Kouhei gasped and leaned down. He knew what was happening. He had encountered drunk people hundreds of time. He brushed hair away from Tsuyoi's face. "Where do you live? I'll try to help you home." He wasn't a very strong person, but he managed to put one of Tsuyoi's arm over his shoulder and help him stand. "You're going to have to work a bit to walk, or you'll crush me." His voice was soft, quiet and slow. He hadn't realized Tsuyoi was that drunk.

Tsuyoi leaned against him. He could half-way realize that he didn't want to crush the boy. He did his best to support his own weight. Leaning forward a bit he walked awkwardly. "I don't want to go there. Don't take me home." he wasn't sure how to handle going home after being gone the whole day. His father's fake concern, and then having to go through the anger. Acting as if being drunk was the worst crime ever. His father was just a big hypocrite!

Kouhei sighed. Luckily they were near a district he was quite familiar with. Hotels. He lead the young man that way. He could understand the feeling of not wanting to go home. He was sure Tsuyoi's reasons were different than his own. The shame was sicking. He couldn't stand coming home late and lying to his mother about where he was.
They reached the hotel. It was one Kouhei used to visit often. He was given a key with out explanation. He assured the man he would come back and pay in the morning. He was trusted. Kouhei took Tsuyoi to the elevator. From there, the room. Kouhei let him go, to lay on the bed. He carefully placed blankets over the man. He felt a bit like a mother, taking care of her sick son. Once he was satisfied that Tsuyoi would be comfortable until a hang-over came on he leaned down. "Would you like me to stay until you fall asleep?" he inquired softly, his fingers smoothing out the white tendrils of hair. As soon as Tsuyoi fell asleep, he would have to leave.

Tsuyoi wasn't really paying attention to where they were going. As long as he wasn't taken home. He didn't expect an hotel though. Wasn't sure why. He was having a hard time thinking at the moment. Sooner then he realized he was being tucked into a bed, one that wasn't his own, he knew that. He looked up at Kouhei, this sweet boy he wished he didn't care so much about.
Tsuyoi reached out, gripping the closest peice of fabric and tugging on it lightly, just enough so that he felt that the boy couldn't leave without him letting go. "Stay with me...Just stay..." He closed his eyes but forced them open, gripping tighter. No...not yet...if he fell asleep...he was sure that Kouhei would disapear. Not from just here, but from himself as well, if he slept...and he woke up...all this would be for nothing, wouldn't it? Just a dream...

Kouhei smiled sadly. He may have had a lot to drink, but it was not nearly enough for him to forget any of this. He wished it was. And Kouhei never got hang overs, no matter how much he had... but that as beside the point. He would forever remember this night and Tsuyoi would forget it. He knew it in his heart. That was why he couldn't stay. He kneeled near the bed, his gentle fingers continuing to play with his hair. "I will stay," he lied. It wasn't obvious, at least, not to a drunk. He kissed his fingers and placed them against the man's lips.
He began to sing, quietly... softly. It was some lullaby he had heard once in a movie. A pretty little song. The words were in french, so he remember it phonetically. The effect would be the same though. Tsuyoi would fall asleep... and he would go. His free hand took Tsuyoi's fingers from his sleeve. He held it, his fingers tracing strange lines into the palm.

Tsuyoi could feel himself being lulled by the singing. He could feel his sigh tblurring, his mind go foggy. He didn't know this song...and he wasn't sure if Kouhei meant what he said. He didn't know, he didn't really have time to think on it. He stared up at the boy, trying to concentrate.
Concentrate on the white hair, the shape of the face, the way Kouhei's lips moved when he sang. Tsuyoi succumbed to the darkness, a small whisper escaping him through the back recesses of his mind as his eyes closed and he fell into a deep sleep.
"Brigantia..."

