Our story begins not with InuYasha or any of the other normal characters. It begins with Midoriko and a new villain, Lord Keiran. He is the lord of the southern lands where he had been sealed inside of a tree by Midoriko when he tried to kill her so he could take over the northern lands. After Midoriko’s death, Lord Keiran’s seal began to weaken but it was still strong enough to contain him.
Even through his imprisonment he still heard rumors about the jewel shards and knew he had to get his hands on one so he could finally set himself free of this wretched curse. He had also heard the rumors of Naraku, a powerful demon that was trying to collect the shards for his own gain. The lord knew that he could use this to his advantage if only he could find a way out so for years he began to plot his escape though it was not successful until one day…
Naraku had finally been defeated and the shards were collected. Everything seemed to be going well and right for the Inu gang. Kohaku had been set free so he traveled with Sango, Kagome decided that she would come into the Feudal era during the weekends and days that she didn’t have school, and the marriage ceremony for Miroku and Sango had been set and planned. The jewel was still there however so the gang had to fight even more demons to keep them from getting the jewel. If only Kagome had listened to Kikyo when she said to use it then the next shattering would not have occurred.
While bathing in a hot spring a demon had stolen the jewel from Kagome. When she found it the poor girl had not learned her lesson from the first time and shot it with one of her arrows, shattering it and sending the shards all over Japan once more. One of these shards would cause the most fatal mistake. Lord Keiran was finally free.
Though the barrier around the tree had broken and he could freely travel he was still bound to the southern lands. There was a certain grave of interest here in the southern lands that Lord Keiran would use to his advantage. With his demon sword he would resurrect Naraku to go and find the shards for him so he can finally be free from the full effect of Midoriko’s curse and so he can rule over all of Feudal and current Japan. The lord was successful in resurrecting Naraku which set many things into ruin such as Miroku and Sango’s wedding. Kagome now had to do as she did before and come back whenever she got the chance. Things were going horribly now save one thing. Kohaku still had his memories and would never be under Naraku’s control but he would be under Lord Keiran’s though the boy has yet to find out.
With Naraku alive and this new villain making his appearance will the Inu gang be able to collect the shards before they do or will the world be lost in the chaos created by this lord?
