Kagura

As Naraku increases his power he is able to spawn demons from himself. He creates his "children" in large pots of organs, bones and various bits and pieces.

Kagura, the wind user is the first of his children to appear. Because Naraku's children smell like him, it is assumed that Naraku has assumed the form of this young woman, but soon the truth is realized. Kagura is a ruthless enemy, and Naraku manipulates her well. He often sends her on dangerous missions and at times seems to force her to take unneccessary risks with her life on the line. Because of this Kagura holds a deep hatred of him, but because he physically holds her heart she is unable to leave him or risk dying.

Kagura immediately makes an enemy of Koga when she lures his tribe to Naraku's castle only to slaughter them brutally. Because of this he joins in the hunt for Naraku along with InuYasha and the others. He seeks revenge against Kagura for the death of his comrades, but her wind abilites have kept her out of his reach on numerous occasions.

Kagura desires nothing more than to be free of Naraku. She has attempted to have Sesshomaru, who she believes is the only one capable of defeating Naraku, help her, but he seems to have no interest in it.

Age: Less than 1 (appears 17)

Her Personality: Seemingly over-confident, Kagura does know her powers very well, and pretty much acts cruelly to anyone not on her side. She has no qualms about watching her comrads kill entire villages. Though she is controlled by Naraku, she does her jobs for him as efficiently as she can.

Her Skills: Kagura has complete control of the wind in the area around her. This ability used to make life difficult for InuYasha since he had to use wind currents to perform one of his most powerful attacks, but he later overcame this problem. Kagome, if she's able to help, can dispel Kagura's control by shooting her Hamaya [Purity Arrows]. Kagura can use Fuujin no Mai [Dance of Blades], Ryuuja no Mai [Dance of the Dragon [Tornadoes]], and Shikabane Mai [Dance Of The Dead]. She can also use a feather trick to fly around, and generally is a cool bad guy.

Kilala

Taken: No
Sango's pet demon. When we first see her, she's actually pretty huge and scary-looking with a demon's head in her mouth. Kilala has become a significant portion of the group's fighting squad.

Age: Unknown (over 300 years old)

Her Personality: This feline demon is very protective of Sango and her friends. She can't speak, but she's still smart enough to completely understand what other people are saying. Note: In episode 26, we see a short scene near the end in which Kilala is standing with Midoriko, the powerful miko who first "created" the Shikon no Tama, so Kilala must be really old.

Her Skills: When in her big size, Kilala can fly, carrying perhaps three people on her back. She's also got huge, saber-cat-like teeth and claws that are good for hand-to-hand fighting, but they're not too useful against very powerful enemies.

Ayame

Taken: No
Ayame is the leader of the white wolf tribe. She is the granddaughter of the wolf elder. She lives with him since her parents died. She also has a purple iris which contains spiritual powers. She always wears it in her hair.

Ayame is a wolf demon that grew up in the mountains. When she was very young, Koga rescued her and promised to marry her when she grew up. Well, she came back one day, holding him to his promise. She then realizes that Koga has to avenge his tribe (earlier on, Kagura killed them.)

Ayame is strong in her own right. She throws out grass and leaves that can slice through demons, and she helps save Hakkaku and Ginta, two of Koga's wolves, from demons. Later on, her tribe is attacked by zombies, and she and Koga have to fight them off. This starts the Shinchinitai saga.

On a side note, Ayame is a character that was made specifically for the anime, and was not in the manga.

Ayame's name means "iris" (as in the flower) in Japanese.

Age: 15

Her Personality: She is such a sweet woman. She is deeply in love with Koga.

Her Skills: She has a purple iris which contains spiritual powers. She can also use leaves and grass.

Lord Keiran

Lord Keiran had been the lord of the Southern lands until he had tried to take over the Northern lands and he had been put to sleep inside of a tree where no one could find him by the priestess Midoriko. He had awoken 500 years later when a jewel shard had entered the tree and awoken him. He broke free of his prison and figured out what was going on in the world. A demon known as Naraku was searching for these shards along with a hanyou named InuYasha. He had taken his shard to Naraku and told him to gather them all for him and he would make him a full demon, and one of the most powerful.

He had been hiding near the tree in the Fuzen forest and had discovered that Naraku was dead and a miko girl named Kagome had the Shikon no tama. He had called a demon to take the jewel from this miko. He later found out that the demon had been shot with one of her arrows and once again the jewel was shattered. He had resurrected Naraku and told him to go and find the jewel. Naraku told him that in order for him to do so he needed all of his ‘children’ to come back from the dead so he resurrected all of them, even Kohaku but did not let Naraku have his mind powers over the boy, he found Kohaku insignificant.

Lord Keiran stays in the Fuzen forest as he waits for Naraku to bring him all of the shards of the jewel so he can rule over all of the lands.

Age: Unknown

His Personality: He is malevolent, vile, malicious and sadistic. He has no mercy for anyone and will kill just for the fun of it. He is very conniving and manipulative. He has no affection for anyone and does not desire one for he believes that love only weakens the strong. He wants the jewel so he can become powerful enough to rule over the four lands, and perhaps Kagome’s time as well.

His Skills: Lord Keiran controls a demon panther named Mitsku. He also has a dagger that can bring back the dead and if he wishes to use it in a harmful way it transforms into a red katana that can weaken even the strongest demon. The hilt of the dagger is black and the sheath is red. He has another weapon that he calls Stiehl. It is a full on sword whose blade glows blue. It can control the elements but mostly lightning.

Hachi

Taken: No
Hachi a is a close friend of Miroku. He will serve Miroku through thick and thin. Hachi is almost always rewarded in some way for his services.

In the Japanese version of the show, Hachi is actually a Tanuki demon, not a raccoon demon. A tanuki is an mammal native to Japan that looks like a cross between a dog and raccoon. Since very few people in the US know what a tanuki is, Hachi was changed to a raccoon demon for the US release.

Age: Unknown

His Personality: He is a very loyal friend and will help Miroku when ever he is in need. He can be stubborn to help at times.

His Skills: Hachi has the ability to transform himself into different forms. These forms are not very powerful though.
