The ground rumbled as a loud boom resounded. Rocks fell down the mountain, mostly tiny ones. The sky was dark and grey, the clouds fat with rain. The air was filled with electrical waves. The air was heavy with it. Movement was slightly slowed with the thickness of the seemingly empty space. Harsh winds began to blow, causing a tiny figure to stumble as she ran through the forests which surrounded the mountain.
Her silver hair was slightly puffy with the currents of positive and negative energies in the air. Her slim body was easily pushed sideways by the wind, her hair being blown into large, compeltely black eyes. The only thing she wore was a light kimono. It blew about her legs, often opening with the force of the playful wind. It had too much energy, but it was careful not to herm her. She was tiny, weak looking. She was nothing special, or, at least looked as if she were of no importance.
She came to stop iat the edge of the forest, where saplings were growing. Rocks and boulders were begining to become covered in moss, or tiny trees and ferns. She came to rest upon one of the moss covered rocks, sitting neatly as she panted. It was hard to breathe in the thick air, and she found herself gasping. She pressed a hand to her mouth as she coughed.
The rain began to fall at the moment. The air lightened, and breathing was easier. Her eyes fluttered as large drops fell upon the lashes. She closed her eyes and lifted her face to the sky. The drops began to bruise her delicate, tan skin. She shivered once, twice, then smiled. She then stood up, holding out a hand as it began to pour. Her body quickly becoming spotted with bruises. She laughed, the shoulders of her kimono falling about her elbows. Her slim shoulders, prominate colar bone, and some of the flesh of her chest were exposed to the rain. Her hair stuck to her cheeks and her neck, weighed down with water.
It hurt. But then, that was the point. That was why she did not take shelter. It had started out as a simple walk. A time to allow her spirit to regain it's footing in another relm. Being amongst the phsycial world for so long caused most of her being, which existed in a completely different relm, to start moving into the physical body it presented to a world where creatures depended completely upon their eyes. The danger of her spirit falling completely into her body was that she would then turn into her true form, a butterfly. SHe would be just another one of those tiny creatures who fluttered about and was ignored.
Yes, it hard all started out as her simple ruotine walk, but it had changed when she felt she could not longer stand anything. She felt sick with herself. She had cursed a person, she had caused her love to become a shell. Though she had brought him back, she still was weighed down with tthat memory. Other thigns she had done in the past... Killing her father, causing the death of so many people.... Things she had unconsiously done... and the memories she held with in her body, many of which were not her own, or her ancestors. Memories the earth gave her. She could barely stand it anymore. So she ran. At first she thought she might be running away, but, now that she thought on it, she was not running away. Running, just running.... it had left her drained, and somehow made her felt better. Like flying. She shook her head, wet hair falling into her eyes as she stared at the ground for a moment.
When she first met him... she remembered asking... "Why is the sky so sad? Why is it crying?" She asked it now, for no reason. FOr she knew the answer. It is because I cry. The sky is merely reflecting my feelings. Of course, it was just a thought.
Suddenly lightening flashed and thunder followed. Another boom resounded, this one closer than last time. She caused her to cry out, she fell to her knees, gasping again. She had a hand pressed to her chest, wet skin meeting wet skin. She looked at her bruised body and sighed, a tiny smile on her lips. He would be upset with her. She had let herself become so harmed. He hated it when she mared her body. She couldn't understand why.
Slowly she stood up, leaving her kimono as it was, soaking and practically falling from her limbs. Her walk was slow and her head began to hurt. She felt cold, then hot, then cold again. Her heart raced slightly, her eyes fluttered, and she fainted, some feet away from the trees. She had almost made it to them, but could nolonger. And so she lay in the rain.

