Sesshomaru followed the two, allowing them to walk ahead of him so he could watch the two. He wasn't very wary of Kanrya. She was little threat to him. He just disliked her, and should kill her right now. But he didn't. What power it was, this love. Brigantia had him wrapped around her finger and she had to do nothing but ask for him to do what she wished. Okay, maybe more then just ask for some things. Mostly her demands were simple enough that he found no reason to not obey.
Sesshomaru listened to them talk, rather disinterested in most of it. He stood in the hallway as the room was shown to Kanrya and she spoke of something about seating...or something. He only truly listened when Brigantia came up to him, and spoke so only he could hear.
Her words spoke truth, but he had never lived as such. Keep friends close. He kept them far. Keep enemies closer. He kept them dead. This new way of thinking was just enough to keep him less silently complaining of Kanrya's company. He walked into the room only when Brigantia returned, and sat by his mate at the table, staring at the tea placed in front of him. He wouldn't drink it. He thought to himself. Of course he wouldn't. He didn't know why. Was he so used to not eating anything that he hadn't prepared himself? Or did he not even like tea? He didn't even know anymore.
Sesshomaru distracted himself from tea thoughts when Kanrya spoke. Her words were actually interesting because it had to do with himself as she explained what had happened to Brigantia before she had seen. It was interesting to know that, even though she knew of this 'Lord Keirin', she had yet to know of his hanyou lover. He had thought that such information would spread wildly throughout Japan by now. It was almost funny that it hadn't. Sesshomaru glared at her with her last words. A hot seat? A hot seat?! He wanted to just take this tea and throw it at her. He refrained.
Since, of course, it hadn't worked. "I have no use for someone such as you. I have already explained why." he said through gritted teeth as he decided that he would find out if he did or did not like tea. He brought the cup to his lips and took a sip before placing it down again. Hm, not bad.

She listened. She did that often. She also spoke often, because her love did not enjoy speaking. She did not mind their one sides conversations, he hardly needed to speak anyway. She understood his reactions very well. One might have thought she could read his mind.
Kanrya had an interesting, albeit short, tale to tell. She smiled about the half breed part. Her lips framing her white teeth. The tan girl almost jumped, though, when Sesshomaru spoke. His words held anger. He was upset. She reached out a gentle hand and placed it upon his arm. Her smile brightened slightly. It became 'his' smile for a moment, just long enough for him to see it. Kanrya may never see Brigantia's true smile again. It was something rare all together.
She returned her attention to Kanrya. "My dear... Lady Kanrya..." Brigantia would, perhaps, never stop calling the other girl that. This sort of thing had been forced into her head by the Head (and only maid) at the house. It seemed the maid doubled as a governess of sorts. "Your position is life is hardly something to scoff at. A full demon, despite that fact you are wolf and fox. I am the lowest garbage upon this earth." she paused, choosing her next words carefully, gaging Sesshomaru's reaction. "I am half human. I am a true half-breed. I am frowned upon by almost every demon, I am spat at by every human. The only race I am important to is my own, even then I am frowned at. It is hard... hardly anyone," she glanced at Sesshomaru "seems to understand that it is not we who choose our parents... If it were so, creatures like us would never exist. I know no living creature who enjoys being despised...." she paused. "I am getting off topic, gomen. I tend to ramble, forgive me." Brigantia gave a slight bow of her head.
"Your information about Lord Keiran... A job... These things, they hardly justify attacking my love." She said, almost coldly, then checked herself, she smiled again. "Since I was little, since my change that is, I have held many more memories than any other creature in my clan. Even a true butterfly is bestowed with the knowledge of the journey home, with what happens after they lay their eggs, or how to choose the best one to mate with. These things are passed down for generations of butterflies. It goes from mother to daughter, father to son. But even then we only remember five generation back. I was born different. I was allowed to hold every memory of those in my line, as well as the memories of the bodies my spirit once inhabited. I was given the gift to receive any memory given to me. Also, I must feel every ounce of pain, of good, or of bad that happens with in those memories. I live them, not just see them. It is easier to understand when the memories come from a direct living creature, rather than the earth. The earth sees everything, and so the emotions get jumbled. It is most troublesome to experience an ancient war." She sighed, actually paling at the thought. She shook her head, to clear her mind.
"I do not speak these things just to speak. I explain this to you so that you understand why it is I know the things I know. You name, what you are, I know a few of the things you have done in you past. I would not go thinking about every horrible deed you have committed, I would rather not know." Brigantia said this with a teasing laugh. "I have so much information it is often hard to sort it all out. That is why Sesshomaru-sama felt your information was not needed... I am sure... or he was being arrogant." Brigantia said, a sly grin coming across her face as she began to cut the cake. Only two slices this time. She pushed one foreword, so the girl could eat. The other she left in between her self and Sesshomaru. She knew her mate well enough that he was much too proud to eat human food in front of others. But, she left it there just in case, she could always claim it as hers later, if he decided not to touch it (that is, sneak food from it).
"But, my information, as I have told you, can be muddled, especially if it comes from the earth. I would like to hear what information you have to offer. In exchange, I offer you food, a bath and a nights rest here." She was suddenly frowning. "I can also find your some work if it is satisfactory." Brigantia began to fiddle, nervously, with her fingers. She began to chew on her lower lip, that tell tale sign of nervousness.

