"All though I wish to become my normal self when the sun rises.I will promise you that when that comes I am the same as I am now,so no need of fear.' she said with daggered eyes toured the moon.

Oh yeah. That half-demon was still there, wasn’t she? Koga snapped back towards her, his face returning to its normal aggressive, which was a relief, since if she hadn’t spoken he might’ve had time to feel more embarrassed about his screwed up interpretation of Merodi’s remark. Deciding that, since she was putting her weapon away now, she at least wasn’t going to attack them at that moment, the wolf demon slackened his returned aggression, though the fierce look he gave her still said he was keeping an eye on her, just in case.
“Of course there’s no need to fear!” Koga scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “I am, after all, one of the strongest demons in all the lands.” Let’s face it: modesty was not a strong point of this demon’s. Closing his eyes, he grinned, mistaking how he made himself look cocky with that he was making himself look proud and strong.
After all, to Koga, there was no such thing as overdoing it.
“Anyway,” he continued, uncrossing his arms and opening his eyes to stare at the ostensible human, “if you’re not here to cause trouble, what are you doing?” Speaking of which…
“And what were you doing?” he added, briefly glancing at Merodi. It wasn’t like her, no matter whether it was allowed or not, to wander off.

Merodi allowed herself to smile at Sashia for the first time since there meeting. Koga's presence giving her the confidence to do so. The smile never faded as Koga spoke to the hanyou, instead of fading, it seemed to have grown just a bit as Koga acted like, well, Koga. Of course there was no need to fear, for Koga-sama was here! She actually did think that way. In her eyes, he was the strongest demon just as he said. That's what she admired about him. He was strong, but kind...in his own way. She turned her attention to the hanyou when Koga asked his question, but her head turned immediately back to Koga when he asked her the same question. The smile faded, and for a moment she had to think over what he was asking.
"N-nothing...I'm sorry..." she muttered, averting her gaze elsewhere for a while. Though it might have seemed like she was lying, to Merodi it was the exact opposite. This ritual for the full moon had become so normal that to her, it really was nothing. But she knew that he did want to know....she just couldn't find it in herself to tell him. The song to the moon was actually taken from the things shika's feared the most. The wolf. For one night they allow themselves to see past the fangs and gaze at the moon, and sing to it just as the wolves did.
Such a thing was supposed to worship the moon god as the shika's thought the wolves did. They believed it was the moon that gave the wolves there strength to hunt their kind. And again and again she had been forced to sing to the moon in hopes of gaining what the wolves had. Merodi knew it was rediculous, what her family and herd had believed, but it was hard to break such a habit. Including when she loved to sing to the moon.
Merodi didn't want him to know of the shika's ways. It was forbidden to have anyone but a shika to know of it. That, and she was emberassed about the whole ordeal.

Caught off guard, Koga’s gaze inadvertently roved to the moon. Beautiful? Koga didn’t think he’d ever given it much consideration before, except for maybe a glance up at the great silvery orb to think, Oh, that’s pretty. More often, the wolf demon would look at the moon to judge time, and nothing else. But was the moon beautiful? He supposed it did have its own allure; after all, it was an almost perfect jewel of gray, pockmarked though it was with darker splotches that just seemed to accent it, and emitting its own silvery aura. There was so much to consider about it.
“I guess,” he said finally, after what appeared to be a moment of intense thought.
Still, there were more things to consider about the moon than its prettiness. This full, beautiful pearl that shed its gentle light over everything it touched was useful, too. It gave the world a certain depth that was nonexistent in the day, but keen eyes could use these distinctive areas of shadow and light to their bearer’s advantage. In addition, it crippled other creatures, such as humans, who relied solely on their sight to get them from place to place. Did it really matter that it was beautiful, when this was taken into consideration?
Yes, whispered a subtle thought from the back of the wolf demon’s mind, and his eyes subconsciously left the moon and wandered around him; the half-demon’s features seemed darkened by where she stood, facing them so her face was cloaked in shadow. Turning his head slightly, he saw that Merodi’s face caught more of the clean, simplistic light, so that her fur was bathed in silvery light, though her eyes remained dark. Even so, these same dark eyes captured a slight reflection of moon and stars on their cool surfaces, and, interested, Koga found himself trying to catch the deer demon’s eye.
“It’s pretty,” Koga decided at last, averting his gaze from Merodi. Whether he was talking about the allure of the moon or of those deep, dark eyes was a different matter, though if asked the wolf demon would undoubtedly say the moon. He felt a strange tug of his face, to watch the moon through his companion’s eyes. It seemed so different in those coffee-colored depths, so unalike the stark gleam in the deep navy sky. If asked, he might say it looked better suited in her eyes than anywhere else.
Instead, he left his gaze half on the half-demon’s shadowed face, and half on the unfathomable sky.