The group had been fine traveling that day. Sesshomaru in the lead, being followed by Brigantia, Rin, Jaken, and Ah-Un. It was just a normal day of traveling. A normal day of walking. But even then Sesshomaru had been rather...wary. He could smell it in the air, the large clouds of moisture. So he knew that they would need to find shelter if those clouds ever decided to let go of their load. He narrowed his eyes at the sky and stated that they would camp here.
Rin was fine. Doing whatever it is she did when they camped. Jaken leaving to collect wood for the fire, Ah-Un taking a spot in the area to rest. And Brigantia...she had left for a walk. He had been fine with that, starting to understand about those times when she needed to be alone. It was just a stroll, just like his own. How odd that they would have something like that in common.
The thunder was first to be heard, the clouds darkening the sky and he stared at those looming dark clouds warily. He had not been able to find better shelter, and had hoped that it would not rain. Thunder and lightning could happen without rain, couldn't it? What with Brigantia being so fragile as she was. He watched the path that Brigantia had taken when she had left. She had heard the thunder hadn't she? Seen the lightning? Then shouldn't she know to return?
But the more he waited, the more he believed that something had happened to her. He didn't go to her, though. This was her alone time. Such thoughts left him when the rain fell. It broke through the canopies small openings and dropped on his shoulder, and his head. Jaken had come back, cursing and chatting away about how the rain would ruin the fire. Of course, Rin didn't seem to mind the rain. It was more of the thunder and lightning that kept her close to Ah-Un, who just shrugged off such weather.
That was that. The rain had solved in his mind on what he should do. He was going to get Brigantia before the rain completely washed her scent away. She could be stuck and he wouldn't leave her there when he could have done something about it. He ignored Jaken's questions on where he was going, and took the path he had watched Brigantia leave.
It took him a while. She had went farther then he had expected, and he quickened his pace the more it rained. His hair was soaked, sticking to his back and his face as he continued, ignoring it. A few more minutes and he had thought he had lost her scent. He hid his panick well, as he looked left and right, taking in the scent of the air and only getting rain.
Damn. Damn, damn, damn.
Sesshomaru chose a path out of mere instinct, his feet squishing under the watered down dirt, left as mud that clinged to his shoes and made him sink an inch into the ground. Finally, he came upon her. He stopped, staring at her fallen form and quickly went to her side, using his only arm to gather her to him. He took in her condition. Her flushed cheeks, and her purple, bruised skin.
Sesshomaru was furious at her. But knew that he couldn't just jump to conclusion. She probably had a good reason for not coming back when the signs were there. He took her back to camp, staying under the canopy to not get anymore drenched then Brigantia and him already were.
Once back at camp, he ignored the questioning stares and told them to pack up. He didn't want to do this, but knew no other way. No other better shelter. Though he hated what he was about to do, he tossed it aside for Brigantia's sake.
Sesshomaru turned and walked the nearest path to the human village he had noticed earlier.

She was having the weirdest dream. She was living in an artic like area. Everything was snow, and her home was mad eof wood. There was a fire, but it was tiny and did very little for her. It caused her to shiver continually. Next to her a tiny raccon like creature sat, drinking tea from a little cup. It stared up at her for a long minute, grinned, then scurried away, taking the warm drink with him. This cuased her to whimper and try to chase after it, out into the cold. Her shivering increased as she got lost in the snow. Suddenly everything back black, then brightened. SHe had been burried beneath snow, but it had all melted away. It was stifling hot. The snow scape had turned into a desert. She grew from cold to hot. Her breath came out in soft pants, her body sweating. She wnated to remove the hot clothes that covered her, but found she could not move. She whimpered again, her breath continually shortening. The racoon was back, this time it had a glass of cool water. She reached out to the racoon, licking her dry lips. It smirked and ran off. SHe wanted to chace it, but stillw as unable to move. Then everything went black for a while.
SHe opened her eyes. She was moving. Not she, someone was carrying her. She tried curling closer to the warmth that was so close to her. Her fingers cltuched what ever wa sholding her. The only thing she could say was "S-s-sesshomaru-sama...." Then she was in her feverish sleep again.
In this dream she was a foolish princess beside a lake. In the lake was a dragon. It told her to anwser some questions. She answered what ever was asked. Simple questions about the earth, they then started to become much more wierd. She didn't know any of the answer. For every question she got wrong the dragon plucked a piece of her clothing away. She was begining to think that was the design of the questions. When she had finally run out of clothes, the price was her body. Prideful, she wasn't about to back down. This question was the hardest.. SHe answered incorrectly. The dragon took the form of Sesshomaru, and he kissed her. She woke up suddenly, once again. Her vision was blurry, she could barely see anything. She felt herself shivering non-stop.

