ɤ I’m the voice ɤ

ɤ I’m the voice ɤ
ɤ Inside your head ɤ

I seem to be struck by you.
Zen smiled and nodded in response to her question, “Of course; the elders don’t tolerate that kind of behavior, it’s just plain rude,” he said, laughing a bit; Hara looked at him questioningly; she had no idea he’d be able to lie. But Zen just shrugged slightly, as though he didn’t know he could either, but he supposed he could in some situations.
He looked at Kanrya in surprise when she asked if he’d want to travel with her and Yukina. He had never really intended to travel with anyone else, enjoying the freedom of having just Hara with him, but he found himself accepting the offer with, “Do you think it’d be okay with her? I’d love to, but only if she wouldn’t mind, either.”
Hara stared at him in open surprise, her mouth agape, before she pulled herself together enough to hiss, “What are you thinking? The thief and the violent one? Are you serious? Please tell me you’re not serious, Zen. Please, I need to hear that you aren’t serious. You aren’t are you? Come on, Zen, you’re joking, right?”
He silenced her by holding up a hand, before he collected his thoughts enough to reply “I think it’d be nice; they aren’t as bad as you think, you’re just sour because she hit you. Besides, we don’t really know where we’re going, it couldn’t hurt to have someone who does,” he paused, then, quietly, “I kind of like them, too.”
He blushed slightly under Hara’s hard stare, deciding against adding that he especially liked the very one that had hit her earlier; he doubted that would go over very well. Finally, after staring at him for several moments, she seemed to come to some conclusion.
“You’ve lost your mind.”
Her sudden comment shocked him into a quiet laughter, as she simply stared at him, shook her head, muttered, “Let me know when you’re sane again,” and stalked off a ways to stand guard.
He was brought back to reality when Kanrya spoke up, asking him if he traveled a lot. He heard Hara’s snort, as if it were the stupidest question in the world, but he ignored the Thylacine, saying, “Well, I’m supposed to, this is my time to learn about the outside world, but Hara and I haven’t seen much but the river until now,” he paused, then added, “What about you?” to the sound of another of Hara’s snorts. Zen merely passed it off as Hara being Hara; she’d get over her wounded pride soon enough and be back to her jolly old self in no time.