Turning her gaze directly To Koga and The young happy girl. She still keep thinking about the moon she had been staring at.Once she gaze again at the moon she thought back on her child hood, when she was about 5 or 6.She remembered when she got picked on when the moon was showing. She Remembered when she had gotten beaten while she was defenseless. Those Cowereds. She thought. She clenched her fist remebering the beating so well. She closed her eyes and sat back down and layed on her back, one small tear fell from her eye,as she whipped it away she still lay there sobing silently.

((awww, Koga's so cute. They were meant for each other!))
Merodi had to agree, the moon was beautiful. It was like the second sun, but instead of yellow it still was darker, gave the world a feel that left you awed for at least just a moment. She stared at the moon for, that same awe coming over her. Though she did not believe in ther shika's rituals, she loved to sing to the moon, how the light would shine on her as if she was on a stage. She loved every minute of it. For some reason, she found emberassment in it. Her song to the moon was meant only for the moon, not for other's ears. The moon was her audience, and though her audience had changed from the moon, Ookami, Koga, and back again, it would always be the moon she would sing all her songs to.
Though, this night she had been interrupted.
It didn't matter though, she loved being here, under the moon's gaze with Koga-sama, and this girl. Even though Merodi didnt know her so well, she seemed to be kind. Keeping her dark brown eyes on the moon, she nodded her head to agree with Sashia, though it had seemed she had replied rather slow. She had already heard Koga's answer. He guessed? How could he guess? Ah well, it just seemed the type of answer someone like Koga would give.
Merodi smiled, then frowned when she could feel this small sensation of being stared at. She turned her head just a bit just as Koga turned his head away and spoke again. She blinked, a thoughtful look coming across her face as she looked back up at the moon. Pretty? Yes, the moon was that too...
The scent of tears brought Merodi out of her reverie of the moon. She looked down, surprised to see Sashia laying on the ground, crying. Immediately she found herself worried over the hanyou, taking a step toward her and looking down at her. "Are you okay? What happened? Are you injured?" she had to ask. She was also confused on why she suddenly broke down like that. She must be hurt, or something.
Merodi hoped Sashia was alright....

Sashia relized that She was being asked a question. She whipped her tears and sat up.She nodded and then hugged one knee. She looked at them and smiled, trying to cover up her hurt. "Oh don't mined me,I am crying tears of joy."she said. She didn't want to berden anyone with her past so she made up a white lie.She looked back at the moon and loosened her fists. She looked downat the pink flower she had been holding in her hand.It was crushed and the pettles all lay on the floor. She layed it down by her side in the misty grass as she picked up another flower and put it in her hair.

Koga was a lot of things. He was strong, fleet-footed, clever on the battlefield, had that roguish charm about him (though same may dispute that). But if there was one thing he wasn’t, he wasn’t too bright when it came to emotions, and particularly girls’ emotions. After all, the wolf demon was usually pretty blunt with these things himself.
Can you really blame him for accepting the hanyou’s excuse for her salt-scented tears?
Even as he watched her discard the crushed petals of the flower she had at first been holding, he didn’t take the hint. “Does the moon really make you that happy?” he wondered aloud. Within the confines of his mind, he continued on with Does it make all girls happy enough to cry? How can you be so happy that you cry, anyway? Koga himself had never experienced that; was there some sort of intense joy that one had to achieve to induce their own crying? He’d always assumed that you smiled when you felt cheerful, but perhaps this was just one of the oddities of humans after all.
Deciding that that must be it, and that if this lady was crazy enough to be crying tears of joy then an attempt at hurting them was probably not on her agenda, Koga felt a bit more at ease. He’d gotten it all worked out! Satisfied, he fell back and landed easily on the ground and stared up at the moon. Of course, he was your typical guy; the moon held little charm for him. Contemplating it got boring almost faster than the wolf demon could run.
Losing interest in less than a minute, Koga glanced up at Merodi. “Well, sit down.” The place they had been sleeping earlier was all but forgotten. Sure, the wolf demon still felt a little tired, but now he doubted that he’d be able to return to sleep. Even so, he leaned back against the round, clasping his hands behind his head, and stared up at the undersides of the leaves above him, which dappled the sky just like the stars.
Maybe he should close his eyes. You know, just for a minute…

