Revisiting her old home

[kanrya]

Kanrya sighed and continued to walk in the general direction of her old den, the one that her father took her to after her mother had died and eventually ran away from. She sniffed the air and growled low in her throat and smirked. She sensed a new leader for the pack and thought to herself. Fresh prey... she chuckled and ran towards the den brightened by the thought of maybe seeing her father again. She grinned thinking he'd be surprised to see her again after all these years.

((I will join you, Aiko(who roleplays Koga) has been gone for a while, but I am not sure that she is gone for good))

Koga had been gone for a long time, ever since he left to...think over his thoughts, as his companion would think. It was the only thing she could think up when he had left her for a while. And she wasn't the type to go after him when she got impatient, no matter how long he had been gone. Koga-sama must really want his alone time.

This is what the young woman thought as she walked through her leader's lands. At any other time, the scent of wolves would scare her to death, would make her so wary of every little thing. But to know that this was Koga's lands made her at ease, the scent of wolves were his scent, and the scent of the wolves in his command. He wouldn't allow them to eat her.

Including since she looked so tasty. She was on the top of a normal wolves menu. Deer. And so the young shika walked, her rounded ears a top her head moving left and right to listen, and her black nose twitched as she scened the wind as it caressed her fur-like skin. Her hoof-like feet making no noise against the grass.

Today was a good day. Even if Koga-sama had been gone for a long time. She could still scent him on her clothes. It was nice to think of how he had hugged her...

The deer demon was so deep in her own thoughts that she didn't even realize that there was another being close by.

Kanrya growled low as she smelled the leader's scent close by and stopped suddenly. Was koga really nearby? She swirled in surprise and hunkered down low to hunt this scent down. She snuck up quietly and watched this supposed deer demon. She then stood up suddenly hoping to surprise this deer and ask where the leader of the wolf clan was. She licked her lips since they were dry and smirked. "Who are you to wear the leader of the wolf clan's scent?" She growled low in her throat.

The young deer continued to walk, her eyes on her hooves as she walked, a small smile on her face as she hummed to herself. She had never believed she could be this happy. She stopped suddenly, her senses finally alerting her that she was not alone. Her eyes widened, and her ears swerved this way and that, listening as best she could to who was there. She turned her head this way and that, hoping to sight something.

Then suddenly the demon made themselves visible, the sudden sight startled the deer, and she jumped, losing her balance and falling on her rump. Oh great, what a perfect way to ruin her day. She stared up at the woman, fear immediately filling her, making her tense. Her large brown eyes widened and it was easy to see how scared she was.

Even more was she scared when the woman licked her lips and smirked. Was she-was she hungry? Oh no, this wasn't good! She was always on the menu!! What bad luck she had! "I-I-I am Merodi, a companion t-t-traveling with Koga." Oh, if only she could hide her fear better, it would make things much more humiliating. Including if she didn't always fall on her butt all the time.

Merodi didn't like the way this demon was looking at her, and the tone of her voice. And she didn't know what the woman wanted, and that was the worst part. She was scared out of her mind, and she cursed her deer instincts for it!

Kanrya chuckled as the deer demon fell on her rump and held out a hand to help her up. "Where is this koga...and where may i find him?" She asked. "The name is Kanrya and i used to live in this territory a long, long time ago." She added and looked towards the den area. " Yeah those were a lot of great memories back then..." She growled low in her throat and rested her hand on the hilt of her katana obviously in deep thought.

Merodi stared at the woman's hand held out to her. It seemed rude to not accept it, even if it could all just be a trick. The deer demon hesitantly put her hand in the other woman's, allowing herself to be pulled up and back on her feet. She listened to what the Kanrya said...that was her name...huh. She was interested, truly she was, but she was still very nervouse. The only other people she had gotten close to were Ookami and Koga-sama. There was another woman, but even she had been still scary to Merodi.

When it seemed that the other woman...Kanrya was done speaking, she finally got the nerver to answer to what all she said. "K-Koga is away, where he is I don't know, I do not wish to bother him though." she muttered, still very shy and nervous. What was to expect? She was a deer. She followed the woman's gaze toward the den. She had never truly went near the den, nor did she plan to.

It was a place that a deer did not long to be. But it was somewhere that this woman uesd to live, as she stated. She jumped back, hearing the growl from the woman, and her hand rest on the hilt of her sword, and the fear immediately kicked in as she took a few steps back to distance herself from the woman.

"I-I'm sorry that Koga is not here, and I am also s-sorry for not being of a-any help of finding him."

Kanrya noticed this and smirked. "Relax...i'm not going to hurt you..." She nodded to that fact and grinned. "Thank you my dear woman for helping me but i have one more wuestion...Do you have any idea what this Koga is like? I've been gone for a while now.." She smiled and popped her neck feeling it get stiff.

