Taken: No [General]- Name: InuYasha Alias: Race: ½ Human, ½ Dog-Demon Gender: Male Age: 200 years old (Including the time he was pinned to the tree, appears about 17) Hair: Silver (can look white) & Black (When human) Eyes: Gold, dark brown (When human) Height: 5’6” or 167cm Weight: 143.6lbs or 65.1 kg Status: Attempting to become a full-demon Quote: “Hurry it up you stupid girl!”
[About]- Personality: InuYasha is a brave but naïve hanyou (half demon). InuYasha has a hard time trusting anyone (hanyou’s have a hard time trying to live with demons or humans peacefully). Before InuYasha met, and consequently fell in love with, the powerful miko, Kikyo, he found it very difficult to trust anyone else, and even more to find anyone who will accept him as a hanyou. He is also hot-tempered and slightly tactless. Now that Kagome has entered his life InuYasha is learning to love and trust once again. Nonetheless, InuYasha has a great deal of inner conflict over whether he wants to be with Kikyo or Kagome because he loves both strongly. InuYasha becomes more civil as time progresses, losing some of his more childish qualities and become much more mature. He always tries to take the most direct route possible in solving any problem, which usually involves violence. He maintains a crass, rude attitude towards everyone except Kagome and Kikyo, and to a lesser degree the rest of his companions except Shippo.
InuYasha is offended when someone calls him a mangy mutt, puppy, half breed, or otherwise suggests that he is inferior to yokai (demons), due to his human parentage. Although InuYasha should be weaker than full demons since he is a hanyou, he tends to remain the victor in fights largely due to the fact he wields Tessaiga, and his natural strength.
InuYasha speaks with pretty harsh Japanese. He never uses honorifics and when talking to people he does not like, he uses “temme” and “kisama”, both of which is often translated as “you bastard.” He does, however, stick with the standard “omae.” He uses the tough masculine pronoun “ore,” which suits his persona and strength. He also does not show respect to his elders, often calling them “-baba” or “-jiji” which translates as “old hag” or “old geezer” respectively.
Background: InuYasha was born from the great Inu no Taishou and his human mother Izayoi (both are dead now) and is brother to Sesshomaru. He was orphaned at a young age, rejected by humans because of his demon side and looked down upon by demons because his human blood supposedly taints his superior demon blood.
Since the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon no Tama or Sacred Jewel) was powerful enough for InuYasha to become a full demon and Kikyo was the protector of the jewel, InuYasha had a legitimate reason to follow Kikyo. However, the two fell in love, and eventually Kikyo talked InuYasha into becoming human instead. A human named Onigumo had plotted to take the jewel for himself. He was once a bandit who was obsessed with Kikyo and became jealous that she had fallen in love with InuYasha. His anger go to the point that he traded his body with many demons (and changed his name to Naraku) to obtain power. After falling for Naraku’s schemes, and their own lack of trust in one another, InuYasha broke into Kikyo’s village and stole the sacred jewel. To defend the village and to keep him from escaping with the jewel, Kikyo shot InuYasha with a sacred arrow, pinning him to the Goshinboku (The Sacred “God” Tree, or Tree of Ages). Only moments later Kikyo collapses from a wound she received from Naraku before pinning InuYasha and gives final instructions to Kaede, her sister, to burn the jewel with her body so it would travel to the afterworld with her.
Fifty years later, InuYasha was released from the Boshinboku by Kagome Higurashi, the reincarnation of Kikyo from 500 years into the future, who unknowingly carried the Jewel of Four Souls in the side of her body. A centipede called Mistress Centipede from the Bone Eater’s Well attacked Kagome for the jewel so she could obtain more power and invulnerability. Kagome released the spell on InuYasha so he could save them. After InuYasha kills Mistress Centipede, he tries to steal the Jewel but ends up with the Beads of Subjugation around his neck thanks to Kikyo’s younger sister Kaede. When Kagome says “sit” (Osuwari) the necklace plunges to the ground taking InuYasha with it.