Merodi knew better. She might have believed such a lie, if the hanyou actually had the look that said 'I'm happy'. But no, it said other things. Maybe different things. Things that much haunt Sashia as Merodi was haunted. Maybe she was thinking of the past, like the young shika usually did. She frowned, staring at the girl as she replaced her flower. She found no use in prying when the girl seemed to really want to have her emotions kept to herself. Letting in a deep breath, she gave the hanyou a reassuring smile. Her smile widened when she could hear Koga's question.
Turning her attention away from the woman, she looked toward Koga who had decided to sit on the ground. Hearing his, slight, command. She nodded her head, walking a few steps to sit beside him, holding herself up by hugging her knees to her chest. She yawned, turning her head slightly to watch Koga lie back. Only now she realized how tired she was. Since she stayed up most of the night to wait for him to sleep, and then go to a good spot so she could see the moon. This was the best spot.
Merodi turned her attention back to the moon, then back to Koga who had his eyes closed. Was he sleeping? Letting out another yawn she also decided to lie back like him. Her body inches from his, but she barely paid attention to how close she was. She was too tired. Though she knew she would never be able to sleep on this certain ground, it wasn't comfortable enough for her. Ah well, it was a nice place to just sit back and relax. Letting out a deep breath, she also closed her eyes.
Maybe Sashia could join them and relax too.

Falling asleep around those who could possibly be enemies was one of the dumbest things anyone could do, but Koga was doing it. He felt himself falling into that contented darkness, that tugging of pillow-like shadows that urged him to sleep, to slip into that comfortable hover between life and death: the inert state. Though he like action (he went out of his way to find it), this demon had to admit that a break every now and again was no bad thing. And it was so terribly tempting, to let himself fall into that darkness, that easy peace that was offered.
Even so, instinct made him reopen his eyes and glance around one last time, reassuring his mind that he was safe even though instinct said he was. Lifting his head slightly, he glanced beside him to see Merodi’s face lying inches away, ostensibly asleep. At least, her eyes were closed. Once he got over the initial surprise of glancing over to see a face suddenly leer out at him, he felt a certain contentment by looking at her calm features. It was the same feeling someone got when they looked at the precious bundle that was a baby, curled up asleep. Even Koga could not resist that type of charm; his eyebrows, usually knotted and angry in appearance, loosened and he smiled slightly.
Raising his head a bit higher, he glanced around to see where the half-demon had ended up. After a moment, he realized that the figure slumped against a tree was, actually, not a boulder, but the hanyou herself. Concentrating for a moment, he realized that he could hear the gentle inhales and exhales that could only come from a sleeping person. Contented that she really meant no harm, seeing as she had been lured into the dark peace of sleep herself, Koga began to lie back and close his eyes again when he realized that the same slumbering breaths were not coming from the demon beside him.
Eyes reopening, he glanced at her again, the only emotion emanating from him now innocent curiosity. Was she just lounging, then? Heck, if anyone should be the one to stay awake, it should be him, and he should be keeping watch over the two females. Bearing this in mind, Koga sat up again.