Sesshomaru stared at his path, but every once in a while his golden orbs would take a glance at Brigantia's face. Her cheeks were a bright red, and he could feel her shivering as he held her closer to him. She was really warm. It leaked from her body and left a concerned frown on his face. Was she sick? He knew of sicknesses, having learned a few things of the human body, but Brigantia was a hanyou, so he did not know how it worked.
Of course, he had some actual experiance when Rin had gotten sick when she played in the run that one time. He brought his gaze back to his path. The village was close now. It was small, but was inhabited with a fair amount of humans.
Sesshomaru heard his name from the little butterfly, and tightened his grip on her for a moment in reassurance. The rain still poured, and by that time everyone in the group was drenched. They came to the village, it seemed deserted, but he knew that the villagers would be taking shelter in their homes. He chose the largest hut and pulled back the drape like door.
He was welcomed with screams of fright as an elderly couple cowered in the corner seeing a demon suddenly intrude on their home. He looked down at them, eyes narrowed. "Leave." they did just that. Pushing the other out of the door and running into the rain. He didn't bother to see where they went. Nor did he care.
Sesshomaru entered the hut, taking note of the fire that burned in middle of the room. It seemed that he had intruded when they were cooking themselves some dinner. Rin, and Jaken entered the hut, but Ah-Un could not. The two-headed dragon could not fit in the entrance and so it decided to find its own shelter somewhere else. It didn't matter, the dragon would come back.
Sesshomaru placed Brigantia down on the futon that had been placed conveniantly near the fire. Rin was looking around the hut, finding every small thing intriguing. Jaken was muttering his annoyance about being in a human's home. But it was all ignored. He sat by Brigantia's side and stared at her.
Now what was he to do?

((Gawd... You amde it hard to reply...))
A small laugh escaped her lips. "You are overly dramatic." SHe managed to cough out. "It's not that bad." She sat up, only to clutch her head. It hurt like hell. She closed her eyes and then tried to stand up. She managed to only fall back down. "It's nothing." But she couldn't find the strength to stand up aain. He seemed so worried. Would she always make him worry about her? Why did she have to be so weak. She looked towards him, rubbing her eyes like a small child. "Why is it so cold in here?" she rasped, staring at him with teary eyes.
He must be abosultely freaking out right now. Though his exterior was stoic, she could feel the raging worry with in him. It made her want to laugh, really. He shouldn't be so worried. She layback down, curling into a little ball and shivering. She glanced over her shoulder and Jakken, who seemed extremly upset iwth everything that was happening. She was sure, that if she had not buttered him up so much in the begining, he would be giving her an evil eye, and probably blame her. Well, it wa sher fault. She had stayed in the rain... purposefully. She sighed, closing her eyes and letting a shivery sleep take her.
While in her sleep, a hand rached out and touched Sesshomaru's. Her fingers clasping his, afraid to let go. Her fingers shook too, with each wave that wracked her body. She seemed to sleep peacefully though, a wonderful, dreamless sleep.

Sesshomaru didn't say anything to what Brigantia said. Somehow he knew that she would say something like that. He scoffed. Overly dramatic? He, Sesshomaru? He was not overly dramatic. He was just better off safe then sorry. Better off having her heal here then outside in the rain. This was much better, and the heat was kept inside. Not that bad? Nothing? It was something. It was truly something.
Sesshomaru frowned at her question. Cold? How could she be cold, when she was more then just warm? She had a fever. That was it, right? A fever. So...now what? Soon, she was falling asleep again, her hand grasping his. He frowned, feeling her shake. He gripped her hand tightly for a moment, before pulling away from her grasp.
"Jaken."
"Yes M'lord?"
"Search the hut for more blankets. Jaken quickly went to do as he was told, opening all the shelves in the back of the house. At the fire, there happened to be a pot of rice cooking. Rin was eyeing in hungrily, but would not eat it until Sesshomaru told her to. Must have thought it was rude to eat someone else's food. Ah, well, what did it matter?
Jaken had came back with more blankets in which he dragged them to where Brigantia was. Sesshomaru placed the blankets around Brigantia's shivering, and wet form. He stood then, telling Jaken to watch Brigantia before he left the hut to find some herbs for Brigantia.

