Noli cursed as he jumped from an oak branch to a birh branch..naraku's scent was getting nearer allready..just that morning noli had picked up naraku's scent so clearly and he had been pursueing him from morning to near dusk. The sun was setting in the distant hills as noli made his way to the location of the scent. Noli moved much faster than any of his old demonslayer companions that naraku had slain..that was because of the twelve jewel shards noli had embedded in his body.
Noli was in his full demonslayer outfit and ready to take vengance on his family that had been slain by naraku along with the village....noli had grew up in that village and naraku destroyed it for three stinkin shards. "You wanted three shards naraku?! Well come get me ive got a dozen for ya!?" Noli shouted out in rage as he jumped into the ruins of an all to familar village..the old demon slayer village..noli's old home.

Naraku listened to all of this, taking in Noli's words as if they were actually important. He sat atop of a hut that was one of the few to stay standing after he had attacked this village and stolen their jewel shards. His baboon attire glowed orange in the light of the setting sun. It would be dark soon. His energy would soon be fully restored. Only a few more minutes and he would strike. Maybe just playing with the boy would make the day fly by.
Naraku let loose an audible chuckle, hoping the boy would hear. He would not show himself. Not yet. He would wait until the time was right. Naraku lifted his head and began to speak in a low and menacing voice.
"Tell me demon slayer; are you willing to give up those shards without a fight?"

Noli stopped when he heard the chuckle..he had heard that same chuckle in his nightmarer's for a year now..he would know that sound anywhere. "naraku." Noli said as he sniffed the air..trying to locate naraku's scent but the scent was far too strong to be able to pinpoint.
"I dont know naraku but getting your butt whipped by a couple of humans and a half demon who didn't have a single jewel shard to there name at the time doesnt go to well for your reputation."
Noli put a hand on his broadsword that was sheathed across his back. "Iv'e wated to long for this naraku..i missed out on killing you once..and im sure as frack not going to miss out again...oh and" Noli said as he pulled a feather out of his pack and let it float in the wind as it landed on the soft dirt in front of him. "Your witch kagura is an elusive one..and quite beautiful too. You might want to return this to her i belive that feather is hers." Noli had gotten that feather from his fight with kagura..it was the only thing that noli had been able to cut when he had fought the wind witch

Naraku listened to all Noli had to say. "You sound as if you think you could beat me in battle." He smirked and jumped from the roof of the hut. The sun had now set, and the moon was rising at a rapid pace. It was the perfect time to show himself. Naraku stepped forward into the light of the moon; his baboon attire glowing white as the moonlight reflected.
"I know what you seek, Noli of the Demon Slayers. You seek revenge on me for destroying this helpless village." He was now in full view of the boy. "They were defenseless, so I took advantage of that. While all of their strongest and most skilled were away, I struck. Taking the remaining Jewel Shard with me." Naraku glared at Noli, his eyes glowing it's usual red color.

Noli glared at the figure in the babboon pelt "I thought you would have known by now naraku...i dont deal in subtleties. I wouldn't be standing here before you if i hadn't the confedence that i could destroy you...in fact." Noli took his hand off his broad sword and put it on the hilt of the katana on his waist. "I hear you have a master now naraku...lord kiran is it?" Noli drew the black bladed katana for its sheath and let the dark blade glisten in the full moon light. "Do you recognize this sword? It's a very special blade..like none other..even if i lose this battle..i win." Noli said as he chuckled to himself..it was true that this sword allowed him to kill naraku if he wanted to pay the ultimate price this blade demanded for such a task.
"I see you havn't changed a bit naraku." Noli untied the bandana that held his jet black ear length slightly spiky hair back. "But i have." Noli's hair fell down revealing two panther ears that signified noli's newly recived half demon blood.

Naraku didn't gasp. He didn't jump back with surprise. He didn't show any reaction to Noli's proof of his newly recieved half demon blood. He merely shook his head. "Your demon blood will not increase your chances of ever succeeding in bringing me down." For once, Naraku was unsure. He hadn't sensed Noli ever having this demon blood before, and now he found himself wondering how a mere human had recieved such a thing.
Deciding to drop the subject, Naraku referred to Noli's earlier comment on Lord Kieran. "I have nothing in relation to Lord Kieran besides the fact that he revived me. Now we're both searching for the rest of the Jewel Shards." Naraku would never admit to having someone higher than him. Even if Lord Kieran had brought him back, he wouldn't admit it to someone such as Noli.

