The Demon Child and The Slayer

Shade sat on top of the roof of a house crying and looking sad as always "Raine...were are you?.." He said helplessly to himself as he curled into a ball soon he found his bad luck starting again as he rolled off the roof of the house and landing on top of a woman "S.sorry.." He said scooting off of her and scooting into the shade of a tree so she couldnt tell what he was he closed his eyes wich luminated dimly with the color red when he went into darkness, He went back to crying softly hugging his legs.

[Sango]

Moonlight shrouded the earth and stars winked down at everyone below them. Shadows were cast under the trees, making it almost impossible to see without some kind of light. The sound of footsteps could be heard as a woman made her way towards a hut that she usually stayed in when she came to visit this village. It was the hut of the respected yet old Kaede. Behind the woman walked what looked like a normal cat in the darkness but once light shone upon her you could see the two tails on her and when she transformed into her true demon form she would come up to the waist of the woman that owned her. They walked in the shaows, her hand grassped around her weapon, cautiously looking out for danger and when she looked up she saw something falling towards her.

She had no time to react and before she knew it she fell onto the ground and the thing that landed on her got up and began to speak to her. She stood and began to wipe off her green ankle length skirt and her pink top. She looked over to the child and smiled warmly and welcoming. "Its quite alright." She then looked in the direction that the child had fallen from and realized that he was on the top of a roof. 'Why was he up there?' She questioned herself as she looked back into the direction that he had gotten off into. She wasnt able to find him and she just looked around for him.

"Excuse me? Child?" She questioned as she began to hear crying. Kilala walked in the direction of the boy, being a cat demon it was easy for her to somewhat see in the dark. She ran to Sango and lead her in the direction of the boy child. She smiled warmly to him once more as she reached out to wipe the tears from his face. "What troubles you?" She asked as she kneeled down, trying to be friendly with him. He looked awefully young to be out on his own.

Shade looked up at her and hugged Sango crying on her shoulder "Im sorry, Im sorry Im a monster Im sorry..." he than fell back over slowly opening his eyes showiing the reddish glow from them "Y.you look like Raine...but older..only by afew years though" he said quietly still crying as the sword sheathed on his back began to speak in a demonic tone

Deimos: "Enough Child Dust yourself off and go I have had enough of your snivveling, you are to become a Demon Warlord not some snivveling demon who befriends human, what disgusts me most of all is that you love one of these vermin..."

Shade: "Im sorry its always my fault"

Deimos: "I grow weary of this contuine to cry your eyes out but I am done tryinf to convince you"

[Sango]

When he hugged her she wrapped her arms around him and when he spoke she nodded her head. "You are not a monster." When he fell back she losened her grip on him and he opened his eyes and showed the redish glow to her. She nodded her head. "I see no monster here." She said as she looked around and moved herself to sit beside of him. When he spoke she looked over to him and smiled warmly. "Who is Raine? Is she the reason you are crying?" She asked him as she looked up at the stars and smiled once more. He reminded her of her little brother Kokaku and she hadnt seen him in forever.

Kilala walked over to the boy and went to curl up in his lap, hopefully to help to cheer him up with her master Sango. She mewed lightly as she closed her eyes and rubbed her head against his hand. She opened her eyes and went to move into a small ball onto the boys lap.

Shade looked up at her when she said "raine" he stopped crying for afew minutes but still had a sad expression on his face "Raine is a girl, she looks almost exactly like you except alittle younger we were happy together even though I was afew years younger than her, She treated me kindly but when the humans found out about me they started to poke me with big metal sticks and shoot me with small pointy sticks, than cut at me with swords until they drove me into a hut and tried to burn me to death....when I came out...I couldnt find Raine...I decided to wait at the spot we promised to see eachother that night but she never came...I keep searching and searching but she never came...when I saw your face for a brief moment I thought I found her...but I was wrong...We loved eachother very much...she even accepted the past I had...I am not native to this time I came from the modern era....I was created from a boy who was killed by his mother for messing with her sutras and spells....I am the shadow...the inner demon....but Im not evil...meaning the boy mustve been of evil nature.." he patted Kilala on the head as he looked up to sango smiling slightly "Than after waiting so long this..sword found me...it talks...and it tells me what I do wrong..."

[Sango]

She listened to his story and looked down at the ground below her feet. "Thats horrible." She looked him over and looked back at the ground. "I am Sango." She looked back at him and smiled. "And whats your name?" She asked him as she watched him pet Kilala. For some reason she was always trying to make everyone feel better, no matter their current condition unless she was fighting with them.

She looked back up at the sky and took in a deep breath. Wait, he had said that he wasnt native to this time so does that mean he comes from the same time as Kagome? "Do you know a girl named Kagome?" She asked as she watched Kilala close her eyes and began to purr.

Shade: "An old man said that name once right before he beat me with a broom into that deep dark scary well" he said as he hugged Sango tightly "H.hello my name.s Shade..." he said nervously he felt like he was reunited with his love Raine even though it was Sango not Raine but this felt like a ray of hope as he snuggled Sango hugging Kilala as well "Raine.." he said as he began to fall asleep.