Kagome breaks the shard and InuYasha is forced to go with her to hunt it down, picking up some companions on the way. During their quest, InuYasha discovered that Kikyo has been brought back to life, and the reason she had pinned him to the tree…it was all set-up by the evil demon Naraku who sought the power of the Shikon Jewel. Now InuYasha must make amends with Kikyo, who blames him for her death and sort out his feelings for Kagome while finding the jewel shards.
[Abilities]- Physical abilities- (Apart from his Tessaiga and the abilities it gives him) Strength: InuYasha’s demon blood gives him superhuman strength. No upper limit has yet been shown in the canon, but he is at least strong enough to easily lift a boulder with a diameter greater than the height of his body over his head with one hand, and then run many miles with it. Such a boulder would weight perhaps eight to ten tons. He is strong enough to punch through solid steel with his bare hands, as seen in the mange version of the battle with the Noh Mask.
Speed: InuYasha’s speed has been shown to easily exceed that of a normal horse; possibly as fast as, if not faster than, a cheetah. Due to the speed he can accumulate in his runs, added with his incredible strength, he is able to cross great distances with a single jump. Altogether this creates the illusion that he is flying every time he leaps.
Stamina: InuYasha’s stamina likewise far exceeds human standers, possibly derived from the fact that his demon blood is that of a dog. He is shown to be able to run tremendous distances at tremendous speeds with minimal effort, and is often seen complaining about how his comparatively weaker human companions always slow him down by needing to rest so much every day. He is also able to endure a great deal of physical pain.
Defensive ability: While his fire-rat robe provides additional protection, a power afforded to anyone wearing it, InuYasha’s physique is capable of taking a lot of damage, more than the average human, or even most demons. He appears unaffected by severe blunt force trauma, able to withstand a direct blow from a wooden log that broke on contact, and unfazed by the tremendous impact of being thrown hard enough to shatter solid rock. He also possessed tremendous resistance to sharp weapons, able to withstand attacks that slice through trees. While he can be injured by more power demons and holy weapons, he appears invulnerable to most human ones, able to catch normal arrows out of the air and break steel swords with his bare hands. Even without his fire-rat robe, he has shown ability to withstand direct contact with fire and tremendous heat, as well as corrosive substances like acids. When injured, he heals far more rapidly than a human, so much so that attacks powerful enough to severely injure him are rarely fatal, as they would be to humans. It seems that his internal physiology is probably significantly different from a normal human’s, considering that he has been able to get up and fight despite having been impaled in places that should have resulted in his spine being severed, heart shredded and lungs destroyed. Unfortunately for InuYasha, his tongue is still susceptible to being burned by curry. He also appears weak against strong smells.
Senses: InuYasha’s senses are highly developed, and in some ways, appear to be super-canine rather than superhuman. His sense of hearing and smell are quite likely his most powerful. Not much is explicitly said about his other senses. One can however speculate that his eyesight is somewhat enhances at night, due to the fact that his eyes sometimes are shown to glow, and appear to share some characteristics with cat eyes. The fact that his robes are bright red (one of the colors dogs cannot see) suggest that InuYasha’s visual spectrum is at least similar to that of humans. His sense of taste may also be heightened, considering how affected he is by curry.
Other- Iron Reaver Soul Stealer (Sakon Tesso): InuYasha’s basic attack, which channels his yoki through his claws, and is powerful enough to tear apart iron, making it easy for him to rip his enemies in half.
Blades of Blood (Hijin Kesso): InuYasha’s blood, when combined with the “Iron Reaver Soul Stealer”, does damage when thrown. With this attack, he is able to attack his enemies from afar instead of in close combat. InuYasha splashes his own or other’s blood on the end of his claws and flings them like multiple shuriken to cleave his foes in two.
Time Travel: This technique basically involves InuYasha jumping down the Boner Eater’s Well and traveling back and forth 500 years from the future.
Human Form: On the night of every new moon InuYasha turns into his human form. He loses all of his supernatural powers, speed and defensive abilities as well as his demoni characteristics such as his dog ears, claws, fangs, amber eyes and so on.
Demon Form: InuYasha’s demon blood takes over anytime his life is in danger and the Tessaiga is out of reach.

