She could feel as she started to fall slowly and her knees had hit the bottom of the well. The first thing she heard as not Akiho but the sounds of a bell. She looked up and noticed that the forest was gone. Did they make it. She let go of Akiho and looked to Ken-Ichi and smiled. She reached her hand down to help Akiho up if he needed it. Now they would have to climb their way out of the well. So this was his time huh? She began to wonder if there was a chance that she would be able to go back that is if she wanted to go back. She took in a deep breath. The air here was not as crisp and clean as the air back in her time, it was heavy with dust and pollutants but not too much, she was still able to enjoy it. She looked as Ken-Ichi began to climb out of the well and she started to do the same, gripping vines as she made her way up.
When she was out she realized that the forest was really gone, they were now in a building and she looked down into the well to see if Akiho had made it out yet. She sat on the edge of it now, looking around in amazement. “Wow, so is this your time?” She asked with a voice that was filled with happiness. Wow, so they had made it. She looked at Ken-Ichi and smiled. She placed her bag onto the ground and looked around the small shrine and smiled. She rubbed her hand onto the wall and was filled with amazement.

Akiho landed with a slight thump at the bottom of the well. He looked up, and grinned. The forest was gone! He was back home! Who'd have imagined that a well could take him back? Well, guess it didn't matter now. It was true and he had made it. As Yoko reached out a hand to help him up, he took it, even though he didn't really need any help, but didn't want to seem like he was rude. He waited until Yoko had climbed up first, then began climbing up the well himself.
'Man,' he thought to himself, 'This is the second time I've had to climb up a well in my life. There's really something wrong with that.' he joked to himself as he reached the top. He laughed, Yoko seemed fond of his time, even with all the trash floating about. He stood up from the ledge of the well and walked over to her. He reached for his cell phone and flipped it open.
"Full signal, yup, we're here!" he laughed. He walked out of the shrine where the well was and looked at the house. 'That's that girl's house too..' he told himself. "Hm, you know, I'm pretty sure it is the girl 'cause that's her house." he said as he pointed to it. He looked over at Yoko and laughed lightly.
"Well, I'd better check in with home, I'm sure my families' worried sick about my disappearance." he said as he began to walk forwards, "You comin'?" he asked as he stopped for a minuet and looked back to her. He waited patiently for her answer.

She still looked around amazed. Everything here was so advanced compared to her time. She just looked around some more and opened the door to the shrine. Her head peered out and she took in the sight of everything around her. Her eyes got wide in disbelief. Everything here was so, nice. She took in a deep breath and stepped from the building and looked around. She looked over to Akiho and closed her eyes. She pointed her finger up at the sky as a plane had flown by. “And what is that?” She asked as she opened her eyes and watched as it flew in the sky without anything holding it up. She had seen demons do it but she had never seen a building that could fly. Was that thing even a building? She looked at the huts here, they were so much bigger compared to the ones that she was use to.
She took another step and looked to her right and realized that the tree was still here. Wow, that thing must be ancient. She turned to look at Akiho and smiled. “Hmm, who would have thought it was the same girl?” She continued to walk outside, still fascinated. She was acting like a blind person that had just gotten sight for the first time. She walked over to some flowers that she hadn’t seen before and began to smell them. They smelled great! She went to pick one and got her finger pricked by the rose’s thorns. She jerked back and began to suck on her finger, trying to soothe the stinging. She smiled as she walked back over to him and smiled.
When he spoke again she nodded her head. “Of course I’m coming!” She said as she walked at his side. She looked at Ken-Ichi who looked just about as fascinated as she was. He was just running around all over the place.

It had been such a long time since he'd seen home. He grinned, 'Finally, I'm back where I belong.' he thought. He looked over to Yoko as she asked about the plane. He smiled, "A modern day way of transportation. Heh, it's a plane. It travels from place to play around the planet. Though the air." he said, it would be hard explaining everything to her, but no matter. It was a totally new place to her and she hadn't a clue what any of the modern day things were. He smiled lightly as she answered him. Of course she was coming! after all, he couldn't just leave her here all alone in a, slightly, unfamiliar place. He nodded his head in the direction they had to go and began walking.
"So, whatcha think of my time?" he asked in almost of a whisper. There were quite a few people now, as they were walking down the street, and he didn't want to seem like some weirdo. Though a few people were casting odd looks at Yoko, most likely because of her clothes. He sighed. "When we get to my house, we'll see if we can get you into some more modern clothes, okay? That way they won't think much of you." he said. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

