The Beginning of Insanity

[Naraku]

Hiroshi left the wolf and headed towards their cave. He figured the wolf wouldn't heed his warning, but he made it anyways. After that he grew close heading towards the waterfall. He stop outside of it as he closes his eyes.

He really never wanted to be seen in this state let alone by Tempa, one so innocent to seen him in his have crazed state. He slowly moves through the falls, not taking no time to rush in, letting the cold water sooth him.

Once within the cave his glowing eyes seem to paint the opening of the cave red. He did not enter far though as he lean against the wall and took his seat onto the cold damp floor near the falls. He knew if tempa would be awake she would smell him, especially now. the bloodlust of so many had been transpired onto him. It was odd though he could smell it on Koga, and he could smell it within this cave, On Merodi.

Because of that though he would not sleep he would watch over them, and watch them in general to make sure his senses are wrong.

It was an instant realization from the very beginning. From the very moment that her sleep had been restless, unsettling, and when Merodi had awoken, it felt the same as if she had stayed up all night. Exhausted, miserable, and utterly alone. And more then she noticed until she turned her position on the pelt mat, and found the side where Koga slept...was empty. There was nothing but an indentation left by the many nights they had slept in this same mat. She spent slow, agonizing seconds staring at an invisible Koga. She imagined him still sleeping, snoring and tossing into different sleeping positions. His legs would be sprawled out on her side of the bed and the other would be over the edge, uncovered by the blankets. She would laugh, and smile, and wake him up to start there day.

But there was no laughing and smiling, and a happy introduction to this day. There was no Koga. The first time in a long time, Merodi didn't want to leave her bed. She didn't want to move, or start the day, or start any day after. Her songs and now her mate was gone. "Mommy, where's Daddy...?" At first the deer demon didn't respond. Her eyes had not moved from the spot Koga should have been. Instead, two little furred brown feet occupied the spot. Merodi slowly looked up; up the bandaged legs of the small girl, to the fur pelt skirt she wore and the dark teal armor on her chest; to the slightly curly mahogany colored hair placed in front of her shoulder and the small pout that appeared on her face; to the rounded petite face and the dark patches that could only be described as freckles that were splattered across her nose. And that confused and curious mix of emotions that swirled in the bright blue eyes that had Merodi imagining Koga in an instant.

The deer demon breathed, shaked off her reverie and slowly sat up. "I-I don't know Tempa...I'm sure he'll be back soon." Yes, maybe she was overreacting. There were many instances where he left before she awoken. Just to run off and burn some energy. Why she had come to such a devestating conclusion must have been what had happened last night. The dissapearance of her songs. Yes, that must have been it. Merodi got up, and tried to start her day like she normally would. It was getting harder to do the longer she waited for Koga. But she never voiced her concern.

Tempa wasn't at all bothered by the dissapearance, her mind was distracted. She didn't have time to worry, she had to play and eat and play some more. Of course, she was the first to notice Hiroshi entering the cave. "Bushey, Bushey, Daddy's missing!!" she said, running around in circles with her arms extended. Finding this more exciting then worrying.

OOC: I'm sure Hiroshi could get to the cave before morning came but I just wanted to type this out so nyah

[Naraku]

Hiroshi laid in his spot hearing Tempa running and releasing off her energy. He was slightly curious on how none knew why he left, and him being the only one that knew he did, but he said nothing. He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out what looked to be a large bear like toy animal, this time made from rough leather, but coated with a slick outer shell in case she would sleep with it, it be comfortable.

“Here little one, I have you one more gift and this one should last you much longer.” He smiles towards her as his claws slightly strikes against the cave floor to distract himself. He then turns and looks towards Merodi now better able to sense the lust of blood and power in her. But oddly like Koga it was not a normal feeling it was coming from her chest, or possibly back. Which ever way that spot seem to have a great smell of blood moving into it.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Most of the other wolf members did, in fact, know Koga had run off. They didn't know the details, but they knew that it was their job to protect their sister and Tempa. But unsure if they should declare that to Merodi, they kept it to themselves. Not unless their sister asked them. Of course then they would answer, they wouldn't lie to her. She hadn't made it a big deal, so they decided to leave it alone. Then it came to another interesting turn of events. Why was Hiroshi here? They tensed, ready for anything just in case, because when their leader told them to protect their sisters, it would be from anybody, or anything!