She curled up beneath the blankets, the cloth practically over her head. Her heart tugged, and practically broke when he left. Her strength went with him. She would be the weakest creature in the world with out him standing near. Subconsiously her hand drifted to her neck. Her heart became one. This was his promise that he would always return. In her sleep she smiled, and rested peaceful, for a small amount of time.
While Sesshomaru was still away, Brigantia awoke a third time. This time, she merely managed to coughloudly, then smile at a tentative Rin. "Eat. You should. It would be a waste of those poor peoples food. Jakken-senpai would never eat it. I can not, and Sesshomaru-sama never would. Both senpai and my lord are much to pride. But I suppose it is their pride that is attractive." At this point she was delirious with her fever. She sat up, staring around the room with a whimsical eye. "He must have gone out." She shook her head, laying down again. "He is an odd man... Yet I will forever remain his servant." This idea seemed to please her.
She crawled across the blankets, scooped poor Jakken into her arms and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you for everything senpai. If Sesshomaru-sama every caught me doing this I am sure he would have my head." She giggled, setting the green toad back on his feet. She smiled sweetly at him. She would have gone to Rin if she had not been so tired.
She went back and lay down. She curled up beneath the blankets again, and fell asleep. More weird dreams, each getting continually odder as she slept, plagued her fitful sleep.

Jaken hated this. He truly did. Taking shelter in a human hut, what was his master thinking? All just for this hanyou of a butterfly too! It was still too shocking, though he had taken his rant somewhere else instead of infront of his lord where he had been sure to get a whallop for commenting on his choice in woman. She was pretty, in her own way of course, but she was still a hanyou. Sesshomaru spent most of his time with the wench! It was getting really aggrivating, but he didn't have it in himself to show such annoyance to the butterfly.
Jaken sighed, taking Sesshomaru's place on where he sat near the futon. When Brigantia awoke, Jaken had gotten himself into a horrible mood. It even showed in his posture, how he had his arms cross, Jintojo resting between his arm and his shoulder, and his little legs crossed underneath him. To finish off such a look, he had a pout on his face in which had his large bulgy yellow eyes narrowed.
Even so, he watched Brigantia as she spoke to Rin, though he had the nerve to tell the woman to just shut up and get back to sleep and get better so they can get back on their way! She was wasting Sessshomaru-sama's time to find Naraku! Jaken didn't say anything, the more it seemed she was talking to herself. Odd man? Sesshomaru-sama odd? He wasn't odd! Okay....maybe a little. For if his lord wasn't even a bit odd, it seemed that he wouldn't have done some of the things he had done.
The things, in which, the world did not expect someone like Sesshomaru-sama to do. Before another thought crossed his mind Jaken found himself grabbed and held in the air, he squawked in surprise, too much in surprise to say anything as Brigantia kissed his cheek, spoke, and went back to bed. He glared at her.
It wouldn't be her head that Sesshomaru-sama will ask for! It would be his!! And that stupid fool of a girl got her hanyou germs on his face! Add in that she was sick and he found himself wiping at his cheek ferverantly until Sesshomaru returned.
It had been easy enough. He knew the small, little things of herbs that to everyone else was common sense. Well, not actually to everyone else, but it should be. It was a small plant, with tiny little yellow flowers protruding from its stem. He picked it, root and all and took his path back to the village, and the hut that he had taken for himself.
Sesshomaru expected trouble from the villagers once the storm was over. He was pretty sure that those old humans had gone to a nearby hut to tell them their problem. But they wouldn't do anything at this sort of weather, would they? He had other important things to do. Luckily, no humans were at the entrance of the village, waiting for him with scycles in hand, or whatever they would use as weapons. So it was easy enough to get back to the hut that Brigantia was in, and the rest of the group.
Glancing at Jaken, who acted like there was slime covering his cheek (Sesshomaru didn't want to ask) he tossed the plant at the toad who fell backward when it hit his head, and demanded him to smash the flower into paste. And so, he left Jaken going through all the cabinets for a bowl and something to use to smash the poor plant.
Sesshomaru took his rightful place at Brigantia side once again, and had kept one of the flowers from the plant to see if Brigantia could eat this way and it would still have the same affect. Though, he didn't really know. In fact, he didn't even know that she would eat the paste. Such things came when he didn't know much about what he was dealing with.