Merodi was tired, but even as tired as she was she couldn't find sleep on the ground below her. It wasn't as comfortable to her. She was used to soft grass, and this, it was more rough, and she hadn't even wiped away any dead leaves or rocks. So she could only rest, lulled by the deep breathings of Koga and the hanyou. Ah well, if she wasn't so sensitive to where she slept, it would have been lights out as soon as she had laid her head down. She took in deep breaths, allowing herself a time of silence to think. Or a time of silence to do nothing. She liked laying there, listening to Koga's breathing, she liked being so close to him.
Of course, she wouldn't have stated such to herself if she was more awake. Suddenly, Koga's deep breathing had stopped, as he awoken. She decided to continue to rest. She didn't know what he was doing awake, but she wouldn't get too curious about it. She listened intently to his movements, she almost thought he would go back to sleep, when he sat up again, and she could tell that he had no intention of laying back down.
Curious as to what he was doing, she slowly opened her eyes, letting out another deep breath as she stared up at him, her eyes half closed. She was still very tired though. Could he not sleep? He had just before though...
Slowly she brought herself up to a sitting position at his side, keeping her gaze on Koga, she questioned him with her eyes, but didn't say anything. She was too tired, too sleepy to form words. After a moment her eye lids began to feel heavy, and her eyes themselves hurt as the air took away the moisture in them. She yawned, light tears forming before she leaned to the side, putting her weight against Koga, resting her head on his shoulder.
Merodi hoped he didn't mind, truly she did. But at the moment, she didn't care if he got mad at her for it. She was too sleepy to care. Somehow, sitting up and leaning against Koga was more comfortable then the floor itself, and she finally succumbed to slumber. Her breathing evening out and her mind wandering to different things. If she had any of her mind left, she would be shocked that she could sleep this way. Sitting up instead of laying down...and against Koga nonetheless! She was going to hate herself in the morning.

Sashia woke up before them. The morning sun sat down on her glowing face, she could feel her self turning. She didn't want to have them scared so she walked into the forest, feeling herself change the more the sun glistened down onto her face.He back acced for her to stop and rest a little longer, but she had remebered how that young girl was scared even when she was a human, and that demon who would fight her even if she was a human. She looked back, from where she could see them they where still asleep, she looked foreword and walked acrossed the misty grass. Her soaked feet walked as fast as they could, she held her stoach in hurt. She was starving,But knew she wasn't to find a village near by,so she just keep walking as far as she could, but found her-self passed out half way through the forest. She was so tired, and still starving, but couldn't moved, nor did she want to.

He guessed he had been more tired than he thought. The plan, as it had formed in his half-conscious mind, was to stay up and keep watch, like some psychopathic fight-happy guardian angel, over the two females, but Koga had fallen asleep. He must have, because he blinked and suddenly it wasn’t dark anymore, the half-demon was missing from this picture, and he was sitting upright with a terrible back-ache and his cheek against something that was the oddest mixture between something soft and coarse, something like the offspring of grass and feathers.
As usual, Koga had his grand comment about this abrupt change of scenery; “Wha happened?” and a yawn summed it up. Blinking blearily, and automatically lifting a hand that had the usual pins-and-needles prickling feeling to shade his eyes from an unwelcome glare that was a lot harsher than moonlight. Still, this freaky light didn’t help with the fuzzy imaging that this scene offered, and the other hand reached up to give an instinctive rub of the eyes.
As it did so, it brushed lightly against that same material that his cheek was still resting on, and Koga lifted his head, feeling as confused as his stupefied just-woke-up face suggested. Neck creaking slightly, suggesting it had been stuck in the same position for hours, the wolf demon blinked slightly to see an oddly familiar mass of auburn that looked a lot like hair… Was that a head against his shoulder?
A better question, was that Merodi’s head against his shoulder?
…what the heck had happened the night before, anyway? Koga didn’t quite remember… What, did he get drunk or something? Would he remember if he did? He couldn’t quite remember this happening… Strangely, he felt unbothered by Merodi’s sleeping on his shoulder. Perhaps, if he had been a bit more awake, he would have felt something other than that bemused surprise, but for now that was all he could manage.
Should he put his cheek back against her head? The idea seemed rather appealing at the moment; that irritatingly bright sunlight was hurting his eyes, so maybe he should just shield his eyes and fall back asleep…
His face was against Merodi’s head again before a new thought wormed its way into his groggy mind: Hey, that really is sunlight. The night’s over. That should mean something to me, shouldn’t it?
Slowly, Koga raised his head and screwed up his eyes against the brilliance of daylight. He was positive there was something that had bothered him the night before, and it was…
…slipping away…
…No, wait! He remembered! The half-demon would be coming out of its human form in the morning. Well, now, as the situation was. Koga was about to shoot up into a standing position, because now he realized that a missing hanyou might mean something, when he remembered that Merodi was asleep. And on him.
The whole on him thing started to occur to him to be something that required his attention.
“What are you doing?” he shouted suddenly, his voice a lot louder than he had intended. Really, this didn’t seem like a very Merodi thing to do. Not timid, shy Merodi, who was constantly apologizing for nothing. No, she wouldn’t do something like that.
And why the hell hadn’t this occurred to him before? …Well, it wasn’t like Koga had really minded.
