Ayame peeked from the tree tops- making sure all was clear about the river before she cautiously made her way down, ears up and alert as her eyes scanned the terrain.
All seems quiet....
She kneeled by the river, cupping her hands and scooping up some of the cool, clear water, drinking gratefully. Her head jerked sharply as the bushes rustled- reaching for an arrow, a bird came from hiding and took to the air. In one swift movement, she loaded her bow, arrow flying-the bird falling.
She placed a clawed foot on her prize, gently removing the arrow and licking the blood from its sharpened end. She picked up the bird with care, once again taking refuge in a tree on the outskirts of the river's clearing. She hunted here often and passed time by amusing herself with ongoing passers.
Ayame was a curious one and liked to observe. Especially the humans for their ways were so.....different. Her white tail hung limply from the branch as she ate, gold eyes observing her surroundings with care. It was mid-morning and dew still resided in it's place on the grass. Air cool- and ground below covered in a thin layer of fog. Her favorite time of day....... |

Noli Brushed away some web's as he worked his way into the cave above the water fall ,"What a day" Noli said to him self , first he had met up with that woman kagura...then hakudoshi whapped him upside the head and took one of his jewel shards.....And NOW a spider demon had stolen ANOTHER Jewel shard from him and scurried off into the cave. "One thing after the next i soppose." Noli mutter to him self as he walked into the large part of the slightly damp and dirt smelling cave....
Noli looked around other than the countless corpse apon corpse it looked like any other large spider demon cave....So it thinks it can hide here huh? Noli thought to himslef It probably could......if it wasent 20 feet tall.... Noli stopped him self as he saw a pebble fall from the celing of the cave.....
In a flash moment noli's hand slipped into his satchel and hooked a small shriken with his index finger and flung it into the air twoards the Giant spider hanging on the roof. The four pointed star hit the spider in between the eyes and the arachnid replied with a defening schrech and fell to the ground with a hard thud........
Noli walked over to the corpse and plucked out the small jewel shard. Noli retuned it to its rightfull place in his right leg and started to walk out of the cave when he heard a hissing comeing from behind him...
Noli turned around slowly and saw about 5 feet tall spider's comeing out from hole's in the wall and cracks in the floor...Noli had one thought at the time......RUN! Noli bolted out the cave with dozen's of spiders hot on his tail.

Ears pricking forward she leaped down from her perch above. A slow jog gradually changing into a full fledged run as she heard the pattering of small feet. She lifted her nose to the air- taking in deep wisps of any scent she could pick up.
It was there- faintly, but it was there.
She approached the water fall, tail stiff as was everything else. And that's when she saw those beady red eyes- hisses whispering all about her as she cautiously made her way into the cave-growl rumbling deep in her throat.

Noli truned around and pointed his sword at the swarm of spider's and yelled "FI-RAGA!" Huge flames flew out of his sword and met the oncomeing swarm of spiders......it was there noli realized his mistake...web's are very very flammable. A huge explosen blew noli out of the cave and he hit the rocks at the edge of the cave with a hard landing. Noli stood up and turned around to face the spiders "Were in for one wild night." Noli said as he brought his sword into postion.

She landed swiftly on her feet- drawing her bow and quickly loading an arrow- shooting at one of the evil creatures.
What would he be doing lurking in such a formidable place-
Grabbing the dagger from it's strap on her leg she quickly twisted- slaying yet another beast when the glimmer of a jewel caught her eye.
A jewel shard?
She spoke under her breath as she dodged her way towards it- yelping when she was caught by the leg.
Let go!
She growled- giving the hideous being a swift kick before scrambling to her feet.

"HUH?!?" Noli exlaimed as an arrow whizzed by his head an struck a spider square between the eyes. "Nice shot!" Noli said as he flipped his sword around and cut another spider through the gut , "Now where's the one with my jewel shard?" Noli asked to himself...the jewel shard was first...finding out who was helping was second on the list.
Noli spoted the one with the shard climbing up the cave, noli lifted up his hand and yelled "FIRA!" A meduim sized fireball flew out of his hand and blew the spider to pecies. Noli ran to the wall of tha cave cutting arachnids as he went, Noli cought the jewel shard before it hit the ground and smiled "Gotcha.....now i just have all the jr.'s to deal with." Noli said as he turned to face the hoard of spiders.

Ayame had no intentions of meeting this stranger but that jewel shard was her's- fair or not. She ran hard towards him- reaching for the jewel before being thrown against the wall with force.She blinked- surroundings blurring she put a hand to her head- removing to see the blood on her hand.
Now i'm pissed.
She lunged- clawing her attacker without mercy. About that shard... She looked about for him in the dark of the cave but saw nothing living that wasn't hairy with 2 legs.
Now where'd he run off to? |

Noli wasent running..in fact he was fighting...and quite enjoying it....but enjoying or not ben needed help. Noli yelled to the wolf demon "Hey help me out here and ill give you the jewel shard!" Ben kicked another spider demon full in the head useing the jewel shards in his legs to there full power...he had learned that move..and quite a few other moves from kogua...so ben sheathed his sword and started fighting fully with his hands and feet...just like kogua.

That was all she needed to hear. With that in mind she rushed at her next victim. Such weak demons were no challenge for her but in great numbers they become more difficult to defeat. Now there was about......30 to go?
They just keep coming!
As the sun's rays were blocked the cave became darker then it had been before which was hard to believe. Even with eyesight as sharp as her own- she struggled to see. If not for the blood red eyes of the spider demons, it would be nearly impossible to attack. |

Ben lifted up his sword and yelled "Thundaga!" Huge bolts of lightning flew from through the cave roof and obliterated many of the spider demons. Ben sheated his sword and punched a spider demon in the head so hard he was sure he smashed the spider's brain. Ben smiled and said "Hey wolf warrior you might wana get to higher ground..cuz this ground is gonna get real shaky!" Ben jumped into the air and activated the power of the four jewel shards in his leg's....this was one of kogua's most famous moves. "WOLVEN FURY!" Ben's legs suddenly smashed into the ground feet first with such a shockwave that it decimated the remaining spider demons.

With his warning- she leaped into the air- clinging to the rocky wall of the cave.
So- he's already obtained jewel shards in his legs....
This was made obvious by his power and though she hated to admit- she was impressed. |

Ben stood up and brushed the dirt and dust off of himself. Ben looked up at the wolf warrior who was currently hanging on the cave...but something looked familair about this wolf demon...specificly her white fur. "Hey are you ayame?...you must be kouga talked about you alot...and saying you were the only wolf demon with 'Fur as white as the snow on the moutions.' i belive were kouga's exact words."

Her eyes brightened and she thought back to the night of the lunar rainbow.

Hm.
This she could not fully agree with. He made a promise to her which he didn't keep- or in his case, he 'couldn't remember'. How could you forget? Ayame remembered and could never forget. Kouga saved her from the Birds of Paradise and promised to make her his wife. She was to stubborn to let him take back his promise.
