The not so accidental Discovery (open to all)

The night air felt invigorating on Toko’s flesh as he went dashing through the city streets quite elatedly. The city lights and sounds all seemed to blend together as he rushed onward fueled by adrenaline and divine curiosity of what may lay ahead. The impish little fox had a somewhat miraculous experience at a local shrine not to long ago and he was eager to see if there was more to it then just his overactive imagination. Keen red eyes soon beheld the object of their desire, focused intensely upon the fast approaching shrine.

He skid to a stop just before the doors that led down to the peculiar well inside. They were humble looking doors that didn’t seem extraordinary in any way and yet he was almost afraid to even touch them for fear of what may lay beyond them. His hands moved with slow jerking movements toward the door shaking with a muddled hodgepodge of fear, curiosity, and excitement. Soon he grasped the rough grain of the wood in his hands taking in its texture for a moment and without another thought he threw them open. The darkness of the room beyond comforted him luring him slowly into its confines almost as if it wanted him to come closer. Each step he took, every breath of his lungs, every twitch of his muscles seemed to echo in his ears as he drew closer to the well. He was left breathless by an eviscerating wave of energy, the feel of it rushing over his skin made him feel almost hollow leaving him helpless to its wiles. It wrenched him in to the well almost effortlessly, his hand catching on the edge of the cold stones struggling wildly with one last burst of vigor while his spare hand began setting of burst of electricity which scorched and cut at the stones and wood surrounding him a stray bolt striking the doors to the well leaving them splayed about on the ground before he was finally pulled down into the bottom of the well.

Slowly the haze in his head began to clear and he forced his eyes open finding himself staring into the starry sky above from the pit of the well. The site was quite spectacular, normally the light pollution from the city blocked out all the stars and yet tonight he could see every star in the sky. His breath caught in his throat a second, had he destroyed the building surrounding the well? He cursed under his breath and sprung to his feet before leaping to the top to the well knowing he’d have to make a run for it before someone made a call to the authorities. He looked around calmly for a moment getting ready to find the quickest route home before he cried in confusion “Where did my city go?!” He promptly fell over on his side his eyes glazed over with what one could only describe as complete and utter shock. This was by all means much more then he ever intended to discover.

Ben cracked his neck as he walked in the shrine...kagome was still in school and ben had gotten out on a fake sick note. It had been over three months sence ben had first discovered the fudal era and sence then he had begain exploreing the foregn past lands. Ben adjusted the bow and quiver on his back and the katana strapped on his waist..he promised kaiade that he would see her today about sealing the jewel shard in his bow and that's just what ben planned to do. Kagome would probably come after him later.

Ben opened the rough mahogony door's of the shrine and walked down the three oak steps and his tennis shoes touched the soft ashen dirt before the simple wooden well in the center of the shrine. "Im sure as heck glad that kagome's a friend of mine..otherwise i'd never be able to come here." Ben jumped into the sacred well and soon the purple blue shine of the time rift swallowed him into the past.

In the fudal era the rift released ben into the well..ben flew out of the well by the speed of the rift and he landed hard on his butt outside the well....well not hard considering he landed on somthing squishy and soft that may just be a person

Toko coughed and sputtered as he was hit hard in the back by something big. He shot up fast and spun around to face the man sending him toppling off of him and to the ground in the process. He snarled slightly his eyebrow twitching slightly in frustration “What do you think your doing! Trying to break my back!?!?” The fox cracked his spine letting out a hardy grunt as it snapped back into place before eyeing the boy a little more “Hmmm you’re just a human huh? But you’re the only other one here you must have done this!” He stalked closer to him his fox like elegance showing through his motions “What did you do with my city?” He let his true form shine through, his ears plastered against his head and his tails twitching about with anger and confusion “Are you some kind of kitsune-tsukai?! Come to try and force me to do your biding?!” His hands tensed revealing sharp claws, moonlight gleaming off of them as he continued to lurk closer to the man “Speak are you friend or foe?”

