahoni finally accepted her hand. His palm was warm against hers, his fingers dwarfing hers. She beamed even wider, though, at the prospect of food. With a slightly embarrassed giggle, she accepted the bag of meat, her face tinged with pink. [pink]“Gee, thanks!”[/pink] she piped up. [pink] “Yes, I am a little hungry.” [/pink] It was an understatement. More often than not, the girl didn’t get enough to eat. Wanting to show just how grateful she was, the petite girl bowed deeply at the waist, clutching the bag of food to her chest. [pink]“You are most kind, Sahoni-san!”[/pink]

Even though she’d just gotten up, Aiko sat back down, crossing her legs tidily even though her oversized pants billowed around her. She opened the package eagerly, bringing it up to her nose and inhaling the intoxicating smell deeply. Her eyes rolled in their sockets and her mouth dampened. [pink] “Mmm…”[/pink] The meat smelled very good, much better than the plain mushrooms that she found herself eating all too often. She reached in and selected a piece of jerky. She placed a bit in her watering mouth, and ripped the meat apart with her teeth. She held it on her tongue for a moment, the rich, meaty flavor seeping into her taste buds. Her eyes rolled again with pleasure. It tasted wonderful! A little regretfully, she swallowed the piece of meat.

Then she reached up, offering the bag to Sahoni. [pink] “Let’s share!” [/pink]she suggested, then took another bite of the jerky.

She chewed thoughtfully, turning Sahoni’s earlier question over in her mind. [pink] “I don’t know what I’d do,”[/pink] she admitted. [pink] “Maybe… maybe… I’d climb a tree! Yeah, I bet it’d be easier to climb a tree if I had claws.”[/pink]

"No thanks." he laughed again in a contagious manner. He smiled again at her. She was pretty and blushed more at the thank you.
"That sounds like a good idea." he said. he concentraited on being the wolf and just managed to make a funny face.
"I-I-It's not working..."

Aiko giggled along with Sahoni as she nibbled on the jerky. As she ate, her toes curled up in pleasure. This was undoubtedly some of the best food she’d had in her entire life! She wondered if Sahoni had hunted for the meat himself, or if he’d bought it someplace. She imagined he must be very much richer than she was. After all, it wouldn’t be hard to be wealthier than a girl who couldn’t say she owned a single thing. But now wasn’t the time for such thoughts. Now was the time for being happy and full of food, for the first time in too long.

As the girl pulled apart the meat with her front teeth, she noticed Sahoni making faces. She blinked alertly at his somewhat dejected-sounding comment. She had been so absorbed with her feasting that she’d pretty much already forgotten that anything unusual had happened. Aiko, holding onto her current piece of meat with her teeth, stood up. [pink]“Rhat’re ya tryin’ ter der?”[/pink] she managed past the bit of food in her mouth, before shoving the entire piece down her greedy gullet.

"Trying to change: he said. "I can't do it." he pouted.
Now that he thought about it it would be useful to be a large... demon, he thought the last part hesitantly. It's large and a canine, it could hunt, fight, all sorts of things. It'd be much easier to keep Ms. Aiko safe. He rubbed his head where the crow...demon poked his head.
"Damn koga*"

*Note: in Tsalgi (Cherokee) Koga means crow, which is what he means by Koga not the one in the uber manly man skirt.

After a thoughtful swallow, Aiko blinked and shrugged up at Sahoni. She didn’t know how to help him, much as she would like to. She was no expert on these demonic things, after all. Instead of worrying about it, she peered into the bag of jerky, contemplating whether or not to have another piece. A moment of deliberation passed, and she snatched out one more strip. She couldn’t be too greedy and eat the whole thing, but she shouldn’t pass up an opportunity for meat, either. She crammed the whole piece into her mouth and held the bag out to Sahoni. [pink]“Tank you!”[/pink] she enthused past a mouthful of food, then swallowed again. [pink]“It was very tasty!”[/pink]

Having passed the bag over to Sahoni (practically shoving it into his hands if he didn’t take it fast enough), Aiko dusted her hands off on her oversized pants and turned around in a slow circle. She blinked as a gnat alighted near her eye, and peered past the insect into the forest. [pink]“Oops,”[/pink] she mumbled, trotting a few steps forward. She ducked under an oversized shrub, then peered back at Sahoni through the interlaced, leafy branched. [pink]“I think we go this way.”[/pink]

[ooc: Oh, okay... Haha, I was a little confused for a moment, seeing as I play the guy with the uber manly man skirt.]

"Sounds good." Sahoni stood up and sighed. He also picked up a stick.
It was a large stick.
Better be prepared, with demons and all... He sighed to himself not noticing the white fog that dissapated behind him in the woods. The mass a large canine shape.
He did feel something and he shivered at the chil up his spine.