[Sango]

When he spoke about the old man she nodded her head in shame but didnt know quite what to say. When he hugged her tighter she wrapped her arms around him once more. "Its nice to meet you Shade." Her smile was warm and welcoming as she held the child in her arms. As he snuggled against her she lay her chin onto his head and took in a deep breath. It was nice to help someone out when they were down. He just reminded her so much of Kohaku when he was scared that she didnt see Shade, she saw her younger brother.

Kilala looked up at him and lay her head down onto her rump as she took in a deep breath and let it out in the sound of a purr. When he had said the name of the companion he had been talking about she just looked up and felt as he began to fall asleep. She knew that it would get cold so she picked him up, trying not to wake him and started to carry him towards Kaede's hut so he wouldnt get sick.

Shade: He looked at Sango hugging against her "I missed you Raine..." he said half awake as he fell asleep nuzzling his face into Sango's Busom sleeping quietly, The Sword on his back looked like it was a Living Blade it had an Eye in it that opened up and looked around it looked at Sango blinking

Deimos: "My dear, He has been through alot, He just wants to find love...Dont tell him I care though...but...you should also attend to his wounds as well....underneath his bandages are many wounds that wont heal with just bandages..." The Sword went silent after that...it was true underneath the bandages were many cuts and broken bones. It pained Shade to move.

[Sango]

In her arms was a child that was hugging against her as she carried him. His gaze meet with hers and his mouth began to part and words began to come out. She looked down at him as he called her Raine. She just nodded her head and continued to walk. He nuzzled his face into her bosom and he slept, if he were older and not injured she probably would have smacked him but he was still young and by looking at him he was still injured. Her gaze left little Shade and went to the sword that was on his back that was staring right back at her.

It began to speak and she thought that she was just hearing things but she pushed all of her own thoughts aside and listened anyways. She nodded her head. “Very well.” She knew that Kagome could heal almost any kind of wound so if she could find Kagome she would be able to help this boy and perhaps find him a family. That is if he would even leave her side.

She entered the hut and walked towards the middle of the room where she had set her things for the night. She lay him down on one of the packs that Kagome had given to her and covered him. Kaede was not in right now and she didn’t know when she would be back. She swept the hair out of his face softly as to not wake him. She stood up and walked to the corner of the room and grabbed some fire wood and began to light it. He was laying close to the fire but not enough to were he would burn. When it was nice she sat down beside of it and began to wonder what would happen to this boy.

Deimos looked at Sango once more blinking "Sango do you notice anything odd about this boy...he has no Shadow..." It was true the light on the ground did not cast a Shadow at all only Sango Kilala and the objects in the room cast a Shadow but Shade didnt "Its because Shadow Demons..like Shade...do not ruly exist there the other side of people...wich side that is they have no say...' The Swird leaned against a wall "And the girl you thought of Kagome...Kikyo's Incarnation correct?"

Shade tossed around in his sleep and hugged Sango's leg whimpering alittle as a small whisper left his mouth "Mommy..."

[Sango]

Sango hadn’t noticed that Shade didn’t have a shadow. She looked at the sword and nodded her head. “Well, I didn’t notice until now.” She said as she looked around the room at everything that was making a shadow and trying to make sure that it wasn’t her mind playing tricks on her. When the sword began to speak again she looked over at it as it leaned against the wall. She nodded her head then looked down at Shade as he slept. “I see.” She looked back up at the sword. Was…was he able to read her thoughts? “Yes, Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo.” She looked back down at Shade as he hugged her leg and she smiled down at him.

“It seems that you know my name because of Shade…but I am afraid that I have yet to catch yours.” She said as she watched it cautiously. She could since an aura around it that was deadly when provoked. She watched as Kilala walked over to the stomach of Shade and lay herself down to keep warm.

Deimos: "I have many names...Deimos....is my prime one....I once belonged to a Azure Knight that was destroyed in the west...than I found the boy...His Soul...is corrupt...and never seems to die out....so I have an unlimited food source...his Soul gets more corrupt and distorted as the days pass from longing for Raine...I warned him to give up...but he refuses to..." He shut up when he heard Shade say -Mommy- "I think he just called you Mommy, Sango..."

[Sango]

Chocolate hued eyes look over towards the sword once more as it began to talk. She litened to it, not missing a tone of its voice then nodded her head. "Deimos...is there anything we can do for his soul?" She asked as she looked back down at Shade and smiled. "I heard.." She ran her soft hand across his face, careful not to wake him.

"What is going to happen to him?" Her eyes never left shade. He reminded her so much of Kohaku just like she reminded him of this Raine. She took in a deep breath and removed her hand from his face and looked at the sword again. She placed her hands in her lap and began to speak. "I am not sure if my companions will allow him to stay with us. Does he have any type of fighting skills?" Even though he as still young, even the young had to fight to survive in this era.

Shade began to wake up, he breathed heavily as he held his chest, letting out a small almost not heard yelp of pain as he looked outside at the full moon

Deimos: "Yes...but...Im afraid you cannot know what they are..."