Ben tried to stop..he tried to help it but with such a little fox yelling and sputtering at him..ben burst out laughing. "A kitsu-whata!? Man your a hoot! And if your looking for the city its back through the well if you have the strength to go through it. This is the fudal era no big city's nearby except the village."

Kanrya giggled lightly as she watched from the trees and laughed loudly as the two males landed on each other. She hopped down out of the tree she was in and sped down to the village to alert Kagome, Inuyasha, and the others that new people had come through the well. Her tail twitched happily and she did a few handsprings and continued to run towards the village.

“Are you being wise with me kid!? Don’t scoff at me I am a Gobi no Kitsune; a great, powerful, and awe inspiring fox spirit! There are more legends and stories about my kind then you could ever know!” He grumbled to himself in a somewhat perturbed manner “Hmpf a hoot indeed!” He shifted back to his semi-human form which was just as comfortable to him as his fox state but he assumed slightly more respectable to the foolish little human that seemed to be having a great time mocking him. “There is this better young one? Silence those scornful laughs and perhaps I’ll teach you something, a Kitsune-tsukai is kind of like a sorcerer who uses fox spirits and magic related to them, their little spell books can be very useful to a fox but the sorcerer himself can be quite troublesome. Hmm obviously you’re not one so sorry I was a little well hostile, I suppose . . . its not every day your sucked through a well into . . . wait did you say the feudal era?!”

His ears twitched excitedly as he snatched the boy closer “You don’t have the crazies do you? Ohh this is so amazing! Come we will go to this village and you shall tell me everything you know over a nice cup of sake!” He cast a playful glance at him and said teasingly “Well sake for me and perhaps some apple juice for you? You’ll be able to vouch for me right? I wouldn’t want to be flambéed by an angry mob.” He chuckled slightly looking over his appearance not only was he a demon but his clothing would probably seem very insane to them from the multiple crisscrossing leather belts that wrapped around his chest covering the tough sleeveless leather vest plated in polished black metal armor his waist wrapped in five more punk-ish styled belts leading down to his slightly baggy black pants with white pin strips, his long knee high army style boots caused them to bunch up in an attractive way . . . hmmm come to think of it he’d probably stand out in any crowd. He grinned at the boy once more “Mmm I would change into something more feudal but that’s not really my style ya know? Besides we’ll be fine yes? You can explain everything to them, Besides the faster we get out of here the better I think theres something watching us.” He peered off into the woods before draping his arm over the boy’s shoulders and leading him off into the direction where he smelt a large concentration of people without even waiting for a response.

"Apple juce and sake?!" Ben turned around and loomed over the fox-man. "OK first off stop treating me like a little kid! And secondly you give yourself far to much credit and me far to little. IF you want to see the village and stuff you need to be a little less stiff nosed." Ben sighed and collected himself not wanting to burst out in anger again. "ill vouch for you but you better hope o'l mutface isn't around or your in for some trouble.."

He growled slightly “A dog? What a pain in the ass, oh well fine ki . . . I mean . . .well what was your name again I don’t believe I caught it.” He bowed to him slightly his tails now swaying around in a content manner “I am Toko No Yami the completely not stiff nosed or egotistical Gobi of Tokyo!” He chuckled slightly and grinned at the man in front of him “Forgive my rudeness, but everyone is a kid compared to me I’m ohh lets see 525 years old I believe.” It was true he may only look eighteen but after five hundred and twenty five years of life he had started to see almost everyone as a child compared to him perhaps it was rude or perhaps it was just natural after all hadn’t he earned the right to be a little foolish after all these years?

"Weell he's more of a half dog if you get my meaning. And my name is benjamin." Ben said bowing slightly as well "Protecter of the acient shrine and explorer of the fudal era...your serously 500 years old?!" Ben was shocked...completly shocked. This guy looked no more over 17..ok about 19 but still. "Man..im only 17...Toko No Yami? Can i just call you toko? Its easyer to remember."