Taken: No [General]- Name: Kagome Higurashi Alias: Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 15 years old Hair: Black Eyes: Brown (Blue in the manga) Height: 5’1” or 155cm Weight: 109lbs or 49.4kg Status: Kikyo’s Reincarnation Quote: “Sit boy!” “Osuwari!” “InuYasha!”
[About]- Personality: Courageous and surprisingly smart, Kagome has a strong moral center, determination, and lots of tact. Though she and InuYasha seem to fight a lot, she is very protective of him and the other members of the gang. She knows her feelings well, and does not try to hide them from herself.
Background: Kagome Higurashi led a normal life until she fell into the Bone Eater's Well and was transported to the Sengoku Era of Japan (1467 to about 1600). After she arrived she was attacked by a demon called Mistress Centipede and while she was running away, she accidently freed the half demon named InuYasha, who had been under a spell for 50 years.
Soon after meeting, the village that Kagome landed in learns that she holds the Shikon Jewel in her body. The jewel is soon extracted and split into dozens of small shards. InuYasha wants to reunite all the parts so that he can become a full-blooded demon. Kagome goes along with him in order to help keep the shards out of the hands of other more corrupt demons.
Kagome and InuYasha's relationship gets off to a very rough start. Kagome reminds InuYasha of Kikyo, the woman that cast the spell on him, and with whom he was in love. Later, much to Kagome's surprise, everyone learns that she is in fact the reincarnation of Kikyo. Throughout their adventures, the two become closer, but once Kikyo is resurrected by Urasue, their relationship gets put on hold while Inu-Yasha tries to sort out his feelings for Kikyo.
Kagome's bravery and her (sometimes) excellent marksmanship with her bow and arrow are a constant asset to the group of adventurers in their quest to reunite all the shards of the Shikon Jewel.
[Abilities]- Just as Kikyo had much skill with a bow, Kagome can shoot Hamaya [Purity Arrows], which can damage even the most powerful bad guys in the show, like Naraku. She also eventually can even use her bow to ward off demons.

Taken: No [General]- Name: Shippo Alias: Shippou Race: Fox Demon Gender: Male Age: About 50 years old (appears 5) Hair: Reddish-auburn Eyes: Turquoise Height: 1’5” or about 43cm Weight: Unknown Status: Quote: “Wait! Don’t leave me!!”
[About]- Personality: Also hot-tempered, but with the innocent mind of a child, Shippo likes to help out whenever possible (since his fighting abilities aren't too much help, being that he's so young). He's very observant of other people's feelings, even if, like a kid, he blurts things out a bit too much.
Background: Kagome and InuYasha first meet Shippo on a battle field, where he has disguised himself as a spirit, in order to scare the two into giving up their Shikon shards. The reason Shippo needs the jewel is so that he can avenge the death of his father at the hands of Hiten and Manten, the Thunder Brothers.
Shippo is a demon known as a kitsune, or fox demon. He has the the power of illusion, which he uses to decieve and confuse. Shippo's powers also include the ablility to change shape. He has used this power to become everything from a bow to a skull and in dire situations, he can use his fox fire to keep his enemies at bay.
Even though he comes across as a bit of a brat, Shippo is really a very kind person, especially when it comes to Kagome. He feels very protective of her because of all she did to help him after his father died. Shippo doesn't exactly feel the same towards InuYasha, as the two are constantly arguing or putting down one another. Shippou gets nervous from time to time, but when the chips are down, he can be really brave, and has risked his life on several occasions for his companions.
[Abilities]- He can become a floating pink balloon, leave a trail of Naki Kinoko [Weeping Mushrooms] in case someone needs to follow him, and change his appearance (the transformations aren't always complete). His attacks include magical illusions: Tsubushi Goma [Smashing Top], Bunshin [Divide], and Kitsune Bi [Fox Fire]. Some of his "ingredients" include: ofuda [charm], ojizousan no moto [Element of Ojizou-san: an enlightened person who looks over children, travelers, and the Underworld], ganguma [toy horse], ganguhebi [toy snake], goma [top], happa [leaf], kinoko [mushrooms], and dosogeri [acorns].