When he began to speak about the plane she nodded her head. “Wow, if you wanted to fly across the sky you would have to find a demon or a roc.” She said as she watched it until it went out of sight. Wow, this place was just so amazing to her but of course this was to be expected after all. She had come from the past and into the future for the first time and everything here was so much different that she just felt so amazed. She watched him as he nodded in the direction that they were to go in and she walked at his side. She realized that once they had left the shrine that the villagers were starting to give her odd looks just like they had when she was in the village back in her time. They would turn to the person that they were walking with and look at her as they began to whisper. She just glared at them and soon they would stop but once they had their backs turned they would start again. She took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled in a sigh.
“Its wonderful Akiho-Kun.” She said as she laughed warmly and was curious to know why he was whispering. Did the people of his time not talk about time travel? They talked about it all the time back in her time. She watched as Ken-Ichi jumped from her shoulders and began to sniff at the plants. He then started to growl at a woman that was wearing a hat. She looked at him and walked over to him and kneeled down beside of him. She picked him up and carried him as she walked back to Akiho and walked by his side once more. When he spoke about the clothes she nodded her head. “I hope that I’m not a nuisance.” She lowered her gaze and then spoke once more. “Akiho-kun, are there demons in your time? Ken-Ichi would never growl at a human.” She said as she held him close to keep him from escaping.

Akiho laughed as she finished speaking, and continued to walk in the direction of his house. He frowned at her next words, "You're not a nuisance, Yoko, it's fine, really." he said as his smile reappeared. She was great company and also his only proof as to where he'd been the past week or so, after all, he didn't expect his family to understand he'd been in the past without proof. Though, even with proof they may think of sending him to get help, which was the last thing he needed.
He looked over at Yoko as she spoke again, mentioning something about if there were any demons in his time. He shrugged. "Well, at first I didn't think such things had ever existed. But, it seems that I'm one, so I guess it is possible.." he said as his voice trailed off. Akiho began to walk towards a medium sized white house. He lifted his hand and pointed towards it. "That's it." he said, simply.

When he frowned she thought that she had offended him some way. She wasn’t able to ask him what was wrong because he started to talk. She nodded her head and smiled. “I’m glad.” She closed her eyes only for a second and then opened them to look down at the ground. Even the ground was different from her time. The grass was shorter near the huts and huge things with people flew by them. She pointed to one of the things with wheels that were on the road and giggled. “That sure is a weird cart. And why aren’t the paths made of dirt?” She squatted down and rubbed it and it was rough on her hands. She stood and looked to him, a curious look on her face.
Ken-Ichi stopped growling when the girl had passed and she looked over to Akiho when he spoke. “I see.” She looked down and walked in the same direction that Akiho and kept up with his pace. When he spoke again she smiled. “Wow, your hut is bigger than any that I have seen before.” She looked in the direction of the medium sized white house and smiled. “Race ya!” She said as she started to run in the direction of his house.

Akiho smiled as she spoked. Then looked at what she was pointing at on the road. 'Ha, guess she wouldn't know what a car is.' he answered her question, "And that, is a car, much like a cart, however runs faster and doesn't require any animals or anything to run it, only gas. Which is like a sort of oil. Hard to explain, sorry." he said with a half smile. "Well, not all cars can travel on dirt roads too well, plus it's awfully bumpy to. So they're paved with cement. It's less rugged, and you can go faster on them." he said, trying to explain it best he could.
Akiho laughed at her comment about his house, "It's really not that big a house, there are plenty bigger. Heh, and if you think the houses are big, wait 'till you see the stores!" she said. When he challenged him to a race to his house, he laughed and took off with her racing for the door. When they'd reached the door, unlocked it with a key he had had in his pocket, opened it and walked in quietly. "Think you could wait here for a minuet? I want to see if they're home first." he asked as he walked in. "Hey mom, sorry for my absence. You here?" he yelled out. No answer. He sighed and turned to Yoko. "Well, it looks like they're out. You can come in now, I'll just have to explain to them later."