Merodi found no problem in the sudden situation. Going so far as to be happy and relieved of his appearance. Hiroshi could keep Tempa entertained so she could be depressed easier without having to put on a fake smile and use up energy she didn't have to play with the little girl. She watched the two, Tempa squealing in delight for another toy and replying to Hiroshi's comment on said toy, "Nuh-uh!" she said, just to argue. Merodi sighed, having her fake smile ready as she went toward them. "What brings you here Hiroshi?"

[Naraku]

He looks up towards Merodi. “From my understand I am charge with making sure you two are safe no matter what befalls on everything else here.” Hiroshi looks down towards Tempa as he thought about his own words. He knew they may of sounded cold, but he wasn’t truly meaning it to be. He swallows closing his eyes as he tries to put out of his mind the smell coming from Merodi. It was a sweet smell, but made him crave blood more. He places his hand up onto Tempa’s head gently petting her. “I am just watching over you two until Koga returns.”

He slowly opens his eyes and watches Tempa with the new toy seeing if she would like it. But knowing if her wolf instincts came out the leather hide within it would produce a great flavor for it when she chews onto it. But he made it Sturdy enough that it will take her awhile to least chew the ears off to go to the rest.

Hiroshi almost laugh to himself as he thought about it, and was odd him thinking all of this through, about where she would start her chewing and what materials to use. He then looks up towards Merodi seeing the old bandana on her arm. “I see someone kept the Bandana from the last one.”

[Lord Sesshomaru]

It was quick for Tempa to try and take Hiroshi's talk of the toy as a child. Now it was her mission to destroy the toy as fast as possible. Instead of going for the ears first, she went for the arm, and chewed insistantly. Blinking, she noticed the yummy taste and found herself wandering away from the two grown ups, intent on gnawing on it until there was nothing left.

That left Merodi with Hiroshi. The deer demon watched her daughter walk away before turning back to Hiroshi. There was so much she wanted to ask. Why was he put in charge of protecting them? Did Koga tell him to? Does he know where Koga went, or when he'd come back?

Before Merodi could ask, she was distracted by Hiroshi's comment. She looked at the bandana, frowning in thought. "Oh well, I thought that Tempa might be able to wear it but she can't yet, she keeps taking it off." she smiled, looking at her daughter who was rolling around the floor with her newest victim. The fake smile faltered, and she looked back at Hiroshi hesitantly. "Do you know...where Koga is?"

[Naraku]

“If he did not tell you, then I would assume I am not to tell you. But no he didn’t tell me where he ran off to and I don’t know any details.” Which was all true but he knew someone came and tried to take the two away before and he knew, so he knew exactly where Koga was. He shakes his head placing both hands onto his head as he could feel his fangs increasing. He let out a gasp before becoming still.

His voice was much darker and more cold tonight then usual and seem to grow darker further on. “Tell me girl!” He almost snapped it out having to pause as it was actually starting to make his mind fuzzy. He finishes talking his voice more calm and relaxed though. “What is within your back producing such a smell.”

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merodi frowned even more, not liking this unknown of Koga's situation. She was starting to panic more. This was bad, this was very bad. She bit her lip, already losing her control. She hated losing things...losing everything. Not all over again. She jumped in alarm at his voice and tone that suddenly broke through her worried thoughts. The other wolf members noticed the change in Hiroshi and all stood to their feet, ready for action and to protect their sister!

Merodi stuttered, looking around and regaining her control as she stared back at Hiroshi. "I-It's a shikon jewel...I-if that's what you're talking about." she wasn't sure it was. She didn't smell anything, and never knew the jewel to have a smell. She was starting to get a bad feeling about Hiroshi. Her instincts were kicking in. Tempa had paused in her play, staring at Hiroshi also and wondering what was going on.