With Kanrya's question Merodi looked toward the ground, thinking on what Koga was like, she couldn't help but smile. "Koga is very kind and sincere, but is easily angered and stubborn, he is very strong and very very fast." she continued to look toward the ground, her mind only on Koga at that moment. She admired him, looked up to him. But most of all, she liked him very much. Oh dear, she needed to get this crush on Koga under control! She was starting to realize that it could be seen on her face.

And so, her smile was gone, and she looked up at Kanrya. "And he's kind of rude." she said, trying to think of something bad about Koga. But even then, even when he was rude, he knew to apologize...if only for her.

Kanrya thought this over for a bit and smiled softly and then frowned at a thought. "what does he think of half-breeds?" She growled softly afraid of what the answer might be. She looked in the direction of the den of wolves again. "is this leader of my clan handsome and arrogant as well?" She smirked as she saw an obvious crush on the doe's face. "By the way Merodi...is he in the den?"

Half-breeds? "Koga seems to treat everyone the same, human, deer, or wolf." She answered simply, not understanding why she had the need to ask such a question. She didn't seem a half-breed. She was a full demon. But it did not matter, no matter who it was Koga treated them all the same, with his rude hello's. And yet to her...he was so much more gentle.

Oh, why couldn't she stop thinking about him?! It was going to drive her insane!!

Luckily, she was distracted with Kanrya's next question. Handsome and arrogant. "Umm I guess so." yes, he could be arrogant at times, though she wasn't sure if it was okay for her to say such a thing. Handsome, on the other hand...yes, very handsome...to her. "No, he is not in the den, he went for a walk...eh, run, and has yet to return."

Kanrya thought for a second and smiled at Merodi. "I am a filthy half-breed by most demons standards. You see I'm half fox and half wolf...and i'm pretty sure my mother wasn't telling me the truth when she said that she was a full fox demon...how else can i do this?" She smiled and ignited her black fire in her palm. It exuded a gentle heat and yet did not harm Kanrya. She quickly extinguished the black fire in her palm and leaned against a tree. "You have the look of someone in love." She smiled gently and looked away quickly as if embarrased. "It must be nice." She sighed softly.

Merodi didn't see how she could be a filthy half-breed when she was full demon. It seemed to only come into affect if she was half human. And even then Koga didn't seem to have a problem with it...although she had never seen how he reacted toward a certain hanyou named Inuyasha. Half fox, half wolf...it reminded her of her own friend, who was half wolf and half fire...she missed that friend of hers. The one that had left, and had allowed her to travel with Koga on her own. Ookami. Koga had had a little problem with Ookami, but that was only because that was how he was. She had still been a stranger to him, and that was how he mostly treated everyone. That was how he treated Merodi at first too. It wasn't until Ookami left that he seemed to truly become as gentle as she now knew him.

Merodi watched, a little surprised at first when the fire appeared in Kanrya's hand. She smiled, staring at the flame in her hand. More and more was this woman like Ookami...

Merodi was brought out of her thoughts with the next statement that came from Kanrya. I-in love? She blushed. "I-I n-no, it..." she stopped, not knowing how to argue against such a thing. So, instead, she decided to say something way off topic. Pointing toward the hand that had made the fire. "I had a friend once, who could do what you do. She was also a hanyou." she smiled. "I sang her a special song, that I believed would never come in handy." she laughed softly.

Kanrya's interest perked instantly as her ears twitched in excitment when Merodi told her that her friend could do virtually the same as her. "Do you know where this friend of yours is now?" She asked curious. "I'd like to meet her!" Kanrya's tail wagged happily like a young pups tail. "What kind of hanyou was she? What was the song?" She asked eagerly anxious waiting for news of others like her.

Merodi was taken by surprise of the sudden excitement and questions that came from Kanrya, that for a moment she didn't know what to say. Finally, she took in one question at a time.

1. "I'm sorry, I do not know where she is now."

2. "She's half wolf and half fire...or something of the sort."

3. "Would you like me to sing it to you?"

Of course, Merodi was hesitant in doing so, singing to this woman that she had just met. She didn't normally do so. The only talent she had was song, she didn't just go around and sing to anyone...not anymore. It was the reason she had gotten where she was now...and for some reason, it didn't bother her so much anymore.

Kanrya nodded and watched Merodi quietly thinking to herself. {i]so there are others like me...excellent![/i] She waited quietly to here the song that Merodi was going to sing and she hoped that she'd like the song. Kanrya had never really met a deer demon before but since she never had any friends before she was about as excited as a pup with a new toy. "Oh have you seen a hanyou by the name of Inuyasha around?" She asked way off topic. It was niggling at the back of her mind and bugging her since she had talked to the arrogant lord Sesshomaru.