When he began to explain to her about the cars and the paved road she nodded her head but her eyes read off to him pure amazement. “Wow…everything is so advanced here.” She looked up and around at the really tall buildings and just laughed. “I am very glad that you allowed me to come with you.” She looked over and realized the girls that were giving her odd looks and then Ken-Ichi began to bristle at them and they continued on their way. “I guess there are a lot of demons in your time. I have seen four so far.” She said as she continued to walk.
When he began to talk about his house she got wide eyes. “There…are bigger?” She asked as she looked at his house and then around them. There were houses that were bigger but she liked his the most. When he ran she was right on his heals, Ken-Ichi on her shoulder clawing her and pleading that she slow down but she didn’t. When they got to the door he had asked her to stay here and she nodded her head. She heard as he called for his mom and as she waited she kicked at the dirt that was under her feet and placed her hands behind her back. When he said that she could come in she bowed to him and walked in.
Right when she walked in she got wide eyes and began to investigate everything with Ken-Ichi at her side. She pointed to the counters and cocked her head to the side and then she went and played with the sink and opened all of the cabinets to close them once again. When she was finished exploring the kitchen she went into a living room and saw the couch. She approached it cautiously, making sure it wouldn’t hurt her and Ken-Ichi did the same. Wow, they must be a sight. When she figured that the couch wasn’t going to hurt her she ran her hand down it. “Wow…this is soft.” She said mostly to herself. She sat down on it and closed her eyes. “This really beats the floor.” She looked in front of her and saw her reflection in a black screen. She got wide eyed once more and began to walk closer to it. She sat in front of the TV and looked at it. She noticed all of the buttons and she had pressed the power one and when it came on she almost flew back. “A-K-I-H-O!!!!” She yelled as she watched it. “There are souls in this box! We have to free them and destroy it before it gets ours!” She said as she ran towards him.

Akiho shrugged, "Heh, I guess so." he said with a smile. He never imagined that there would be so many demons in modern time. It was amazing that they all looked perfectly human though, unlike the demons back in the feudal era. Perhaps their ancestors needed a way to disguise themselves and came up with this solution. No matter though.
As Yoko entered the house and began investigating everything, he laughed, 'Guess I'll have to explain a lot more to her then I thought.' When she entered the living room, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle. It was too much, she was being cautious around the couch. Though after a minuets or so she sat down and seemed to like it. He'd guess to though since they sat on the floor most of the time. When she started on about the TV, he walked over to it and laughed. He knocked on the glass and said, "Heh, this old thing? Naw, it's all just pictures made to move, well, pretty much. No souls here, Yoko." he grinned.

She heard his laugh clearly but she was too busy investigating his time. Boy, she must look like a normal person in a freak show. When he went closer towards the TV she grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back and he started to hit it and she realized that nothing had happened to him. She looked at the TV and then back to him. When he had hit the TV Ken-Ichi growled in warning, even he was cautious about this time though could you really blame them? When he spoke, explaining to her what it was she looked at it and ran her hand over the screen and smiled. “I..I Knew that.” Even though she was lying through her teeth there was no doubt that he already knew that. She stood up and looked around some more. She noticed a window and walked over to it and looked out of it. “Ooo…” She said as she opened it and felt a small gust of wind blow on her and then she closed it back. In her time the windows weren’t covered with glass like these were. She looked around once more and found on a table beside of her a remote. She picked it up and looked at the numbers on it. “Hmm…” She said as she pushed the red button and the TV came on. She handed it to Akiho quickly and backed away. “What is this magic stick that controls the picture box?” She asked as she looked to the remote then to him once more.
She watched everything with caution. She looked out into another room that had some stairs. She cocked her head to the side and while she was waiting for Akiho to explain what that magic stick was she began to walk in that direction. She had never seen stairs before and it was almost overwhelming. “Akiho?” She asked as she turned and looked at him and then turned back to the stairs and looked at them then pointed in their direction. “What are those?” She asked as she approached them and Ken-Ichi had already beaten her to it. She rubbed the banister and looked back to him again. “Are they safe?” She knew that since they were in his house they must be safe, why else would they be there? She looked around once more; growing disinterested with the stairs and returned to the kitchen where she saw some knives on the counter. She walked over to the fridge and glanced up at it.
She grabbed one of the handles and pulled it open and a wave of chilled air hit her almost bare body. She shivered slightly and looked inside. There was food in there and lots of it. She began to snoop in there and found nothing that she was use to eating. She grabbed the gallon of milk and held it up towards a light then looked at Akiho. “What’s this?” She asked as she looked at it once more. She placed it back into the fridge and right when she was doing it she felt a sharp pain in her stomach and it began to growl. Her body froze and her face blushed. “You…you didn’t hear that right?” She asked him as she closed the door to the fridge and opened the freezer. “More food?” She asked herself as she took some of it out to investigate and put it back in.
She walked over to the cupboard once more and opened it and to her surprise it had flat dishes in it. She picked up one of the plates and held it, looking down at it. “What’s this used for?” She asked as she held it up and turned it upside down. “How come it isn’t a bowl?” She asked as she placed it back into the cupboard. She closed the cupboard and looked around some more. She walked over to the sink and began to turn the faucet once more like she had done when she first got there. “Wow!” She said as she ran her hand under the water and it started to get hot and it burnt her hand. “Ouch!” She opened a cupboard under the sink and expected to see a fire but she only saw pipes. “Where is the fire that heats up your water?” She asked as she closed the cupboard once more and looked around once more. She walked over to Akiho and smiled. “I’m sorry if I’m being a nuisance, I just don’t know what all this stuff is.” She said as she placed her hands behind her back, closed her eyes and smiled towards him.
She jumped as she felt Ken-Ichi rub against her leg. She looked down and brought her hands down to her side. She kneeled down and began to pet her ferret friend while she looked up at Akiho. “Oh, I almost forgot. Where are those clothes you said you would let me borrow until we got me some more ‘modern’ clothing?” She stood back up and looked around. She couldn’t find the clothes anywhere, perhaps they were up stairs. She walked towards the stairs once more and looked up at them then back to Akiho. “Are they up this thing?” She began to walk towards him once more. Wow, she really was like a child seeing the world for the first time. It was kinda cute if you asked her. Ken-Ichi began to run up the stairs and Yoko went to go after him but only got to the first step and waited for Akiho. She didn’t know what was up here. It could be something deadly for all she knew. She took a deep breath and looked up the stairs then back to Akiho and went up another one of the stairs and then all of them. When she got there she saw Ken-Ichi laying in what seemed like a hall way and he was laying in the sun which was shining brightly through a window. She walked over to him and grabbed him, picking him up and putting him on her shoulder. “Don’t run off Ken-Ichi.” She turned and looked a photo on the wall. One of the people in the picture was Akiho so she assumed that the rest was his family.