Taken: No [General]- Name: Miroku Alias: Houshi-sama Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 18 years old Hair: Black Eyes: Purple-black Height: 5’5” or 165cm Weight: 152lbs or 68.9kg Status: Traveling Monk Quote: “This void in my hand is my family’s curse.” “Would you bear my children?”
[About]- Personality: Miroku seems superfluous and flaky, but he constantly worries about the curse in his hand, and feels that time is running out. He has a good sense of humor, cares for the others in the gang, and makes great sacrifices if he feels it will help them.
Background: Miroku is a lustful monk and is quite skilled in combat. Miroku has been known to do some less than holy acts in order to get ahead, and most of his good deeds are preformed for the sake of women or money.
Miroku's grandfather was cursed by Naraku. The story goes that Naraku had transformed himself into a courtesan, and just like Miroku, his grandfather was quite fond of the fairer sex. Naraku pierced his grandfather's hand and that is what brought about the curse. The hole is passed down though each generation, and it widens each year. It continues to do so until it has devoured it's victim. The only way to break the curse is to kill Naraku.
Miroku is also the one that tells InuYasha about Naraku killing a priestess fifty years ago. After hearing this, InuYasha is able to piece together what happened to cause Kikyo to seal him away.
Over the course of the story, Miroku and InuYasha have begun to get along better, the void in Miroku's hand has proven to be a great asset, and his spiritual powers and quite helpful as well. Also of note, Miroku is sometimes seen running scams with a large Tanuki, the Tanuki turns itself into a scary looking demon and Miroku "exorcises" him. They then split the profits from the excorcism.
[Abilities]- Though his Wind Tunnel is his most powerful weapon, he sometimes cannot use it due to Naraku's Saimyoushou [Hell's Insects], which sometimes pop up to willingly get sucked into the Wind Tunnel, stinging Miroku as they enter. However, he also has some significant holy powers, which he can use to protect the others by making a invisible shell over them, and his shakujou [monk's staff] is a pretty good holy weapon.

Taken: No [General]- Name: Sango Alias: Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 18 years old Hair: Dark brown Eyes: Dark brown Height: 5’3” or 160cm Weight: Unknown Status: Taijiya (Demon exterminator) Quote: “Mind explaining what you’re doing up there, monk?”
[About]- Personality: Sango really loves her brother, and hates to see him being used. However, the only thing keeping him alive is a Shikon shard in his back. She is trying desperately to get her brother back, not the lifeless shell that Naraku has made--the real Kohaku doesn't want to remember what he did (though he was forced) that awful night. She is a brave, kind, loving person.
Background: We first see Sango the youkai exterminator fighting a giant centipede with her huge boomerang, Hiraikotsu. After killing the centipede she takes a Shikon shard from it and states that the Shikon Jewel was created in her village.
Sango's town is later shown and we are introduced to her father, her pet named Kilala, and her little brother Kohaku. Sango is collecting the Shikon pieces in hopes of finding someone that will be able to purify them.
One night Sango, her father, and Kohaku are called to a castle to exterminate a large spider demon, during the fight, it appears that the demon has been killed, but a small spider jumps on Kohaku. Kohaku kills his father and attempts to kill Sango, but not before the lord of the castle has them both killed. A young man there on business realizes that the lord was possessed and kills him, but it appears to be too late for Sango and Kohaku, so they are buried in the garden. Sango (and unknown to her Kohaku) managed to survive. Naraku arrives shortly there after and convinces Sango that InuYasha has destroyed her town in his quest for the Shikon Jewel.
After learning the truth, Sango decides to travel with the group in order to avenge her fellow townsfolk. Kohaku now travels with Naraku under his possession.
[Abilities]- Sango has a great weapon, her Hiraikotsu [Flying Bone], a huge boomerang. She uses it to slice the enemy, whether it's one big demon or a bunch of them together, and to block attacks. She can also use a small katana very well, and there is a hidden pop-up dagger on her right wrist.