Kanrya whined a little fox whine. "Trust me...it wasn't really that much of an attack..." She stated quietly. "If you wanted to see an attack....you should've seen what I did to the wolf elders that let the other cubs torture me..." Kanrya flashed a toothy grin and smirked. 'It was more like a prank...I have to admit that my fox side causes most of the mischeif that I get into." She winced slightly and rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Hehehehe...Anyways..." She tugged on her ear and an earring at the base of her ear twinkled merrily. It was an earring that she had stolen from a noble human earlier that same day.
Kanyra grew serious and frowned slightly as she ate the cake in front of her and popped her knuckles and yawned. "Now onto business...Yes I have done terrible things in my past that I'm not proud of..." She sighed and eyed Brigantia with one eye open and one eye closed. "Now if I tell you everything I know you promise NOT to try to rip my fucking soul out of my body?" She growled and glared at Sesshomaru. " No funny business from him either...Sorry but I grew up without much trust in anyone..." She looked down at her lap and bit her lower lip drawing a little bit of blood. She was feeling guilty about attacking Sesshomaru now.
Kanrya nibbled on the cake again and drank some more tea. "I take food where I can get it but unfortunately it seems that there is a short supply where I go so I must conclude that it's either the warlords at it again or a drought or something to do with both. It has been a while since I've had a decent bath...and a full night's rest...sounds dreamy...But i need to know what type of information as in what's going on in the world that you need to know...and before you judge me i followed that son of a bitch Lord Keiran around for awhile...he's been instigating wars between territories and countries that the humans are in charge of." She sipped at the tea again. Kanrya's ears twitched and she sniffed the air momentarily. She licked her lips and groaned. "Meat...I smell delicious meat...." Her wolf side took over and she stood up. She then shook her head to clear it and sighed. "Sorry during these times when both sides are apparent it's hard to control them both..." She sat down and put her hands in her lap feeling ashamed at her lack of control.

Sesshomaru stayed quiet throughout the conversation. Only listened as Brigantia spoke about half demons and memories. And then him being arrogant. He hadn't been arrogant! Sure, he hadn't known Brigantia knew of the lord, but that hadn't been one of the things Kanrya had said she could do for him. Not until after he had told her no. Why would he say yes to anything she had to offer? He didn't want the jewel shards, didn't want tetsutsaiga, and didn't want Inuyahsa to die by anyone's else's hands. His eyes narrowed and he kept his whole rant to himself, allowing Brigantia to call him arrogant, even though he gave her a quick glare for it.
Sesshomaru didn't truly pay attention when it was Kanrya who was now speaking. Blah blah blah, he didn't care about some wolves she attacked for letting the others pick on her. And then the whole not trusting either of them. He didn't know why she should. He didn't even know why he was here. Why not just allow the two females to talk on their own? Why did he have to be here? He didn't, but he was here anyway and was too stubborn to leave. But to show his unwillingness to be here, he showed that he wasn't paying attention. That he was disinterested. He didn't want Kanrya to work here, and didn't truly care about the information she had threatened him with.
Sesshomaru had missed all the talk about the food and bathing, and only turned his attention back to Kanrya when she suddenly stood talking about meat. UH-huh, very nice. With her apology he tried not to roll his eyes. He would think a full demon would have more control then that. Rediculous. Him being here was rediculous.

Brigantia found herself listening again. Her slim fingers wound around each other as she watched her companion speak. Her face betrayed no emotion, as a good lady was supposed to do. The thing is a good lady would let her husband, or lover in this case, handle such things... that is, if said lover spoke rather than growled at new comers.
When the comment on meat was made Brigantia felt a surge of fear. The animistic look in her guest's eyes caused her hand to jump to Sesshomaru's sleeve. Her fingers curled tightly around the cloth there. Her eyes widened. Only when the fox-wolf sat down and apologized sis her look return to normal. Her fingers did not leave Sesshomaru's sleeve.
She smiled softly at last. "Lord Keiran... I believe he may have been one of the many suitors my father thought acceptable for me. Of course he did not live long enough to introduce them to me." Her grin grew. "I admit, the list meant nothing to me. My only desire was to do as my father directed me to do." she shook her head, a sad look coming across her face for only a moment. "I will not hurt you and I shall try to keep you safe. I can not vouch for my Lord." she said with bell like laughter.
"Anyway, we thank you for your information. Please, come with me, I shall lead you to the baths. My love." She let go of Sesshomaru, kissed his cheek, then stood up. She began out the door, pausing only to make sure Kanrya followed her.

Kanrya rose and shifted into a young adult wolf form and followed after Brigantia and licked and butted Brigantia's hand playfully. She trotted by Brigantia's side occasionaly whiching between her forms. Kanrya groaned in frustration and sighed "These changes get really difficult to manage at this point in the lunar cycle. But thank you from the bottom of my demon heart...If there is anything I may do for you or your lord name it and you will have it." She shifted into a fuzzy fox kit and barked.