Brigantia...
Tears escaped his eyes. Why did this have to hurt so much? It felt like he was ripping out his own heart and stomping on it. But... that name, why did it feel so wonderful, why was he so happy to hear it? His fingers ceased their movements when he was sure that Tsuyoi was asleep. Kouhei brushed his lips against the sleeping male's. "I'm here. I've found you..." his lips murmured before he could even think. He drew back, his brows furrowing. Why was he so elated, hearing that name. It was some girls name that he whispered. A very pretty one. He should be crying even more, absolutely crushed. It was too strange. He set the key to the room on the side table. He wrote a note.
Senpai!
You passed out at the Karaoke shop and I didn't know where you lived. This place has always been really good to me before so they'll take good care of you too! See you later senpai!
Good bye [/b][/u] There were a couple of cheesy little hearts he put on the paper. The only thing that held any truth were the last two words. Kouhei disappeared. He probably wouldn't see Tsuyoi again. That man wouldn't want to. This note would make it easier on him. Why was it he wanted to give this man everything in the world?
Kouhei wandered out into the street. His friends had just started to meet leave. Some were going home, others were finding their way to hotels. Kouhei would take advantage of Hatsuharu's drunkenness... He made his way to a hotel in the opposite direction of the one Tsuyoi was staying at.
It was about one in the morning when he awoke. His body ached. It had been a while since he last did it. Hatsuharu was passed out beside him. Kouhei sighed, wrote one of his cheesy little notes about having to go home earlier. He took a shower and left the room with out a second glance. Kouhei went home, never meeting a soul on the way. At home he fell into his bed. He would tell his mother he stayed at Anja's house and came home because he got sick. Then he wouldn't have to see Tsuyoi the next day.
He passed out, half memories floating about his head like dreams. A history that was his and not his at the same time. He was that girl, Brigantia... that man... he was strangely like Tsuyoi...[/color]

Tsuyoi awoke in the middle of the next day. Head pounding and body aching he opened his eyes and looked around. Where was he? The head ache made it hard for him to think and he slowly at up groaning as he did so. A hotel...he was at a hotel. But what happened? The man sighed, angry to know that his memory was taken away from him. He noticed the note, and read it a few times. Yes, the karaoke...he had not drank that much, had he? If he did, how far did he humiliate himself?
Tsuyoi laid back in the bed, the note in his hand as he thought. He could remember drinking, being angry and uncomfortable. He remembered the way Hatsuharu kept taking Kouhei's attention. He could remember the boy's singing, and the advice he was given. There was more to it, much more, but the more he thought about it the more his head pounded.
After a few more hours Tsuyoi forced himself to leave the hotel and make his way home. His father hadn't noticed he was gone and after taking a few pills he went back to his room to sleep. He wasn't planning on going to school any time soon.

He stayed home sick that day, his mother cooing over him. He felt horrible for having lied to her, but he couldn't tell her the truth. That would hurt her so much. The next day he did go to school. Hatsuharu was one of the first people to great him. Kouhei had learned to act from a very young age. He could feign happiness better than most actors. He laughed and smiled with his friends. He had become a sort of girlfriend to Hatsuharu. The boy didn't want a serious relationship, so they were more like sex friends. Not to mention that, even though he looked like a girl, Kouhei was still a boy. No one might have suspected, but Hatsuharu wanted to be safe. Kouhei didn't mind.
He ate lunch alone on the roof. He did his classes diligently. Day after day. He dreaded Tsuyoi's return. How ever was he going to face him?

Tsuyoi awoke one morning and decided it was time to get back to school. His father did not mind one day of missed school but the skipping was a bit much and now his parents were all over him. Grades, grades, college, college. Yes, yes. He'd rather be at that school, then stay home with them nagging him. If only his father was on his routine business trips it wouldn't be such a big deal. No one would even notice that he hadn't left his room for so many days.
Getting dressed and walking his way to the school he wondered how much of a fool he had made himself at that karaoke place. What kind of rumors were going around about him that he didn't know of? What did Kouhei's friends gossip about with him drinking? What he wondered most was...what did he do in those final moments? Where his memory escaped him.
Tsuyoi searched the halls, looking for some reason he was willing to ask such a question to. Where was Kouhei? Did he get drunk too?