Kikyo Taken: NoKikyo was a priestess charged with guarding the Shikon Jewel from falling into the wrong hands. Demons from across Japan traveled to Kikyo's small village in an attempt to steal the jewel from her and gain incredible powers. One of those demons was InuYasha, who repeatedly attempted to steal the jewel. Neither he, nor Kikyo ever attempted to harm one another in the process, and eventually they began to grow close Kikyo believed that they were both similar because they had to mask their humanity. She felt that she could not be a normal human because if she was, she would be slaughtered by demons. InuYasha refused to acknowledge his human side, and was trying to become a full-blooded demon with the aid of the Shikon Jewel. Because of their similar situations they began to grow very close. Kikyo realized that if InuYasha would use the jewel to become human rather than a demon, the could both lead normal lifes. The jewel would become pure and vanish, thus freeing Kikyo of her obligations as the Shikon's protector. On one fateful day, InuYasha appeared before Kikyo and brutally attacked her and took the Shikon Jewel. Betrayed and confused, Kikyo used the last of her powers to put InuYasha in a sleep-like state for over fifty years. After completing this, she died. Fifty years later, Kikyo was revived by the Ogress Urasue. Upon meeting InuYasha again, he began to realize that their stories did not match-up, and that he never attacked her. It is later revealed that Naraku disguised himself as InuYasha in order to steal the jewel. Unable to believe this, Kikyo still seeks to kill her former lover, InuYasha. Age: 17 (At time of original death) Her Personality: Kikyo seems very sad and regretful. Her "resurrected" personality is actually different from the personality she had when she was alive. Her new personality is much more bitter, and she is easily angered. Her Skills: Kikyo has wonderful skill with a bow, and shoots very powerful Hamaya [Purity Arrows]. Her holy powers give her a lot of resistance to Naraku's spells, and she can always defeat many Illusion or Control spells. The Shinidama Chuu are the demons that she controls.

Kaede Taken: NoKaede is the younger sister of Kikyo, the protector of the Shikon Jewel. After her sister's death, Kaede lived on, and continued to lead the village in her sister's absence. As decades passed, Kaede grew older, and upon the arrival of Kagome many memories of her deceased sister resurfaced. Once InuYasha was freed, Kaede struck up an uneasy friendship with InuYasha, and trusted him to help Kagome find the pieces of the Shikon Jewel. Kaede is also the one responsible for the prayer beads InuYasha wears around his neck. When he first encountered Kagome he believed that she had something to do with Kikyou, so he attempted to kill her. In order to prevent this, Kaede slipped the beads around his neak, and forced him to respond to the command "sit". Age: 60 Her Personality: Kaede is gruff and doesn't take any BS from anyone. She has a lot of faith in the gang, and wishes to give her sister peace as soon as possible. I think that she disagrees with Kikyo on making InuYasha go to hell with her--it goes against some of her principles, I'm assuming. Her Skills: Since we really haven't seen Kaede as anything but a child and an old woman, we can't tell if she had any special powers when she was younger. She does have at least some of the holy powers that Kikyo has, but not to the same degree. Kaede does know a lot about medicines, however. Though Kagome supplies the modern-day equipment, Kaede usually treats wounds when the gang comes back to her village. Pic:

Myoga Taken: NoMyoga the flea demon, was once the retainer to InuYasha and Sesshomaru's father, a canine god. After the death of their father, Myoga was told to guard the Tetsusaiga, a powerful sword that belonged to the god. When Sesshomaru began searching for it, Myoga went in search of InuYasha to ensure it did not fall into the wrong hands. After saving the sword, Myoga stuck around and has continued to travel with InuYasha and serve him faithfully. Unlike Sesshomaru's servant, Jaken, Myoga rarely gets involved in any sort of physical battles. He often gets crushed by someone assuming he is a regular bug. One of the few abilities he has ever shown, is when he saved InuYasha's life by sucking a Spider Head's venom from his system. Myoga also is shown to have a great knowledge of other types of youkai. He is often able to identify an unknown demon and provide some background infomation on them to his companions. Age: Unknown His Personality: Myouga is a big coward. I would be, too, if I were simply a bug that anyone could squash. He often only hangs around fight scenes if he's with someone not involved in the fight. Usually, he high-tails it away from danger. He's a compulsive liar sometimes (not often), but the lies have had the potential to be very harmful. His Skills: The knowledge that he has obtained due to his old age, and after being around and biting many youkai and humans, is an asset to the group, usually. Pic:

