Daiki raised a brow in curiosity at the other's request. "Serve you, Lord? WHy woudl you wish for me as a servant. I am merely a simple monk, with only a walkign stick and small sutras for weapons. I was only lucky witht he treats I have just brought. I am honored my lord, but still curious, will you answer before I decline or accept?" Daiki askd. He liked to know what exactly he was getting into. His lot in life was a mystery to even him. But he would not mind serving this demon. The aura of the creature was just too delicious to pass up.

[white]“Yes, I will answer your question,”[/white] Lord Keiran said quietly. He took the few steps closer to the barrier of his prison, and with each motion, it felt as if the air hardened, willed him back. He paused just before the point he could not cross, and felt as if the barrier was stretched taught before him. The tension in the air, like air before thunder strikes it, crackled a few pathetic inches in front of the demon’s nose. Slowly, with a different intent than he had earlier, the demon lord lifted his hand, and pressed his palm flat against the paper-thin but impenetrably hard barrier that prevented him from going even nearer to the human.
[white]“I am powerful,”[/white] Lord Keiran stated matter-of-factly. The human, with his unique abilities, would no doubt have felt that as the demon slaughtered the animals. [white]“You are free,”[/white] he also stated. These two statements alone summarized the reason that the demon wanted the human as his servant, though individual details may or may not have swayed the man. After another moment, Lord Keiran allowed his hand to fall by his side. Still he stared out at the blind human, who would not be able to stare back.
[white]“If you become my willing servant, we can mutually benefit from the arrangement,”[/white] was the final sentence.

Daki humed in thoguht for a moment. He nodded.
"Sounds reasonable enough. It's not really liek you cna force me with the state your in... I will serve you." Daiki frowned. "But don't think I'm going to be groveling at your feet. I am simple, but I have abit of pride in myself, blind though I be."
He chuckled. "But I have a question, am I to stay by your side unless I have an asignment? I'm one that likes to move from place to place, not one who stays in one area very long."

Lord Keiran smiled blandly, a reflex move. [white]“Of course,”[/white] he said to the human, in reference to his words about pride. Naturally, the demon would not outwardly disrespect the human, but how could a lord, who was so much more powerful than this worthless speck, possess respect, either? Besides, the human would one day come to bow before the feet of the strongest demon in the world, the one who would conquer and claim everything as his own and make it all his way. That was, if the human was allowed to live for that long after he served his purpose.
To the man-creature’s final question, Lord Keiran paused for a moment, considering. He observed the human thoughtfully for a moment before saying,[white] “I doubt there will be a moment when you do not have some task you can complete for me. However, it may please you to know you will not be staying here. Your tasks will take you out into the world.”[/white] Really, being the servant for this demon lord would be quite adventurous. A wandering spirit should enjoy such a thing. Sadistic though Lord Keiran was, and how much he would take pleasure in the pain of his pathetic human servant, for now it would be easier to have working for him a creature who was happy. If the human ended up needing prospective pain as an incentive, Lord Keiran would hurt him. However, it had not come to that yet.
Even as he reached into the folds of his clothing, where he kept an assortment of objects that may come useful at some time, Lord Keiran felt a question coming to the front of his mind. There was a bit of information he thought he should know, though it did not interest him in the slightest. [white] “What is your name, servant?”[/white]

The blind man nodded in understanding and satisfaction at the other's answer. At the question of his name, Daiki shifted his staff so it was resting on his shoulders behind his neck, his hands resting on either side of the staff.
"Daiki, and though I know you'll probably won't do it, you may call me Dai." He closed his sigthless eyes to rest his almost-useless lids.

[white]Daiki.[/white] The name was filed away for possible use later, such as if the human would need to be tracked down in the world. Lord Keiran continued his careful observations of the man, memorizing the look of him, the sound of his voice, the feel of him in the air. Such things were what a master should know about a servant. The demon cocked his head to the side after a moment, breaking off from looking at the man, for he had stored all the information he would need. Instead, his mind and senses focused on the most constant object of his frustration: the barrier.
While the human was apparently just standing in a relaxing pose, Lord Keiran silently ranged back and forth, his footfalls carefully places against the earth so that there was the most minimal noise possible, so that the rustling of the folds of clothing around him was louder than his footsteps. The demon observed the changing feel of the air, scrutinized it for any visible changes, doing what he did nearly every day. He examined and then reexamined the barrier, though he knew his observations had been perfect and not missing anything the first time. But this was human doing. And as a demon, he had never bothered to fully understand such things as these, which were of human construction. Which was basically why he needed a human.
The impatience he had felt before, which had led him to hitting the barrier initially, was returning to Lord Keiran, and it irked him, intensified the feeling of being trapped. His power was reduced, and he did not like it. Abruptly he ended his silence and asked Daiki, [white]“What do you know of barriers?”[/white]

Daiki frowne din thought and held a hand out, feeling the barrier's power in hsi finger tips as he touched th eouter part. He knew he could walk through it, but he decided not to take a chance at this point. Even if he was a servant.
"I only know plain, protective spells from attacks. This is alot more complicated because it's ment to keep you in, not out... I can do nothing to make this barrier break." Daiki informed the demon.

Lord Keiran watched with a feeling bordering on hunger as the human’s fingertips brushed the barrier, still remaining on the far side, where the demon would be unable to touch him. The demon ranged forward, standing just before Daiki. Breath stilled in anticipation in the brief moment before the human spoke, and gray eyes bored into the facial expression of the man, reading the countenance and interpreting what they saw there. When the human spoke, Lord Keiran detected no lie, which frustrated him. He released a thin stream of air, which had become trapped in his lungs, through his nostrils. He stepped back silently, though the fingers of his one hand twitched, cracking the blood of the animals where it had begun to dry.
Lord Keiran knew that the human knew that he wanted freedom. That much was obvious, since the human said that he could not break the barrier. Still, the demon neither confirmed nor denied the suspicions that Daiki undoubtedly had. The exhalation would have been confirmation anyway. [white]“Very well,”[/white] Lord Keiran said flatly, letting his lids droop shut over his slate-colored eyes. There was one use of the human that could not be employed.
Not at this time, though. But so many years of imprisonment bred patience. A human with spiritual power would undoubtedly be a help for those ends. Lord Keiran merely needed to exert his patience.
Finally, Lord Keiran went to rest against a tree, near to the one he had already shattered. He leaned against it casually, feeling his spine stretch, and hid his hands in the folds of his clothing. [white] “My first task for you, Daiki, is simple,” [/white]he stated.[white] “Go out into the world and tell me what is happening. Tell me of the powerful demons you meet, of the human villages and the people who inhabit them. Go for fourteen days, then return here and report to me of all significant people and events. I have been disconnected too long.”[/white] Lord Keiran closed his eyes, though his other senses were still trained on the human.
Naraku could not fulfill that particular task Lord Keiran now assigned to a human. The demon lord was particularly interested in the goings on of humans, in that there might be more powerful humans that could fulfill similar purposes to Daiki’s. What an interesting notion that was.

Daiki nodded. "As you wish my lord. I shall be back at the end of given time I have..." He turned and began walking away. "I'll see if I cna bring some game for you to play with when I return. I'm sorry that you ahve to wait alone." Daiki called jsut before he was otu of the clearing and in the woods.
"I'll travel south east I think..." He murmured to himself with a smile. He hadn't been to the east or south in awhile and he might find interesting news there.
