She caries with her an alter-ego. She is the reincarnate of all evil. That evil is called Epsilon. Because her father taught her feelings she learned hate and anger. The two scared her because, with in her, they became large and violent. If one made her at all angry she would deal out horrible deaths. She learned to lock away that and it took the form of her previous life, Epsilon.
History: Her mother was born into a clan of Butterfly Demons. They were once plentiful, but their wings were very valuble, much like the tusks of an Elephant or horn of a Rhino. Once their wings were clipped off, they became defensless creatures, unable to fly away from their enemies. Slowly these Butterfly Demons become endangered. Soon enough their beautiful bodies came into high demand, along with their wings, though they were rare, you could find one at a very high price on the black market with or with out wings.
Her mother hand been captured and sold to a very rich man, her wings still intact. She was set free to live in his gardens. She led a happy life. The man took good care of his precious beast. She came to see her owner as a good man, and, after many years, she began to fly to him to greet him every morning. They would speak together. The two fell in love, quite slowly, but surely. His beloved creature asked him one favor, to give her a child. He agreed. Her daughter was born not long after. This little butterfly lived in the state of a young pupa, it's body not as beautiful as that of the Demon Butterfly.
The man, wondering at this ugly child, took care of it, as the Butterfly woman was dieing. The woman explained that as a Butterfly she would only live long enough to bear her children. She supposed she did not have many because she had made love to a human. She begged him to take care of their daughter. He promised he would. Her mother died two days later. He grieved the loss of his precious butterfly.
He treated his daughter as if she were a queen. He named her Brigantia, though gave her the nick-name of Birdie. The little pupa lived for months, until it made a cacoon. Her father was confused and even afraid. He did not know much about butterflies. He had thought she died. He looked out his window everyday and looked at his daughter 'coffin'. She had been the last thing that connected him to his demon lover.
One day, he looked out his window to see that the 'coffin' was cracked open, half of it laying on the ground. A young woman sat atop a tree, her lovely black and purple wings drying in the sun. She fluttered them slightly. Her father ran out to great this new creature. She stared down at him in the same manor the mother had at first. She held no emotion. The little butterfly gave a sort of smile to him and a nod as if to say she remembered him. It took a while but, eventually he taught her to feel. At times she would become extremely violent. She would hurt any one who came near her, except for her father. After a while the anger and violence stopped. She was always a happy, wonderful creature.
She lived with her father for a year. But war was slowly comming into the lands. A day would come when her father would no longer be able to take care of her and he would have to sell her, just to remain alive. Before this could happen, he forced her to leave the only home she knew. She refused at first, but he forced her to leave, She had black out and awoke later to be sitting in a forest she did not know.
During the black out Epsilon had come out. Brigantia had not been happy about leaving her home (or being told to kill her father. He did not want to be tortured by the army). Epsilon took her father's life slowly, making sure every moment was pain. Brigantia only learned this much later.
About a year after leaving she came into a forest. The rain stared. It was hard and painful. It caused large bruises to form on her weak body and she bean to bleed with in herself. She heard something behind her. Knowing death would soon come to her before she found the home of her mother's people she was not so afraid of the large aura behind her that she should try to run away. She could not fly, her wings were drenched. She commented about the sky being sad. His voice had held no emotion, but she had sensed something like contempt or confusion beneath it all. She could not have been sure,
He showed mercy to her. He took her to a cave, a safe place. He allowed her to heal, then accompany him, a small green toad like demon and a tiny girl child. For a long time Brigantia had been afraid of the girl. The fear slowly ebbed away.
At a later date the 'season' came. The 'season' is a time during which her people mate. It lasts about a day. It is a fun time. The females tease the males until the males can no longer satnd it and takes the woman. Normally, butterflies are extremely fertile, but Brigantia, half human, would not be bale to bear children until she was five summers old.
On that day she began to do as normally happened. Luckily the had been in Sesshomaru's castle. If they ahd not been Brigantia would have attracted any demon or human with in a ten mile radius, perhaps more, depending on wind and if she had been near water. At the castle she attracted nearly every male demon there to her. That inculded the very powerful Sesshomaru. She had teased him until he could no longer stand it. And he did as was expected of him. He took her and made her his mate. Since that day the two have always been together.
Brigantia seems to have Sesshomaru on a leash. She has almost complete control over the dog demon. She has the ability to keep him calm and often provides him with information he could not get by humself. The two make a wonderful team.