He beamed at him and nodded "Of course Toko is what my friends call me!" He scratched himself behind one of his fuzzy little fox ears "A half demon eh? Hmm I've never met one of them before what are they like?" He laughed and said merrily "Come on Ben lets go! Its been so long since I've been to the feudal era! Tell me theres as many hot vixens as I remember!?!?!" He chuckled some more and darted off "Come on Ben times a wasting! You gotta show me around! How does that well thing work any how??"

Ben chuckled..this guy sure was filled with questions. "ok ok one at a time...well a half demon looks like a human with animal like fatures..like dog ears or somtimes even a tail. " Ben almost burst out laughing at his next question "Well i like to stay inside my own speicies so i dont know how to rate a vixen on 'hotness' but i did find a hot spring where the vixen's bathe so if you want an answer to that question you might wana go look yourself when you have the time..oh and the shrine?" Ben looked back at the old well "I dont know how exactly it works but is transports certen pepole back to the fudal era and then back to the present..other than that i dont know how to describe it."

He looked slightly perplexed “So a half demon looks basically like me” he said pointing to his ears and tails “Oh except they are stuck like this aren’t they? Can’t change between the two hmmm how odd, I don’t think I’d like be bound to one form.” His eyes widened glazed over with a slight bit of lust as his next sentence sunk in “A whole hot spring full of vixen! Man you are my new best friend!!!!” He grinned and snickered gleefully his tails flicking and twitching about madly “Ohh man I love the feudal era!” Toko nudged Ben playfully “Oh come on now Vixens too much for ya to handle hee hee aww that’s alright I guess I can understand where you coming from but I have to say some of those human girls are pretty cute.” He nodded slightly as Ben told him he didn’t quite understand how the well worked “I suppose it doesn’t really matter as long as it works right? SO how much longer till we get to this town hmm hmmm hmmm?”

Ben couldent help but laughing with toko "If you think regular human girls are cute you should see kagome she absolutly gorgouse.." Ben sighed as he thought of kagome...but toko's questions snapped him back into reality "uhh the village? Oh its just over this hill." Ben and toko climbed up the rest of the grassy hill and there it was..a rather large village surrounded in watery rice feilds with random dirt paths intersecting the feilds and making it almost look like a quilted blanket.

Brown eyes stared in the direction of the two. Staring at them, examining them. "Foolish. Both demon and humans a like." She whispered to herself. A cold, wet object touched her arm, glancing down for a second, she took in the form of her dearest companion. Her swift canine build, ebony coat and perked ears, so alert and attentive. The girl lifted her hand and placed in onto the canine's head, stroking her lovingly as a the canine lifted one of her large paws and lied it gently onto her lap. The girl's eyes returned to the two men. She had always been curious about that well, though never tried to pass through it herself.

She listened in on their conversation, taking in little details, such as their names, eras, even ages. Such rich details they gave each other so willingly, even though they had just met, and had even gone off on each other. Men were very strange, no matter what species they were. She shook her head. 'Idiots is what they are.' she told herself. She pondered as the human, Ben, spoke about the village. 'So neither are new here, then. If they're heading to Kaede's village.' She chuckled at the demon's 'insult' of sake and apple juice.

She glanced down at her companion, only to see the ground that had once been below her./ She looked up and gave a shocked expression. 'That mutt!' she clenched her hands into fists, gaining some dirt in between her nails. To her dismay, her dearest companion who normally stood by herside before taking any sort of action, had taken this into her own two paws and wandered off to meet these strangers. She growled to herself, 'Damn wolf...'

Kyy, the young, ebony shaded wolf padded along towards the two, giving curious, yet serious looks at them. She knew she was disobeying her master by dong this, but just waiting and watching got very boring after awhile. Sure, it was kind of fun to peer into other's business for awhile but eventually, there came a point that just watching became utterly boring and the little wolf just couldn't take that any longer. She sat in front of them, staring at each of them with this oh so blank stare.

Kanrya wandered through the village and yawned widely so it looked like Inuyasha's gang was on the move and she sighed. Oh well she beat the two here and alerted the villagers plus Kaede. The villagers were capable of handling themselves. She jumped up to the top of the posts in the ground and crouched down her eyes glittering in the night.