Sesshomaru Taken: YesSesshomaru is the half-brother of InuYasha. They can best be described as "estranged", to put it lightly. Sesshomaru dislikes humans, and knowing that his brother is half human seems to be one of the main reasons Sesshomaru dislikes him. Sesshomaru is often seen in the company of his loyal servant Jaken and a large Oni that he is usually riding on. Upon hearing that his half-brother had been freed from the spell he immediately began searching for him in order to learn of the location of their father's legendary sword, Tetsusaiga. After a long skirmish, Sesshomaru found out, much to his disappointment that he is unable to weild the Tetsusaiga because of his demon blood. On the other hand, because InuYasha is half human, he can use the powerful sword. After a long battle, InuYasha was able to drive off Sesshomaru and cut off one of his arms in the process. Sesshomaru arrived on the scene again later, and with the help of Naraku was able to temporarily use a human's arm in place of his old one to use the Tetsusaiga. He has recently gained a new travelling companion, a young girl named Rin whom he seems to be taking care of. He has also gained the Tetsusaiga's companion blade- the Tenseiga. Age: Appears 20 His Personality: Sesshomaru is cold-hearted, but we have seen signs of compassion. In episode 35, he saves the life of a human child, Rin, and then is seen taking care of her, even guarding her, in later episodes. He still has a lot of ambition, of course, and he still hates InuYasha's guts, but perhaps someday he'll come to tolerate his little half-brother. His Skills: In his human shaped form, Sesshoumaru can use many poison attacks (Dokkasou [Toxic Flower Claw] and Dokumukou [Paralyzing Poison]). He can move very fast, and he has excellent senses. In his demonic form, he's a very large dog with sharp, strong, poisonous teeth, who can breath out very toxic, acidic air (Jakimukou [Paralyzing Miasma]). He primarily uses a sword named Toukijin, useful for when Tenseiga isn't helpful in battle, and Toukijin's attacks include Kenatsu [Sword Blast]. A "special attack" listed in the official character guide is Kegawa no Riyou [Pelt User], which refers to the strange ways in which he uses the pelt over his shoulder throughout the series. His poison whip is not mentioned in the character guide, but it just might be an extension of Dokkasou. Updates: Bakusaiga is Sesshomaru's most recent signature weapon. The Bakusaiga manifested itself in the hand of Sesshomaru's fully regenerated, and longtime-severed, left arm during his battle with Magatsuhi. The sword is the polar opposite of the Tenseiga, as it has the power to decompose any organic material that its blade comes in contact with, nullifying any regenerative abilities while doing so. The blade itself is the manifestation of Sesshomaru's own true power, born from his detachment of InuYasha's Tetsusaiga. Pic: (In his untransformed form ) (His transformed form )

Rin Taken: NoAfter a particularly difficult battle with InuYasha, Sesshomaru is left extremely injured and alone, a young girl who seems to be unable to speak comes across him and begins to slowly nurse him back to health. The girl is discovered by her fellow townspeople to be stealing food (for Sessho-maru) and she is severly beaten as punishment. The people say that they are getting tired of dealing with her, and that Rin, as they call her, has not spoken since her parents died. Rin returns with the food for Sesshomaru, and he takes notice of the beating she has recieved, he asks her what happened, but she does not answer, and he seems not to mind. A few days later, Jaken finds Sesshomaru, but just as he does, Sesshomaru smells blood in the air. Deciding to check it out, he finds that Rin has been killed by a pack of wolves (Kouga's wolves to be exact). After frightening the wolves away, Sesshomaru uses the Tenseiga to bring her back to life, and she has travelled with him ever since. Age: 8 Her Personality: Rin is absolutely adhered to Sesshomaru. She does exactly what he says, no matter what. She even makes fun of Jaken when he annoys Sesshomaru in order to help out her savior. She's otherwise a happy child, and pretty likeable. Her Skills: She's a human child...she can't really do anything. She can at least beat up on Jaken. That's a plus any day. Pic:

