Akito Kitsune, age sixteen, was running through a forest. Why was he running? He was being chased by a mob. Oh yes, this normal everyday occurance was starting to get old for the fox, but hey, who was he to complain? He stumbled over what seemed to be a tree root, and he cursed himself for being born blind. He never had been able to memorize this forest, even though he had lived in it ever since his mother had been murdered. Yes, the fox considered the fatal fire that had taken away his mother to have been arson, not just some accidental thing. He had to deal with this every time he breathed, and it was easy to know why things happened to this fox. The breaking of branches made his ears twitch, and he tensed up. 'Oh, shit!' The mob was quickly approaching. Akito scurried through the forest and picked up speed, dashing madly through the branches that were tearing at his hair and clothes. He stumbled yet again, but this time he couldn't right himself before he fell. He prepared himself for the impact of the ground, but it didn't come....at least for another 20 seconds, that is. He hit the ground with a heavy thud, and all at once he noticed two things. First, that the mob wasn't anywhere near him, and second, that the air was way too pure to be his home. The half-breed picked himself up from the ground and sniffed the air, perking his ears so that he could hear. 'I smell: Trees, dirt, trees, trees, soil, and...a human female. I hear: birds, snapping twigs, heavy breathing, and is that sobbing?' Akito raised an eyebrow and felt the air around him. He discovered a wall and what seemed to be a vine. He slowly pulled himself out of the hole, and cursed as he discovered what exactly he fell into. "A well. Just f-ing great. I fell into a damn well!" How did he find this out? He got a fair amount of splinters as he hauled himself over the side. He griped for a good five minutes as he plucked the splinters from his hands, and then he slowly lowered himself to the ground. 'I am going to assume that this is the same forest I was in before and just start walking.' And he did just that...until he ran into a tree. "Shit, that hurt!!!! Better take it a bit slower...." The blind fox made his way clumsily through the forest, and he stopped as he heard running water. 'Probably a good idea to find that water...' he thought thirstily. He resumed his slow pace...and then he stopped again, tensing as he smelled something slightly familiar. 'Is that...a demon??' He 'looked' around, trying to make it look as if he could see. 'The less my weakness is known, the better.'

Two men sat on a tree branch. Their long legs stretched before them, their arms tucked behind their heads as they gazed up through the branches. The sun landed on their pale faces. Long black and red streaked hair lay about their heads like a dark halo. They wore a plain red kimono with only a tiny silver flower embroidered into the bottom corner. Each set of mis-matched eyes turned to see the matching set of red and blue eyes. They were chatting idly with each other, these twins.
The thing was, they were not twins. This was Hitoshi. He took care of the House while his lord, Sesshomaru, was away. At this time Hitoshi was spying while another one of himself took care of the castle. The oval faces turned back to the mostly hidden sky, their chat finished.
In a second, you might have thought you blinked, one of them disappeared. Hitoshi sat up, a smirk on his face. "I smell new blood. Half breed...." he murmured softly. He jumped down from the tree. There stood a man, a hanyou. Like my lady Hitoshi thought.
"It doesn't work very well." He had managed to stand right behind the fox. "I can still tell. Of course, another demon might be more stupid that I. It is very possible." His voice was deep and husky sounding. It was always so. It seemed to come somewhere deep with in him. A growl of sorts.
In an instant Hitoshi stood in front of the smaller man. He wrapped an arm around the man's waist, the other tipped the fox's chin up. His breath came out easily near the lips of the fox. "How exquisite. You could almost be a woman... You are most possibly the most beautiful man I've ever seen." His voice was filled with awe. The boy was indeed pretty. The kind of person Hitoshi liked to tease.

Akito froze as the demon spoke from right behind him. The fox was freaked, he'd never met another demon, especially a full blooded one. Still, he tried to remain calm as he spoke. "I wasn't really expecting you to be fooled. I never was a good actor." His voice was soft and lilting as he spoke, but it had a masculine edge to it. 'Damn, this demon proboably thinks I'm a god damn girl or something.' Seconds later his assumtion was confirmed. His breath caught in his throat as the male demon wrapped him in one arm and tilted his chin. The fox's heartbeat sped up and he blushed slightly as the man spoke again, his husky voice actually affecting the stunned fox. "Th-thank you." It came out more as a question than a statement. The blind boy was too stunned to move, and this freaked him out. 'What the hell is going on!? This is a f-ing MALE demon that's holding me!' However, he yet again tried to remain calm as he spoke, his soft voice quavering a little. "Might I ask your name?" He paused for a second before quickly introducing himself. "I'm Akito Kitsune."

He chuckled softly. He moved a little. His grip on the fox loosened a little. Akito could now escape if he so desired. Hitoshi's lips crazed the edge of his fox ear. "You look cute when you blush." This was more a statement to himself rather than the little fox in his arms. He was smiling and anyone could hear it in his voice.
"Might I ask your name? ...I'm Akito Kitsune."
"A beautiful name for a beautiful fox." Again he was speaking more to himself. His grip tightened on Akito for a moment, their bodies pressed close together for a mere second before Akito was let go. In an instant Hitoshi was on one knee on the ground. He held the hand of his newest object of affection.
"Akito-sama, forgive me for not introducing myself. I was so completely caught in your lovliness that I lost myself. I am Akigawa Hitoshi, chamberlain of the Inu estates in the western country. I take care of the house while the master and mistress are away." His lips brushed over the back of Akito's hand. "I have also become devoted to you. A slave to you beauty, Akito-sama..." He let go of Akito's hand. As he spoke his tone became lower, slower, and almost helpless sounding. "If it your desire, I will lead you through this forest. Where is it you are headed?" he stood. He voice still held that hint of helplessness, as if it pained him to have no phsyical contact with the young fox. Or, perhaps, that leading him through the forest would be the fox's only interest in him.
