An Mismatch Adventure for a Mismatch Pair

[Naraku]

He could not help but look back and his brows furrowed some when he tries to look away from her as he nips some at his own lip before he softly speaks. “I do not regret anything. I spoke true, and will never have the intention of trying to take advantage of you, Milady.” He closes his eyes lightly as he straights back up to her while his face aims downward some, though still unable to stop picturing her. Nor do I count myself worthy of standing before such beauty.” He lightly adds within the end before his hand reaches into his Kimono and pulling out a sort of glowing stone. It sort of pulse like a heart beat. “I went down and thought maybe I could fetch you a gift.” He peeks back to her and only felt his blush remain, and unsure if she would even care for such a thing as she was fully a mystery to him...which sort of only intrigued him more.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

She had felt in control. His uncomfortable posture only fed her confidence and her and her more torturous side. Up until he had complimented her. She was used to compliments, used to words easily spoken by many men. But he said it with such honesty that she wasn't used to. She paused, tensing up and now feeling the most uncomfortable. Trying to force back the blush, she tried to get back in control of the situation.

Standing up, she eyed the rock. It was still something normally done, but...when he did it it felt so much more personal. She reached up and placed her hand over the stone, and in doing so over his own hand. She didn't exactly take it, but she left her hand over his own and raised up as much as she can, brushing her lips softly over his lower lip. The closest she could reach with their height difference. "Thank you." Then she smirked, eyes narrowing.

"But you do realize I said it was an offer. How can you be taking advantage of me if I offered?"

[Naraku]

Ryuu watches only slight movements she makes as he continues to fight his own blish before her hand rested over his. His eyes slowly moves down scanning at the hand lightly then back up to gaze down into her eyes.

His eyes give a light widening at her actions and against his lip. It was one thing to offer her air, though this was different. He though did not back away and stood firmly in place while listening to her. His eyes peer down over her as he lightly speaks. “You offer as you feel obligated or do such thinking it is how you must pay me for such... And I have be forthright with you. And my actions are not works of trying to accomplish anything as they are only the works of my will to make you happy.” His own face reddens more when growing silent once more.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

"Why?" Once again her confusion set in. She just didn't understand what he was trying to achieve. He was trying to achieve her happiness? That made no sense. Still, she was accepting the stone as she spoke, walking away from him to grasp a pelt and hoist it around her shoulders to appear more modestly. "Why are you trying to make me happy? Who are you to try and make me happy?"

[Naraku]

He only seem to calm once she was cover back up fully and face away from him as a light sigh escapes him. He though turns and lightly approaches her from behind. "Why with such the questioning. I met you and enjoys my company with you. Let alone you have a wit about you that I find interesting." He lightly smiles as he was referring to her sarcastic tongue and not her actually intelligence at this point.

"And you seem unhappy with your place and much seems to be fatal... Let alone having to be a servant seems unfit for a beauty such as yourself."

[Lord Sesshomaru]

She didn't like it. She couldn't stand the way he spoke to her. His honest appraisel and his forthright statements of his concern and worry. Fumiko glared, crouching slightly like a cornered animal as she shook her head. "I am fit for my job because I am beautiful." she straightened then, smiling haughtily. "I like my job. I lied to you, I have been trying to use you." she circled him, eyes narrowed as she taunted him.

"I wanted nothing but your money and the power your title held. I played on your sympathy to get what I wanted." A twinge of pain struck her head as she forced her words and her confession. She needed to get out of here. Get back to where she belonged. She didn't belong here with a man that would shower her with compliments and gifts and not want anything in return. She didn't like the feeling of guilt that his sincerity brought her.

Turning away, Fumiko grabbed her pack and quickly changed into a new kimono. She was stiff and rushed and her finished job looked sloppy. "But I don't want anything from you anymore. I don't want it. You can take me back now."

[Naraku]

Ryuukotsusei said nothing as he just lets her spill her heart and soul there. Continuing to listen while she finishes her outburst and heads over to gather her things. Only for the Dragon Lord slowly moves to step behind her.

“Well now that you have let out all of your hidden agenda, maybe we can start this fresh then. As you did take my challenge none the less. It would be disgraceful to back out even if one did join under false reasons.” He slowly steps towards her as he looks down to her.

“Besides maybe you should relax and stop expecting anything and expecting to have to always give and just live in the now. And actually try to take this challenge seriously then. Even if you do not wish for anything you should least go through with it for your own self honor.”

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Why wasn't he lashing out? Everything he did wasn't normal and she didn't like it. Instead of being angry, he was encouraging. Instead of lashing out physically, he kept his distance. Fumiko wanted to push him more, yell at him more. Didn't he see she didn't have any honor? Didn't he know she was already disgraced? She kept her head low, not meeting his eyes as she stormed off and plopped back down on her designated pelt.

[Naraku]

Ryuu softly sighs as he slowly approaches and moves to sit down next to her. At first he said nothing and just stares off over the water. After some time Ryuukotsusei stood back up and turns as if to walk away though instead brought a smaller pelt down and let it wrap itself around the panda. Yet did not seem done as the Dragon Lord suddenly lifted her up and carried her over to the padded bedding he made and let her body give a light flop onto it. And without a word Ryuu turns to let her remain there as he went to leave her.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Fumiko gave up trying to predict what the Lord would do. Whenever she thought he would do one thing he went and did something completely different. So carrying her to a bed was once again unexpected. Including when she was so determined to ignore him.

But then... "Where are you going?" she couldn't last ignoring him when he was suddenly disappearing on her.

[Naraku]

He turns his head back only slightly as to just speak to her. "It is late and I am sure you are exhausted after all that has happen here and the meeting. Besides you are my guest so the bed is yours." He turns back from her and starts walking away once more.

"I will remain at guard at the entrance that way I do not keep you awake."

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Not wanting to speak anymore on the subject she turned away from him and onto her side to try and sleep.

Ryuukotsusei looks back at her as she rolls from him. He says nothing and looks towards the entrance and making his way towards it. Hours roll by with the dragon lord sitting within the center of the cave's mouth.