Kouhei walked down the hall with Hatsuharu. His arm was wrapped aournd the petite boys waist. He was giggling at something he was saying. The sweater he wore was some what big and baggy on his slim for. His fingers tips poked out. He had them against his lips in modesty. His skirt was shirt and his socks were high. It was no wonder Hatsuharu wanted him close. When a girl dressed like that they seemed to need protecting from the world around them. Hatsuharu was all too willing to do that.
Kouhei noticed a familiar head among the crowd. He flushed slightly. "Anou... I...I... I have to go." Kouhei ran in the other direction, unwilling to speak to him. He wasn't ready yet!
Hatsuharu saw the reason why his 'girlfriend' ran away. He laughed. "Yo, Tsuyoi!" he grinned, patting the man on the back. "Welcome back. You look worse for wear." He was grinning from ear to ear, like to sociable fool he was.

Tsuyoi paused, seeing Kouhei with Hatsuharu...why were they together? Did something happen while he was gone? Or maybe even at the party that he couldn't remember? He frowned, seeing the boy run off as soon as he saw Tsuyoi. Did he...do something? He must have...he must have humiliated Kouhei, or, or something! Why else would the boy avoid him? He had to remember!
Tsuyoi stared after Kouhei's retreating form, even when he was gone the man continued to stare where he had went. So he didn't pay attention to Hatsuharu, and seemed to be ignoring him until the other man decided to seem extra friendly.
Tsuyoi tried to ignore Hatsuharu's behavior but his eyes narrowed as he looked at the man. Kouhei's 'ideal' And by the looks on how they were acting, it wasn't just an ideal anymore. "Did I do something?" he was sure that the guy knew what he was talking about. Kouhei's behavior toward Tsuyoi was rather obvious. Maybe Hatsuharu remembered the karaoke party. Although, as much as he could remember the boy was pretty drunk himself.

It took Hatsuharu a second to figure out what Tsuyoi was talking about. "Oh, Kouhei." He sighed. "I'm not really sure. She said something about not wanting to embarrass you. I don't think you did anything wrong. You probably barfed all over her pants or something. She's probably thinking you don't want to see her because it would be embarrassing for you, or something along those lines." He stretched. "Classes are gonna start soon, gotta go." He waved and walked down the hall.
Kouhei went through his classes, preparing for English. It was the only class he shared with Tsuyoi. He entered the room and took a seat in the back, half trying to hide behind the text book.

Tsuyoi frowned thoughtfully, staring back at the empty hallway and the space Kouhei used to be. Him? Emberassed? Was that really it? Tsuyoi didn't say anything and didn't even look toward Hatsuharu even as he left. He went on his own way to his own classes. He would wait to talk to Kouhei in English class
Finally it was time for English, Tsuyoi had been getting very impatient. Too many damn classes. He walked hesitantly into the classroom, scanning the desks for a certain boy that occupied it. He saw that certain boy who seemed incredibly interested in his text book. He tried not to think Kouhei was hiding. He didn't like the idea of such avoidance.
Placing his things near his desk, Tsuyoi walked with great purpose to Kouhei's desk, sitting in the one next to him. "What happened at the karaoke party?" The man wasn't the type to beat around the bush. He was blunt, and he wanted answers. There had to be a connection to this avoidance and what happened. He just...couldn't remember.

Kouhei flushed as Tsuyoi sat down next to him. "The party? Well... I sang, we started drinking.... Hatsuharu attacked me, you saved me and held onto me.... You had drunk a lot by then. Umm, two of my friends started making out, then Anja came over and started kissing me. You got angry or sick or something and left. I went after you, you got sick all over my new shoes. I tried to take you home but you didn't want to go, so I took you to a hotel I visited often." His words were fast, as if he were trying to get the story out already. He had played this scene out a hundred times in his head. One where Tsuyoi forgot, and he said what he just had. And the one where he remembered. He knew that it wasn't going to be the second.