In her dream she was a young male warrior. She was great and highly reveared. She lead an army whose size was inumerable. And she was handsome. Almost everywoman she came in contact with wanted her heart. But it already belonged to someone. A simple girl back in her home town. They had been friends since they were small. She had promised to marry the young woman when the two were no more than five years of age. This woman was of no real relevance to her dream. It was just kowledge that existed, but never truely came to be part of the man plot.
She stood upon a ledge over looking a town. Here humble people lived, but warriors of an opposing force were camped with in and near by the village. Raising a hand she gave the command to her troops, sendin them forth. Villgares and soilders were killed. No living creature was spared. That was her orders. She would fulfil them.
She also went down with her army. They would win. They would always win, even with out her help. But, it seemed the opposing force had a secret weapon. The Dragon of the South. A man as great as she. The two met in battle, they clashed swords, cutting at each other, slashing and killing anyone who opposed them. In the end He and She killed each other, their swords going through their enemey's stomach. They smiled at each other, as if they possessed some sort of knowledge that no one else knew. They kissed, for the last time, and died there, together, while their war continued.
Things went dark for a while, and unconcious thoughts, formed like a dream ran through ehr head. Mostly questioning the dream itself. It was not completely un heard of for memories suc as this one to occur, where homosexual encouters happened... But each time they made her feel weird. It was not right in their world, though she would always wish for the happiness of those souls.
A new dream betan. This one was a memory of her soul.
Epsilon stood in the center of a village. It appeared she had been found out by the people. "A Demon!" the cried "A demon we must kill hher! Take her wings!" She laughed and began to move forward, but they blocked her way. She shook her head. "Silly humans. Move, or you will die. I would not loose any sleep over killing such worhtless beings as yourself." Still they would not move. The began foreward, ready to attack with their fire and pitchforks. She merely started foreward herself. Her aura thickening and growing, lik a gigantic sheild. It knoecked the humans flying, stealing their lives, souls being abosrbed into her aura. The powers of a goddess.
The dream continued with deaht and destruction. Everything the aftermath of where ever Epsilon had been. Thousands, of years before. Records of these happenings had been destroyed, though stories remained. But stories were stories.
The dreams caused her body to heart up, for her for frown, or occasionally whimper. She would toss and turn, until finally she awoke, panting and sweating, laying on her back, staring at the celing. Her cheeks were flushed, her entire body shivering. She pulled the blankets over her head, curling back into a ball. She was still awake, that much was obvious, but for how long?

Sesshomaru watched Brigantia silently. Behind him, he could hear Jaken's grunts as he put all his might into smashing the plant. All the while, Rin had fallen asleep. And outside he could hear the thunger and the lightning still in the air around them. He could hear the rain as each drop fell on the roof of the hut. It had seemed like forever had passed while Brigantia was asleep. He let out a deep breath. By now, his clothes had been dried by the fire. Though now they were a bit stiff. His hair, though, had not dried just yet. Though it wasn't as wet as it had been. By now his bangs, and the top of his head was dry. All the water was draining to the bottom of his mane.
Finally there seemed to be some movement from Brigantia. Though his hopes died when he realized that she was still asleep. Just having a bad dream. Even so, he did not awaken her. She needed her rest as much as she could get. He wished he could soothe her though. If there was somehow away to comfort her without having to wake her up.
Sesshomaru found himself leaning forward a little in his seat when Brigantia did actually awaken. It must have been a really horrible dream. He watched silently as she curled into a ball and hid under the covers. "Brigantia." he called to her, to get her attention. "Can you take medicine?" it was a simple enough question. Of course, he also wondered if she knew medicine in which she could take that he could get her instead of using what he had used for Rin when she had gotten a cold.
After all, she was still a butterfly, and he knew nothing of their kind.

She peeked out from underneath the blanket with eyes that were so very near tears. She smiled slightly and replied, "Hai Sesshomaru-sama." She sat up, wrapping the blanket about her slim body. Her dark eyes were half lidded as thoughts streamed through her head. Most of them were on the types of medicine she could take. She stared at what was in his hand. Reaching out she plucked it from his fingers, holding to her nose. The mere sent made her brighten slightly. To be amongst her own element, to be with the natural world again. It was a comfort. She noticed Jakken from the corner of her eyes. "Oh, sempai! You don't need to do that! I can't...." she flushed, shrinking back into her blankets. "I can't take it like that.... it would kill me...." She said softly, looking to the side while she still held the flower.
She brought it to her face once again, this time she allowed her tongue to slip out from her mouth. A slim, almost unseen tubular structure made it's way from the very tip of her pink tongue to the inside of the flower. She suddenly became somewhat primitive, her slim fingers wrapping around the stem and flower, her eyes closing as a content, tiny moan escaped her throught. Once she had gotten what she needed and opened her eyes, and began to lick her fingers, the flower falling to her lap. Brignatia licked, mostly around the tips of her fingers, though sometimes her tongue would wander down them.
When she opened her eyes she became the same, shy, yet demure little creature Brigantia usually was. She flushed even deeper, looking away, her hands on her cheeks, as if trying to hide the stupid blush that kept appearing. "G-g-gomen." She finally managed to stutter out, then rememebring she quickly replied, quite wide eyed "Gomen!" she paused, "Thank you... Sempai..." She nodded towards the toad, then she smiled sweetly at Sesshomaru. "Thank you Sesshomaru-sama." She kissed her fingers then pressed them to his lips in that cute, shy manor which she normally did. Then, remembering there were people around she promptly aplogized, hiding her face under blankets.

