The night had just turned into morning and the light from the morning sun shone through the leaves of the forest brightly. Like every morning, birds were bustling around looking for their morning meals and speaking to each other in their own language. Below the canopy of branches and light green leaves was a man in robes of purple and black. A small ponytail stuck put the back of his head and violet colored eyes gazed around quit aimlessly. Every now and then they would drift back down to his right hand and a nervous gleam could be caught in his eyes.
Once he reached a clearing with a well in the middle of it he stopped right there next to it. He looked down at it with a bit of wonder at how a simple well could take his companions (Kagome and Inuyasha) to a whole different time period. It seemed unbelievable at first, but after knowing Kagome he knew it had to be true. She had all those strange foods and wore those odd clothes all the time. So she had to be from a different time. Not to mention Inuyasha had been there as well.
With so much on his mind, Miroku had to sit down to think about it. So he sat himself quietly on the edge of the well to merely think things over. But, like always, his mind drifted to his own problems. That usually happened when he wasn’t traveling all over the place with the rest of his companions. He always had to worry about figuring out how to find or get a hold of a shard, but when they weren’t doing anything like that it gave him time to think other things over. It seemed to happen mostly when he was alone though. The Wind Tunnel was the first of these worries of course. One day it would suck him into it just like it had done to his father and his father’s father. Personally, Miroku would rather not have to experience that. Then again, the Wind Tunnel was a good excuse to get the ladies. They would have to feel bad for him at least a little bit. Maybe not Sango, but he knew some who did. Well, he didn’t exactly know them.
Miroku then leaned his staff against the well and put his chin in his hands. He was giving himself a major headache with all of this thinking.