Akiho stood his ground as she tried to pull him away, guess she didn't quite take his word on the TV not being some evil soul sucking demon creature. Though it seemed as he knocked on it it gave her a little more sense of security. He sighed, it was obvious she didn't, but it still made him smile. He looked over as she investigated the remote for the TV, turning it on with the power button and giving confused looks. He laughed at what she had called it. A magic stick? Sounded like something off of a movie. He took the remote as she handed it over to him. "This is what we call a remote control. It's an easier way of turning the TV on and off, including changing the channels and stuff." he began with an almost teacher like voice. After all, he was educating her on his time, and if made him sound a bit funny so he could make it seem less boring. Even if she probably would have still been curious if he hadn't used that voice. He continued with his explanation of the remote, "For example," he began as he sat down on the couch. "It may seem a bit lazy, but still, this is how it works. Say I'm sitting here on the couch and want to watch some TV, however I don't really feel like getting up and walking all the way to the TV to turn it one. I can just grab the remote and point it at the TV while pressing the 'Power' button." he explained while giving her a slight Demonstration by turning the TV on. "I can also turn the channel from here with this if what's on currently doesn't interest me." he said as he pressed the channel up button. "Oh, sorry, it's called a Television, but most people call it a TV for short." he laughed as he nearly forgot to mention that slight detail. "Any questions so far?" he asked her.
Once he finished explaining to Yoko about the TV, she had gone off to investigate the stairs. He laughed, 'I thought they had those! Well, maybe not ones so neat, I guess. And it's possible that she'd never witnessed them before.' He stood up and flipped the TV off using the remote, then set it down gently on the end table next to the couch. He walked over to Yoko and looked up them, then back at her with a grin on his face. 'Time to freak her out for just a second, this should be good.' He placed his hands behind his back, the smirk still of his face, "That there leads to an unknown dimension. Some dark, and evil." he joked, he grabbed her arm to hold her back in case she really freaked out or something and smiled. "I'm only joking! It just leads to another part of the house. They're called stairs, it just gives a second story to the house. What's up there is my bedroom and my parents room, a few other rooms as well." he said. He remembered her question about if they were safe and nodded his head, "Yes, they're perfectly safe." he said with a smile. She seemed to become disinterested in the stairs and walked back into the kitchen. She seemed to really enjoy it there because it was the second time she had gone to investigate it.
As she examined the fridge, he walked over and stood behind her, it was funny how she looked around aimlessly examining every speck of the house like a young child. He watched as she opened the fridge up and the cool burst of air hit them, he noticed that she shivered a bit. 'Oh, I'd almost forgotten about getting her something to wear.' he sighed mentally at his stupidity. He couldn't just let her run around in that outfit here, for all he knew the next time they went outside there could be more then just rude faces. He didn't mind her snooping around, but he did have to keep on his toes to continue answering all of her questions. It wasn't like he didn't want to answer them, it was just hard to think of a way to explain these things to her. He watched as she took out the milk and looked it over. He answered her question, but in his usual voice this time, "It's milk. It comes from cows." he said. "It's just a beverage to drink." he added. He looked at her with a light smile as her stomach growled. "Hungry? I can get you something if you'd like. Though our foods are a bit different, I'm pretty sure you'd like it. " he said. As she opened the freezer she added a remark about there being more food. He laughed, "Yes, now a days its much easier to get food. So we buy a lot from the stores and store it in the fridge and cupboards."
As she walked to the cupboards, he watched, patiently waiting for the question he was sure to follow with something in there. Sure enough, she had asked him about the plates, he walked over to he and spoke. "These are called plats, it's just something easier to eat off of with certain foods." he said simply. He wasn't sure what else to add so he decided that he'd wait for Yoko to ask him something more before speaking about them again. That was, if she had any thing else to say. He turned as she went to the sink yet again, she seemed to like messing with it, but he said nothing. It was fairly amusing to watch her play with it. He saw the steam rising from the water as it got hot, he was about to stop her, however she placed her hands beneath it before he had a chance to say anything. He kept smiling though as she asked her next question. "Well, you see, we don't need a fire to heat up the water. Um, its hard to explain, but to put it simply, the pipes heat up the water. It's a lot safer then having a fire in the house." he gave a half smile, "As I've said before, you're no nuisance. My time is a lot more advanced then yours, I understand that you have a lot of questions. It's no big deal." he said, trying to reassure her.
He looked at her as she questioned him about the clothes. "Oh yeah, I was going to say something about that a bit ago, but forgot." he laughed at himself, but inside he felt like a fool for forgetting twice. He almost didn't realize she was heading towards the stairs, however a light gust of wind passed him as she went by. He stood there, looking stupid for a second before following her. He watched as she cautiously approached the stairs, she still didn't trust them. Perhaps it was because of the joke he had made. Oh well, what was done was done. Akiho nodded his head to Yoko at her question, but she didn't go up them until Ken-Ichi ran up the stairs, Akiho was close behind as Yoko ran after her little ferret. He laughed as he seen Ken-Ichi basking in the sunlight from the window in the hall. He watched as Yoko disciplined him and placed him on her shoulder. Akiho told Yoko to follow him as they went into a spare room. He opened a closet and pointed to it. "You can choose from anything it there, it's not much of a choice, but it's the only spare stuff we have." he said. All of a sudden he heard a knock at the door. He looked over at the door, then to Yoko. "I'll be right back, okay?" he said as he darted down the of stairs to the door. "Hang on!" he yelled out as he approached the door. He opened the door at saw Benjamin, one of his school classmates. "Uh, hey." was all he could think to say.

