Despite his best attempts to drag it out, Hitoshi finished his reports a while before he hand intended to. With an exasperated sigh, he set them out to be read over and stamped by Sesshomaru. He had very much hoped to avoid this whole ordeal, but it seemed he would be required to attend.
He found his way into the meeting just as Ainu proclaimed he would die for his general. Hitoshi was most deliciously surprised. What he had thought would be a tedious and long ordeal had turned into a thing of excitement and drama. He stood off to the side and listened as each spoke their part. He could not have seen a play more entertaining. Unfortunately his amusement with the situation was brought to an abrupt end when Ryuu suddenly killed the general. His smiles turned to a serious expression as he tensed. His whole body was ready to do what ever it took to protect Sesshomaru and his kin. Fortunately the warriors were able to subdue the wolves with minor injury. He relaxed, though stayed observant as he followed Sesshomaru and Ryuu. It was not until they were away from the blood shed that he began to smile his usual smile again.
Takehiko stood to the side. He did not much care for the polotics the lords played. His eyes surveyed the crowd. He could feel the air tensing with each sentence that passed through a lord's lips. His fingers were curled around his sword, just in case. His jaw clenched and hyperaware, Takehiko was ready for anything. Along side him were many more of Sesshomaru's warriors, in similar positions.
Suddenly he smelled blood. He glanced to see its source. Only for a second, and then all hell broke loose. He did not need his sword to calm the clamor down, but it was certainly a fight. He heard Sesshomaru's order and went to heed the command. For his efforts he received a stray claw to the face, but he did not let it bother him. Instead he simply completed his job. Let the others worry about feisty, angry wolves.

Brignatia was in a sewing circle with some of the older ladies when she felt it. A huge rip, a cacophony of sound tore through the melody of the universe. It made her naceous. It was something she had not felt since... no... it could be nothing like that. She had to stay calm. Then the news came. General Baku was dead. Killed by Ryuu. Lord Ainu was to be detained until further notice. Her heart flew up to her throat as her fingers trembled. She had been so ready to like Ryuu. He seemed like such a kind and understanding sort of master. Instead he would take a precious life. The ladies around her were all abuzz.
She could not concentrate. She begged their forgiveness and left them to their chatter. Brigantia walked in a daze. She let sounds guide her until she found herself outside of the dojo. Here she came to understand the thing which called to her. It was sadness. So much sadness and anger and anguish. Brigantia knew those feelings well. Tears formed in her eyes and her aura grew out to meet him. As if to say, 'You are not alone.' She wanted to go inside. She needed to be near this person. It had to be Ainu. Sesshomaru and Ryuu had gone off elsewhere.
She was dully aware of Takehiko speaking to her. He had blood on his face and on his clothes. "Are you alright?" She asked, but she was not truly paying attention to him or what he said. Smoothly she moved past him, toward the person. Down halls and through doors she went, the wretchedness growing stronger all the way.