Sesshomaru watched her silenly, listening to her answer to his question, and took the flower from him. That was good. He had saved the flower just in case she couldn't eat normally. She was more of a butterfly then he had normally thought. The demon lord wasn't surprised when she spoke to Jaken. Though, the little toad had been startled with her sudden yell and had spilled the contents of the medicine. Making Jaken more irritable then he had already been. Ah, well. Sesshomaru took note that she couldn't eat any other way. He would keep that in mind. Brigantia's diet was of nothing but flowers.
Sesshomaru watched her. She was probably guilty for Jaken wasting his time. While the demon lord took pleasure in making the toad suffer. "That is fine." he said. He could see Jaken out of the corner of his eyes, watching the toad grumble and huff as he kicked the bowl aside, leaving the herbal contents on the floor. Oh well, wasn't their house so it didn't matter.
Sesshomaru watched silenly as Brigantia ate. Well, it was odd to count what she did as eating. But it was starting to make sense. But it was starting to make sense. She was a butterfly. He had never studied over butterflies before, though. It should have been obvious, though, that she would eat as butterflies did. The demon lord looked at Brigantia curiously as she blushed and stuttered out an apology.
Was it about her licking her fingers? It didn't really matter, even though when she did such a thing he imagined her licking something else but that didn't matter. Nor would it ever. Such the mind of a male. Though he was a bit amused when she repeated herself, but this time not stuttering. He did his best to hold back the amused smirk that tried to come across his face. Luckily, it did not.
Sesshomaru nodded at her thanks to him, while Jaken let out a small mutter of 'you're welcome' as he started to clean up the spilled herbs. The demon lord was taken by surprise with that cute action she did sometimes. Behind Sesshomaru, Jaken had seen the action and was gaping at the two with wide eyes, dropping the bowl he had picked up in which rolled an arm's length away.
Sesshomaru ignored Jaken, and kept his eyes on Brigantia, a small smile coming across his face as she blushed and hid her face. Cute. He couldn't help but think that everytime she blushed. "Are you feeling better?" he asked her, the smile had disapeared as soon as it had come, and only Jaken was still standing there, gaping a few feet away.

"Are you feeling better?"
She could hear amusement in his voice. She again peeked past the blanket. What she saw made her smile. She giggled slightly. Poor Jaken. She turned her attention to ehr lover. That smile. It was small, but it was her smile. This caused her to blush. She finally answered him, averting her eyes. "Hai... I am feeling a little better." She suddenly darkened. Her mouth made a frown, her large eyes became half lidded. "I dreamed of her... and this village. Thy will become suspicious. Stories still float around. I wish I was not her...." Her lower lip trembled as she shook her head.
She placed a smile on her face. It was the normal one.... the fake one. Not his smile. The smile everyone else got to see. The rain was begining to end. She head it, her antenea twitching beneath the blanket, which had been wrapped around her and atop her head, somewhat like a cloak. She stood, unsteadily, going to the cloth door and looking out. "When the sun shines again... I may go out." She whispered. It was what her father told her when she was small. She would often get small colds because she preffered to hide in the gardens, even when it rained. It was only when she fell in love with Sesshomaru did she begin to take better care of herself. She knew he did not like it when she did such stupid thing.
A soft sigh escaped hr lips. "When the sun shines upon the face of an angel... That is when you will be happy again."
A memory played through her mind. She lay in a bed, coughing and sweating. Her tiny body shudering non-stop. "When may I go back..." She asked her father. He knew she hated being in the house. Her home was out of doors, un-like her human father.
"When the sun shines again you may go out." This made her frown. She did not know that the sun shad been shining those past few days. "When the sun shiens upon the face of an angel, that is when I will be happy again. When this little angel smiles, when this little fairy can sing and dance again, that is when I will be content." He said these things because she thought he was doing those things to spite her... poor child. But her fahter would always love his only child, daughter of the only wife he would ever love,
Brigantia smiled bringing a hand to her lips as a giggle escaped her. She let the curtain fall. A sleeping Rin lay on the wooden floor. Brigantia frowned. SHe took off her blanket and lay it over the child. She then went back to the futon, her dark eyes closed as she sat. "We will be able to continue our journey soon. I heal from these fevers better than when I was younger. It usually took weeks, rather than a day, with medicine. She grinned playfully, then yawned. "When the sun shines again." she whispered.