Jaken Taken: YesJaken is the loyal servant of Sesshomaru, he is a short, reptilian looking demon. He is often seen carrying the "Staff of Heads" which was originally used to locate the Tetsusaiga. Jaken is not the cowardly servant that Myoga is. He is often seen getting involved in battles, or dispatching of nusances when his master, Sesshomaru, doesn't want to get his hands dirty. After Rin joins them, Jaken is primarily charged with keeping her in line and making sure she does not wander off and get herself in trouble. Sesshomaru may be rather abusive towards Jaken, but he does have a soft spot for the creature. He brings Jaken back from the dead using his sword, Tenseiga. Age: Unknown His Personality: Jaken has a firm faith in the abilities of his master, Sessho-maru. He knows that to see Sesshomaru smiling is a scary thing, that when Sesshomaru saves a human (Rin) it is a shocking thing to behold, and that his master is a powerful demon, able to destroy any enemy (or so he hopes). Jaken's sucking up can make him look like a brown-noser, but he's otherwise a good, well-developed character. His Skills: Jaken does have a few magical abilities, granted to him by the Nintoujou [Staff of Heads]. The heads shoot energy out of their mouths if Jaken points the right head in the right direction and taps the staff on the ground. He also used this staff in episode 79 to create water. He rarely uses this staff, though, so I'm not sure what all of its powers are. Pic:

Koga Taken: NoKoga is the somewhat dim-witted leader of a group called the "Youkai-Wolf Tribe" Koga is a youkai that has taken human form and leads his pack of wolves. After running into InuYasha and the others, Koga realizes that Kagome can see that he has Shikon shards in his one of his arms and both of his legs. Realizing that she can see the shards, he decides to kidnap her in order to help him destroy the Gokuraku-chou's leader. The Gokuraku-chou are youkai that are basically a large head with wings and a human torso on top of their head. Koga plans on making his tribe invincible by gathering all of the Shikon shards, and he realizes he'll need Kagome to make this happen. Later, Koga decides that he'll "make Kagome his woman" to which Kagome responds with a slap. Kagome tells Kouga that she and InuYasha have feelings for one another, so Kouga explains that next time they meet, he'll kill InuYasha. After their second battle, Koga loses the Shikon shard in his arm, and Kagome stops InuYasha from fighting him while he's in such a weakened state. InuYasha takes this to mean that she is returning Koga's affections, although she doesn't mean it in that way. Also, at one point, almost the entirety of Koga’s wolf demon tribe is slaughtered by Kagura under Naraku’s orders. Ever since, Koga had hated Naraku and all his minions with the greatest passion he possesses. He pursues Naraku, meaning to exact revenge for how his tribe had been massacred. Age: 18 His Personality: Arrogant and more often than not over-confident, Koga is very sure of himself, and he doesn’t have many insecurities about his physical prowess, his manly charm, or really anything. He does have a right to brag, since he possesses unusual speed and strength, and he does flaunt this right to brag. He is highly confident and honest around others, though if someone tries to injure his pride, Koga will likely retaliate with a physical attack. However, Koga also has a good sense of his own abilities, and will not pursue a fight that he thinks he can’t win. He is brash but bluntly honest. The wolf demon is loyal to the point that it could be thought of as a fault. Even so, he is unafraid to be extremely and publically affectionate to those he loves. His Skills:Speed: Due to the jewel shards in his legs, Koga can run faster than almost any other demon alive. His legs also have an unusual amount of strength. Whirlwind: Koga can move so quickly that the air he kicks up takes the form of a whirlwind. Heightened Senses: Like a wolf, Koga has a highly advanced sense of smell and hearing. Goraishi: A claw that Koga earns from his ancestor spirits so that he can avenge the deaths of his comrades and destroy Naraku. He can only use it once. The claw shields him, barely, from Naraku's corruption of the jewel. Since Koga has already used it once, he cannot use it again. Pic:

