A Peaceful Darkness

Wait, what?! A dragon with the same name! He frowned, staring in surprise at the man below. With his full interest peaked he jumped off the roof of the hut and landed in front of the man. "What hell of a place is 'England'?" he asked, his arms still crossed. That kind of name sounded like something out of Kagome's books. She had said there were other lands beyond the ocean, but it was hard to believe how they could travel so far. Now it made him wonder where this man actually came from. But such interest wasn't something he wouldn't state aloud at the moment. One question at a time was enough for him. Besides, he wanted to know more about this other Ryuukotsusei. Was this something he needed to know? To have the same name, they must have something that linked the two.

"Why were you fighting a dragon anyway?" sure, he had said one question at a time, but he had a tendency to go against what he just thought and think nothing of it. Besides, he was Inuyasha, he had the right to know things!

" 'The lands of the west' as you call them. Beyond this small island is the land where i was exiled from. A land where an empire spreads and my kind are getting weaker and weaker. However this land is larger than this 'puny' island compared to it and we are far and few in between. We are worshipers of the Dark ones. Yet they reject our religion and instead kill us without any reason because they believe that everyone should have only one religion, there religion. We don't provoke them but they try and slaughter us and constant bloodshed is waged from our kinds of people when they meet." Crom explained his side of England that he had seen witch was nothing but blood and death.

"The Lands over there also have demons, mainly the Dark ones servants. However there are other kinds, dryad are the most common and peaceful unless you attack there homes. We also have dragons but again, they are far and few. Greedy beyond all reasons, jealous of other dragons and out right aggressive for blood and death of there enemy's. Some however are more ... 'peaceful' out of the rest of them if you would call it peaceful. There are quite a few different types of dragons where i come from." He added also as he then (and finally) got to the second question.

"The dragon was protecting a 'Deer' demon. Her singing was ether making my scouts lose there memory or go into insane and essentially be as server from normal gibbering fools who can be 'fixed' to being completely lost to us. One even went as far as to try and find the cause while he was going insane. Only to get himself killed from falling off a cliff and onto some jagged rocks." He said, seething with anger however he is keeping the rage inside and try to save it for later.

"She was harming my people and I don't take kindly to others trying to kill off what remains of my tribe. They where god damn HUMANS, not like me .... well ok maybe somewhat like me when it comes to religion, but they are human, they where also almost good enough to be referred to as 'warriors' and SHE made them forget or go mad!" He said, his anger very present however he sounded like he was hurt a little bit.

That was...some explanation. He didn't need all of that! Inuyasha did not need Oren's whole life story! Sheesh, rediculous. The man must love ranting

about himself. Now he knew practically everything and Inuyasha found it completely unnecessary. He kept his arms crossed as he looked away, a sign of his uninterest. Talking about religion and why his people had come here and blah blah. He didn't need to know all of those things. An island would be a perfectly good answer.

Lucky enough, the second answer might have been just as long, but it was much more interesting. Inuyasha couldn't believe how just a deer's singing could have such an affect. A deer demon, of all things! Well, he didn't know a deer demon, nor had he heard much about them. But they didn't seem very strong, and weren't deer quiet? He must say, the images of these men he described made Inuyasha laugh. Going insane because of singing? Falling off a cliff? Oh, it must have been a sight!

"To think, a 'deer' did that? Ever wonder how or why? Was her singing that horrible?!" he laughed, shaking his head. He could see someone losing her mind to a horrible singer...well, not really, he never knew a voice could have such affect. Good or bad singing.

There was only one thing that made this a little more comical was that that that Crom shrugged at how bad or how good that deer demon was with her singing.

And he did just that.

"All I know is that it drove my men insane, but trust me. It must have been far better than to listen to Rias, our sorcercer rant for hours on end. I have seen him rant and trust me, you don't want him to rant. At least the singing would be a quicker death for my people." He said, although complete unintentional he started to snicker evilly. They do kinda deserve it, they would be embarrassed to no end if a deer demon had defeated them.

Inuyasha found it slightly odd that he was having such an easy conversation with Oren. This strange man he had such suspicions for. He wondered on this deer demon for a moment. Why would a dragon protect a deer? "He didn't like the singing either, huh?" The hanyou asked, hearing him speak of Rias. Their sorcerer, he says. He must have been a bit more sane then those others to complain.

"Ughh ... dont get me started on that." Crom sighed, shakeing his head as he face-palmed.

"I could hear him half way across the town when he started, and he always Hisses his 't' and his 's' . " he added as he shook his head, oh those poor gibbering iddiots. They will be up for hours on end

"I knew when he ranted on and on to me about 'not doing this properly',' not killing this properly', 'Not hunting properly' and everything inbetween, it lasted for at least two days." Crom also said. Shakeing his head without the face-palm.

"I mean honistly, how can someone rant for that long?" Crom asked, very serous about that question. That was the only thing he hates about rias along with another few things. he rants for a long time and rants way too mutch when things are not going his way.

Inuyasha started to realize what he was doing in the middle of the conversation. He was...conversing. At first it had been odd, but he had pushed it aside. But now it was hard to do so with the remarks. The whole thing made the man seem...normal. Hard to believe with such armor. He shouldn't be conversing so easily! Where was his pride? When did he start making friends out of enemies!?