[Naraku]

“Whatever it is Koga has it within his legs, and they begin to reek of blood, as if it was demanding for more.” His voice slightly crack as he begins climbing to his feet and turns away from her. “That accursed smell is driving me to my wits end, but its not only from you. The smell is filling the area, as if this Jewel was actually scattered all around this area, and is beginning to crave for blood.”

All he said would of course sound full of nonsense but all has happen once before near the time Naraku gathered most of the shards. Hiroshi sense of smell towards blood made him sensitive to it and it was making him crave. Here he was suppose to be protecting them, and right now being so close he just might be the one they need protecting from he thought. He slightly shook his head as he thought more. He knew that Merodi be the one if did loose it since she held the jewel.

Without word though he turns back and looks towards Tempa. ‘I will not loose it, I cannot!’ He turns back as he begins to walk towards the exit almost stopping within the water as it crashed upon him, before leaping across. He took a seat outside looking away from the cave as he bite down within his own arm. Not for the blood, but to release the stress and distract the lust with pain. He releases the arm as it begin to bleed slowly, but he remained silent before looking up towards the moon.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merodi frowned, staring at him. All of this was worrying her. She barely cared about the jewel, or whatever he was saying of blood craving...alright, she did care, but it wasn't on her mind right now. She wanted to know where Koga was! She crossed her arms over her chest, looking down at her feet as she tried to contain herself. But suddenly Hiroshi was leaving. She watched him leave as she began to panick. There was no way she could accept him not answering her about Koga.

Merodi followed after him, hurrying out of the waterfall and moving in front of him. "Please, tell me where Koga--" she stopped, eyes wide as she looked down at his arm. "W-what did you do...?"

[Naraku]

Hiroshi quickly found himself stuck being follow by one of the sources. He looks up at her going on about Koga once more. His attention span begins to leave him as the smell distracts him more. He gazes upon her neck just able to see and taste the blood from there before she snaps him from his frenzy pointing out his arm.

He then turns himself away from her. “I am a vampire, one who feeds and nourishes off of blood. It is not just a food source it is our life source. Just the smell of it, can make a weak vampire fall from sanity. Well if they ever was sane. But this smell is so strong to me.”

[Lord Sesshomaru]

"B-but I need answers! I can't do anything of whatever is bothering you. I mean, I can leave, but I can't not without knowing where Koga went off to! Is he even coming back!?" Tears formed in her eyes, hating the thought of him not returning. Of course he'd return!Maybe...hopefully. She was starting to panic more. She would not let up, not leave him alone. Not this time.

[Naraku]

“You seriously worried about him not returning. That nut who almost couldn’t leave to begin with. Of course he would return, I doubt if death would keep if returning here because that seems to be the only thing that goes on in his one tracked mind. And I told you he told me nothing.” He stops for a moment before turning and looking at her. “You wish to know where he went thing back something said or done, that he seem weird all after that.”

He more he went on the more his voice became calm finally regaining his own train of thought back completely. He also stops with that and climbs up to his feet and gaze up to the moon. His pale face lightly reflecting its light.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merodi breathed in deeply, closing her eyes to handle her panic. Koga would be back. Hiroshi said so. Of course he'd be back. He would never... With more deep breathes Merodi had control of herself again. She looked at Hiroshi, not saying anything at first since he seemed occupied with looking at something. But in the silence it seemed she began to panic again. So she worked to distract herself.

"Why do you bring Tempa toys?" A question that had troubled her for a while. But unsure when or how to ask. She might as well be blunt.

[Naraku]

Hiroshi’s eyes seem to wonder at the time being thinking to himself. ‘Here I thought she was the quiet one and she is the only one that that seems to ask questions. Then again I guess that means she is the smart one.’ Of course all of this was normal with him and his people so he seen no harm in explaining.

“Vampires had adapted to their immortal lives, To the point Vampires find their mates at first site, by smell and other means. Then they know instantly when in contact with them, who it is to become their mate.” The full time he spoke of Tempa, his eyes gazes up towards the moon. But finally his crimson eyes move down to look upon her face as he finish.
