Leaves crunched under the girl’s feet. Her arms were wrapped tightly around her. Her forest green jacket was hardly enough to keep her warm. The sun was setting and she could just make out the form of a full moon. Jin ran her fingers through her brown almost black hair. She entered her uncle’s house. Her uncle was sleeping on the couch. Jin put a blanket over him. This is how he spent most of his days anymore. He had been in a car crash a year ago and lost his leg. He didn’t like his fake leg for it was too large and they didn’t have enough money for another one. She kissed him on the forehead. “Bye,” She whispered, “I may not be coming back.” She said that every time she left usually he was asleep. He knew about everything. But he never said a word. If she wasn’t home he called the school with an excuse. They had a sort of silent promise.
She went to her bedroom and changed to her black clothing. She put some medicine herbs in her belt. She bound her hair up with more hair. She parted her bangs in the middle. Her swords hung by her bed waiting to be used. She strung them to her belt. She put her sandals on and strung the ribbon up. She walked out of the house. It was dark now. Good she would be harder to see. She ran fast as she could to the Higarashi Shrine. It looked as though every one was inside eating diner. She hurried to the bone eaters well. She had found out about it by following Kagome home one day. She quickly jumped in. She hated this part. She landed her hands hitting the dirt. The adrenalin triggered her power. Images flickered through her mind. Kagome, a demon in red, a jewel, and many more. She quickly removed her hand. She was now in the past.
She saw a carriage passing. A noble was inside she guessed. She grabbed onto the back of it careful not to use her power. She closed her eyes and drifted halfway into sleep. Thump. Jin hit the ground hard. A very rude awakening. Dirt filled her eyes. She rubbed it out. The carriage had gone over a bump and was no were in sight. She looked around her. She was sitting in a crater. She looked at the ground. “Read” She said silently. A white glow emitted from her hands. Images and sounds rushed into her mind. She let out a yelp. This must have been a battle field. She saw the boy in red again. She shook her head no matter. It was no concern of hers.