Inuyasha decided to keep it to himself, the only thing that would make it worse was if he acted on the impulse to suddenly ignore the man and make himself look like a fool. Including when he needed to keep an eye on him, and maybe this was the best way to do so. A nice plan thought up from the almighty Inuyasha. Heh, he liked the sound of that. "Why the hell do you keep him then anyway? Get a new sorcerer or whatever."

Little to the Half-Wolf demon's Knowing. Crom had just read him like an open book when he thought of him being too ... 'friendly'.

"I still have shred's of humanity left within myself, but they are mostly buried when I go into combat. Yet that wasn't the question you asked." He said, almost reading Inuasha's expression like an open book with the question right in it.

"Onto the question you asked, A sorcerer like him dose not come around that often, if at all anymore. As annoying as he is, he is extremely powerful and extremely hard to replace." He wanted to add more, but japan was probably still afraid of the 'Tyrant Dragon'.

But ... what the hell, he can take anyone with Belial's powers if they try to hurt him or go on the hunt for his village.

"He also confirmed a rumor that he trained underneath Beilal Blacking himself before Beilal ascended to a full fledged demon." He said/Whispered loudly so that only inuyasha can hear with his sensitive hearing, he is very brave for even saying that. Yet he was not afraid of some little demon.

Inuyasha scowled. He was explaining friendly behavior and he knew exactly why Oren was doing so. Must have read his mind or something. He forced

himself to be uninterested, if only to stay in his single state of mind. Well, he got the answer he had wanted with the second reply. He must say the last bit of information had his confusion, withal interest. Beilal Blacking, eh? That made no sense. How did something ascend to a full fledged demon? How can it not be anything but born into such a thing? With the hanyou's sensitive hearing, he didn't really notice the lower tone in the man's voice, hearing it was normally as he spoke before although his ear twitch.

Damn, another question. Inuyasha had another one already on his tongue but he be damned if he dared allow it to be spoken aloud. No, he would not give in. If he wanted to know, he could ask later when the man wasn't reading his mind! Instead, he crossed his arms, looking away from the man. "Feh, you talk too much! If your business is done here then go back to your regular group!"

Crom's eyes furrowed and just glared at the Demon as his Mark of the undivided started to do it's magic. Crom all of a sudden just looked... allot more frightful now. Although he had done no physical change what-so-ever.

"I do not wish that as of yet. And ill ask you kindly, do not try to anger me." He said in a low and very frightening voice. Then all of a sudden the 'fearful' feeling just disappeared as Crom was satisfied with what he said.

"And yes .. there are ways." Crom said as he let out a very low chuckle. Again reading the slight bit on confusion that Inyuasha had on his face before that Half-demon covered it up.

Inuyasha didn't think he could handle the man's company. Anger him, he says? Just because he said that, Inuyasha automatically wanted to do thus said. Who the hell did he think he was saying something like that!? Anger him! The hanyou would do more then that with such an attitude! What would he do once he was angered? Inuyasha was sure he could take on the heavily armored man. He had taken on worst foes before!

Inuyasha blinked, the sudden statement surprising him and he wondered what it meant at first. What the hell did he say that for? And then he realized how it linked to his unasked question. He growled, his teeth bared as he glared at the man in front of. "What kinda damn prank are you trying to pull!?"

'The lord of change would be proud.' Crom thought as his idea went ... well ... 'just as planned...'. A very creepy smile went on his face.

"I am pulling no prank on you. I did answer your question earlier. I do not wish to go back yet. after all my people can take care of them selfs as long as Rias is around." He said, his smirk not leaving as he stared down at the half-wolf demon.

'He is allot more aggressive and more ... what's the word ... just outright angry compared to the other half-wolf demon.' He thought to himself as his helmet hid his expression.

Inuyasha was surprised he had even though to have a friendly conversation. How could he have thought such a thing when this man was so creepy! He should be listening to his gut, which told him to be suspicious as he was. He needed to act more on it.

Inuyasha continued to glare at Oren. He growled again, his hands forming into fists as he watched the man. "Then what the hell are you trying to pull?!" He had no interest in what else the man said, he didn't care at all about him not going back, or Rias being their and taking care of themselves.

((He's a half dog-demon, not wolf))

"Honestly ... I don't know." Was all Crom said when the Blacksmith returned with Crom's ax. It look like it was brand new and very dangerous now.

"Ahh, thank you for fixing my ax, blacksmith." He said as the smith shaking gave the ax to the intimidating warrior.

"Don't be afraid, I have no intentions of causing trouble in this town." Crom said as the Blacksmith shakily nodded and went back to making swords just to get his mind off of the plated warrior.

"I only hope that you will be a little more ... nicer when I return." He said, directing his attention to Inuyasha.

Kagome sighed as she finally got back from the present. "Sheesh... what am I gonna do abotu that boy..." She mused softy. She'd found someone in the present that had a jewel shard, but he didn't want to hand it over, he said it was hsi 'lucky stone'. "I guess I'll just have to talk to Inuyasha and the others about it.
As she walked, somethign came to mind. 'Wonder why Inuyasha hasn't come to greet me yet? And why didn't eh evne come get me in the present?'
When she got in the vilalge, she pause dwhen she sensed somethign very powerful nearby... and somethign that reminded her of the jewel shar,d but it wasn't the jewel shard.
She went futher itnot eh village, until she saw a figure clad in armour standing in front of Inuyasha!

"Inuyasha?" She called runnign towards him. "Inuyasha, what's going on?" She asked him.