Naraku Taken: YesNaraku is one of the most powerful demons in the series, and is the the puppeteer pulling the strings behind the scenes. At first he tracks InuYasha and his companions from a distance, but after being detected by Kagome, he is forced to face his foes for the first time. At first Naraku appears to be cowardly by letting others do his dirty work for him. He states that this is because he is between transformations, and he would be unable to defeat InuYasha in this state. His history with InuYasha stretches back over fifty years, to shortly before Kikyo's death. At one time Kikyo took care of a badly burned criminal named Onigumo. Onigumo had a twisted love for her, but the feeling was not mutual. As Kikyo's love for InuYasha grew, her powers began to weaken, until demons were able to close in on Onigumo. Drawn there by his evil thoughts, the demons recieved Onigumo's sould in a bargin for great power. Before dying he asked that the demons "give him the strength to steal the Shikon Jewel and make Kikyo mine...!" The demons did this by eating Onigumo and becoming one, and thus Naraku was born. Age: 50 (23 in appearance and mindset) His Personality: Naraku lets others do the dirty work for him. His detachments (demons born from his body) terrorize the Inu gang while Naraku stays behind the scenes. So far, his detachments include: #1-Kanna, #2-Kagura, #3-Goshinki, #4/5-Kageroumaru & Juuroumaru, and the latest is #6-Hakudoushi. He tried to release the part of him that contained Onigumo (renamed Musou), but little bits of Onigumo were still inside Naraku, and Naraku was forced to re-absorb Musou. His Skills: Naraku can regenerate body parts, create weapons with his body, control demons, fly, generate detachments, form miasmas (a noxious and corrosive atmosphere/fog), and hide his scent and demonic energy using his extremely powerful barriers. The toxic energy his body releases if injured is called shouki, and he uses it to form the miasmas (those who try to injure him or bite him have a nasty surprise). To "observe" things outside his castle and to protect his cowardly @$$, Naraku uses kugutsu [puppets]. They're the monkey-suit/tentacle-monster things that the Inu gang sometimes fights. Pic:

Kanna Taken: NoKanna is the emotionless, unquestioning spawn of Naraku. Although she looks young, she is the second of all his creations. Kanna is always seen with her mirror which allows her to show Naraku where almost anyone is at a particular time as well as absorb souls of her victims. Once she absorbs their souls they fall under her possession. She first encountered InuYasha and the others when she stole the souls of a group of villagers and tried to make them kill them while using Miroku's friend Koharu as bait. She is Naraku's most trusted creature, and he takes much better care of her than her younger sister Kagura. In fact Naraku often keeps Kanna out of harms way while sending Kagura on dangerous missions. Age: Less than 1 (appears 10) Her Personality: Her name in English means "nihility" and that's just what she is. She's completely devoid of emotion, even coloring, and she speaks with a soft, chilly voice. You could say that she has no personality at all. Her Skills: She has the ability to use her mirror to pull in the souls of living beings and manipulate the leftover bodies as she wishes (or have someone else do so, like Kagura). Her mirror also serves as one of Naraku's ways to observe things outside of his vision. Pic:

Kohaku Taken: NoKohaku is a demon exterminator in training. His sister, Sango, and his father were sent to deal with a demon at a lord's manor one night. That was when everything went terribly wrong... A small spider demon landed on Kohaku's back and he lost control of himself. He started attacking his family. Killing his father and severely wounding his sister. Sango was left for dead and Kohaku went to serve his new master, Naraku. Kohaku has constantly proven to be a difficult opponent for his sister. She knows that he does not know what he is doing, and Naraku has been able to use Kohaku as leverage against Sango even going so far as to get her to betray the group. Age: 11 (at death) His Personality: From what we see of the normal Kohaku, he's actually very kind, even shy, and loves his sister very much. His ordeal that night traumatized him, so his mind is vulnerable to Naraku's tricks, but hopefully his sister's love (and the help of the Inu gang) will get him through his pain. His Skills: Kohaku uses a weapon called a kusarikama [chained sickle]. He's pretty good with it, but his sister can defeat him any day (he's just too young). As a boy training to be an exterminator, he's good at normal fighting techniques, too. Pic:
