Rp sample: Sahoni Sighed deeply, school was not hard usually. Then again schools usually wasn't in Japanese. Using his unmanicured hands, dirt clearly seen under his nails he brushed his earthy brown hair out of his eyes. "I know I need to go straight home, but I'm stressed, and need a breather." he said aloud to rationalize it to himself. He spotted a temple with a koi pond. The pond glimmered in the setting sun like a plethora of gems. he looked a lot out of place in school and he hated it. Not only was he new, he was American. Of course it didn't help that his uniform hadn't arrived yet so he stuck out like a sore thumb. Regardless the day was over. It'll be better tomorrow he said to himself. Stepping on to the pagoda he sealed his fate. He didn't know his tomorrow was yesterday. A bright light flashed. "What the...?!" his vision faded to black. When he came to he was face down in a river bank. "W-w-where am I?"

The child was lying face-down in the mud of the river’s bank. Still, he didn’t seem quite dead, just unconscious. Live meat wasn’t nearly as good as dead meat, oh, not at all. Live meat was all pulsing and disgusting, tasted too raw. You always knew when meat reached peak flavor, because tasty little maggots would be squirming around in the dead flesh. Eating live flesh was not nearly as appetizing, and there was always the chance of a live creature putting up a fight. So Tsubasa sucked on the old shrew bone he had tucked into his shirt, even though he’d sucked all the marrow from it long ago, and stared at the fallen body, watched it with keen if sunken crimson eyes.
And, quite suddenly, words! Words came from the face-down boy! Tsubasa squawked with surprise, hopping back on his one foot and practically having to stab his walking stick into the ground to regain balance. He almost dropped his little bone, too! After a flustered moment, the partially humanoid crow demon settled again, though the feathers on his wings were ruffled. His meager lips pouted slightly beneath his hooked, beaky nose, and the pale skin on his forehead wrinkled. Quickly, he popped the shrew bone into his mouth, crunching it between his teeth. He hefted the walking stick, wondering whether or not he should bash the boy’s head in and come back in a week or so, when the body would have decayed to a nice-enough point. But he hesitated. What if some other creature came and ate his kill?

Sahoni sputtered and coughed. His eyes focused to reveal a green shore flowers spotted the hills here and there. "Am I dead?" he asked. The last thing I remembered Is....school....No, the park. Then light and... His eyes came upon gigantic crow feet. His eyes grew wide. "What the hell?!?" He said in English. "Wha-wha-what are you?" he asked. He was scared, And it showed. This was his first demon sighting.

The crow demon had still been debating whether or not to strike when the boy stirred some more. Tsubasa cocked his head to one side, a motion that was very birdlike. Eyebrows scrunching down low over his crimson eyes so that lines furrowed deep on the pale skin of his forehead, he leaned forward, inspecting the fallen boy as he came to. The crow demon hobbled a pace forward, supporting half his weight on his crutch while his one foot hopped. Claws dug into the soft, waterlogged ground for support as Tsubasa leaned in, scrutinizing the stirring figure. The boy was young, certainly, and healthy-looking. It was peculiar that such a person would have fainted at all, for he didn’t appear sickly. Perhaps he would not have made a good meal at all, and it was best that Tsubasa hadn’t tried bashing in his head.
When the boy looked up, the crow demon jerked back. Inane babble poured from the boy’s mouth, words that couldn’t possibly be words. Pursing his thin lips, Tsubasa shifted the cane in front of him, so that he leaned over it while he resumed inspection of the child – the boy was, after all, a mere child to the crow demon. Talon-tipped fingers tightened around the smooth wood of the walking stick as the crow demon considered what to do about the strange boy. Curiosity overcame Tsubasa, and he shifted his balance to his one foot. Balancing, talons hooking into the damp, waterlogged earth of the riverbank, he hefted the walking stick, and jabbed it at the boy’s head – just a poke. Then, before the boy could try attacking, Tsubasa hopped backwards, flapping his arm-wings as he put distance between himself and the fallen figure, and landed several feet away, holding the cane close to his narrow chest in a defensive way.

Sahoni blinked in surprise. "What was that?" The boy said in Japanese. His golden yellow eyes surveyed the surrounding area. "P-Please, um sir?" he said unsure how to address the demon, or any demon for that matter. "I-I'm sorry if I startled you. It's my first time seeing a... whatever you are." His facial expression was similar to one of a puppy staring at a bigger dog. "W-w-where am I?"

Tsubasa’s head cocked to the other side as the boy spoke with words. Not just muttered nonsense this time, but actual words. Hopping backwards, swaying, still holding the staff in a defensive position, the crow demon considered the boy’s words. Tsubasa did his best to avoid conversation, he did. It took him a moment to register what the boy was saying, and then asking.
The crow demon, once the words of the boy processed, regarded him with shrewd red eyes. The boy’s face was supplicating, the crow demon thought, not condescending like most faces. Tsubasa considered this for a moment, wondering if this was a sign of weakness. But the crow demon finally, albeit a little reluctantly, let go of any thoughts that remained of killing the boy. Ignorant and stupid as he seemed, he also was in a healthier condition than the emaciated, hungry Tsubasa. While the gaunt crow demon had been in a few scraps, he had been in no condition for a serious fight ever since he’d lost his leg.
The crow demon mulled over the boy’s question for a moment. His sharp, narrow jaw worked for a moment, and he found a splinter of bone stuck between his teeth. He sucked it out and broke it with a sharp crack before, finally, replying to the boy’s question. [black] “You are… here,”[/black] Tsubasa rasped, his voice scraping through the insides of his throat like sandpaper. Where else would the boy be? “By a river” seemed obvious enough. If the boy wanted specific latitude and longitude, well, Tsubasa wasn’t going to be able to tell him.
The crow demon licked his chapped lips, flicking his head to the other side. This boy was a stupid boy, and served him no purpose. The demon should have been looking for flesh that was good and dead for eating. Finally relaxing to set his crutch on the ground, Tsubasa turned stiffly and began to hobble away, wing-arms pulled in close to his body.