Sesshomaru glanced in the direction Brigantia had been looking at, curious as to what had made her giggle. And there was Jaken, still gawking. He raised one silver brow in question. Jaken, noticing he was being rude, closed his mouth and turned away to hide his face. Sesshomaru turned his attention back to Brigantia, relieved to hear that she was feeling better. Though he wanted to ask her what had happened, he stopped himself from doing so for the time being.
Sesshomaru frowned in thought as Brigantia continued to speak. A dream? Did she mean a memory? At first he didn't understand who 'her' was. His only guess would have been Epsilon. He said nothing to her words, no comfort that he could give her. The demon lord watched Brigantia as she smiled, the one that just didn't seem to fit her face as much as the smile he was used to. The one just for him. He was hesitant to allow her to leave the futon, but didn't protest either way. He stood from his sitting position. Always keeping his eyes on Brigantia as she went toward the door and peeked out.
Sesshomaru only then seemed to realize that the raining was coming to an end. Less and less drops could be heard on the hut's roof. He was barely paying attention to Brigantia's words. But even so he heard them all the same. He felt pity for the butterfly. The rain making her so sick, damaging her flesh in which it would not damage any other. She was so weak, and yet he knew that was not true. She was more powerful then he had ever realized when they had first met.
Sesshomaru didn't understand her words that came out of her mouth next. Who was she talking to anyway? Him? Ah, well, it didn't matter. Her words seemed to make sense to her, so there was nothing really to trouble over. She could say anything she wanted about an angel and being happy. He didn't say anything. He stayed quiet, and left Brigantia alone to whatever she was doing.
Sesshomaru turned his attention back to Brigantia as she giggled. A look of curiousity came over his face. What was so funny? Was it something she saw outside, or just a thought? And why the heck did it matter!? It didn't. The simplest things seemed to take over his thoughts. Why she frowned, why she was doing this or that. It was so aggrivating sometimes.
Sesshomaru sat back down, watching Brigantia as she placed the blanket on Rin and came back to sit at her futon. Well, it wasn't hers. It was the old human couple. But that didn't matter. He was a taiyokai, he had the power to take whatever he wanted. He listened to Brigantia's words, but it was hard to tell that he was paying attention. He was looking elsewhere, staring at nothing in perticuler.
"Why did you allow yourself to get sick?" he was finally able to ask his question. Nothing was stopping him before, but it seemed a right time instead of asking the question and making it seem that it had come out of nowhere. Sesshomaru wanted to leave. Very soon. He didn't want to have to bother with angry villagers.

His question put her in a temporary shock. His fingers twitched, the corner of her mouth twitched, she began to nibble on her bottom lip. She turned her head away, closing her eyes. Tears fell around her cheeks. "It is becuase of what I am... Lately there have been desires deep with in my heart. Desires for blood, death.... things that are in my real nature." she whispered, bringing a hand to her quivering mouth. She looked up at Sesshomaru with teary eyes. "The New Moon.... I have been able to surpress the urges until now. But... but I am starting to loose my grip on them. I may end up killing many people... Thigns I know I will regret!"
She began to shake. Her fingers seemed unable to stay still. She slowly stood. "I was hoping that I might die. But a piece of me, the peice of me that is my heart. It would not let me. It will always beat for you. I made that promise. And my heart isn't about to let you go." She smiled weakly, tears continueing to spill. She fell forward slightly, clinging to him. Her entire being shaking, shuddering like a leaf in a hurricane wind.
She had forgotten Jakken and Rin were in the room. She was cursed. A being of her personality living with the demon of her true self. He was her life line. He could have no idea how much he helped her from turning into that demon which would kill many.
