Name: Hitoshi
Age: 4,397, three months, two weeks, three days (exactly)
Gender: Male
Demon: yes
Human: no
Era: Feudal
Jewel Shards: none
Apperance: Tall and willowy. His physical appearance is somewhat weak looking, though, anyone who has ever had to fight him know this is not true. His hair is black with some red streak running through it and his eyes are normally mismatched colors. Red and blue. He can normally be foudn wearing some sort of kimono that may look somewhat feminine.
Personality: He is good at what he does. Which is look over the estates, servants, and pretty much anything the sets foot on Sesshomaru's lands while he is away. He may seem laid back and completely whimsical, but there are times when he can get serious. But, even serious he has a tendancy to seem kind. There is just something about him that make sone stop and listen to what ever he has to say.
He has a deep disliking for the gossip of the servants. It seems that the only time they talk is when he is't around. A few very unlucky ones learned the hard way, and since then people stay quiet in his presence.
He is often amused by the reactions of the young Sesshomaru, the son of the man he used to serve. Hitoshi will often say things just to get his master to show some srt of emotion. Or he will phrase the obvious in such a way as to create some sort of tension in the air, all the while grinning. Where most servants would cringe, Hitoshi has a habbit of laughing. He feels has no reason to fear Sesshomaru. Some say it is arrogant and cocky of him, but, alas, it is what makes Hitoshi, Hitoshi.
History:
He was born on a day like any other. There was truely nothing special about the time or place. His mother and father were simple demons with no special abilities or powers. But they loved. They cared for their only son. The demons were not very old, and did not live a long time. They were killed by monks and their baby stolen. He was locked away, beneath a temple. For three years, until he grew into a young lad. He was brought out into the day by a powerful dog demon. He had destroyed the temple, for it's servants had been killing his people. In gratitude he began to work for the demon, who found him amusing with his wild antics and ideas.
He began as a simple servant, but as he grew older, he grew wiser and much more powerful. He worked hard, and was soon in hcarge of many servants, until he was entrusted to keep the castle safe while the dog demon was away. Many many years later a son was born to the man he looked up to. This son was the heir to everything, including Hitoshi. Hitoshi enjoyed the times he was forced to babysit the child, though one would not have known it the way he grumbled. But the child eventually grew older, and Hitoshi no longer needed to keep an eye on him. For another son was born. This one contained human blood and amused him greatly. For he had never seen his master act this way about any living creature... the way he acted about his lover. A young human princess...
But... his master ended up dieing, and it became Hitoshi's responsibility to keep the two sons safe, especially from each other. Once again he was forced to keep a watchful eye on both of them, creating situations before someting terrible happened. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep Inu-Yasha and Sesshomaru from fighting for the Tessaiga. His new master lost a limb. This made Hitoshi smirk. He left soon after, staying with in the castle walls. He would respect the wishes of his old master, Inu no Taishou, from behind the scenes. Watching and waiting for his True Master's wish to come true.