Noli chuckled at naraku's response "Aww so he revived you to collect all the jewel shards for him without him having to lift a finger..remind me to thank lord keiran for giving me a chance to remove that head from your shoulders. It must feel really reassureing to know that your the hapless puppet this time eh naraku?"
Noliput his right hand on the broadsword hilt and drew it from its sheath...in the flash of an eye ehe flipped it to its double bladed staff postion and threw it much like sango would throw her hiricotsu

Naraku tensed at Noli's words. So he considered him the puppet, eh? That would all soon change. Before Naraku could say anything, however, he found himself staring at Noli's blade as it flew towards him. Thinking quickly Naraku jumped out of the way, feeling the blade brush the bottom of his baboon pelt as he did. He grunted and landed with soft thud on top of the hut. He did not wish to fight, but if it meant earning some jewel shards then it had to be done.
Naraku glanced at his side to see that his Poison Insects had finally decided to join him. They wouldn't do much good, but at least they were something. He chuckled and jumped, his baboon pelt falling to the ground. Revealing his newly regenerated form. The first thing he could think to do was cover the area with Miasma. In doing so, it would slowly weaken the boy so Naraku could attack.

Noli chuckled..miasma? Thats all naraku could do? Noli pulled a small herb packet from his pouch and swallowed it. The herbs was a potent mix of salts that would dissapate gas poisions if it went into his lungs..but to help prevent that. Noli tied on his demonslayer poision mask.
Noli cought the sword and sheathed it. "Not this time naraku! You might remember from our last fight that you decoverd i can mimic powers? I picked up a few more sence last time." A swirling wind surrounded the blade of his black katana and he grinned [glow=red,2,300]Dance of the dragon![/glow] Noli yelled as he swung his blade and three large wind vortex's flew at naraku

Naraku's miasma was blown away as Noli's copied attack flew at him. He grunted and was thrown back with the force of the wind. Since when had Kagura gone out to fight Noli? Had it happened before he was revived? Naraku caught his footing and balanced himself. He managed a small chuckle. "Well, it seems you have grown stronger, demon slayer. What have you been up to while I was gone? Collecting power just so you could try and beat me?" Naraku's eyes narrowed. Those jewel shards had to be collected somehow.
The thought then struck him. Not only had Noli grown stronger, but Naraku had a few new tricks up his sleeve. Lord Kieran had made his life a whole lot better, Naraku had to admit. He glanced around the destroyed village. It seemed the right place to try out his new techniques.....
((OMG! I'm sooo sorry! School has really kept me busy, hasn't it?))

"There's no try to it naraku..im going to kill you right here right now." Noli rested his sword on his shoulder. "If your lucky ill show you my original power but first let me see if you survive the proudest of my copies." Noli held up his black bladed katana and it turned into a dimond shade and spikes protruded from the blade. "[shadow=red,left,300]AD-AMANT-BARRAGE![/shadow]" Noli yelled as he swung his blade and thousands of adamant spikes flew out at naraku..granted not as many or as large as the ones inuyasha shot out but it did the trick in most situations.

Naraku cursed as Noli launched his second attack. Why couldn't he channel any of his own power? Had Lord Kieran done something to him? Is this why he hadn't been able to attack before? Nothing else could be done, now. It was already too late to try and stop the attack. Naraku grunted and placed a barrier around himself, hoping it would take at least some of the blow. Noli's attack hadn't given off the same amount of youkai energy like Inuyasha's had. It seemed strong, though. Why else would Naraku suddenly fear for his life?
The impact was rough. The large shards hit the barrier, making a large crashing sound. Almost like glass being shattered. A few shards managed to make their way through the barrier. Naraku's eyes held a look of shock as they pierced his chest and stomach. The brute staggered from the impact, nearly falling back as he did so. "Damn you...." He cursed weakly. His vision blurred and began to fade. What was this?
Now it all made sense. He had been warned, and now this was his consequence. His body hadn't fully regenerated. Even at night, he still wasn't in any condition to fight. Now he was weak, and he would need to wait even longer to recover. What a waste of time.
Although the shards had pierced Naraku, the youkai showed no sign of pain. His gaze fell upon Noli and he smirked. "You foolish boy.....Nothing can really kill me.....I've learned everything from my past life....You cannot hope to kill me with attacks I've already faced." Naraku slowly began to dissolve, his body seemingly moving away with the wind. "We will meet again......." The last words were almost a whisper as he dissapeared; leaving only the broken shards of Noli's attack as a reminder of their battle.
((Sorry for ending it so quickly. I really want to start a different thread where they meet up again. I wanted Noli to have at least one win, anyway. ;] Then Naraku will be ready to fight next time they see each other......))