Her sky blue eyes watched him curiously as he stood his ground and she didn’t really succeed in pulling him away from the TV and she was still worried that it would still suck out his soul but when he knocked on it she sighed and closed her eyes. She opened them again when he laughed when she had handed him the ’magic stick’ and he took it from her, explaining exactly what it did. She listened, never missing a word that came from his moving lips and she nodded her head. “A remote?” She asked as she looked at it in his hands and cocked her head to the side like a curious puppy. When he began to explain further of what it did she nodded her head and watched him sit on the couch. “Hmmm…” She said as she watched him turn on the TV with the remote. “That is a bit lazy.” After her words she giggled lightly and closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath then exhaling slowly. When all of her air was out she opened her eyes and listened to him as he spoke about the real name of the TV. “Tele…vision?” She asked as she looked over towards it and when he asked if she had any more questioned about her head moved to and fro in a horizontal manner. “Not so far.” She said with that warm smile once more.
There were stairs in her time, she had just never seen them because most of them were graced on a lord’s castle and she had never been to one. She looked at the stairs and then back to Akiho and when he spoke about the dark and evil dimension her eyes got wide and she turned to him and looked at him worriedly. “What?!” She asked as she felt the warmth of his hand upon her arm. “You shouldn’t do that to me!” She said as she smiled to him and listened to him tell her what was at the top of the stairs she nodded her head. “Speaking of your parents, were are they?” She asked as she stepped away from the stairs. When he spoke about the stairs being safe she narrowed her eyes. “Are you sure?” After his little joke about them leading to a dark and evil dimension she didn’t want anything more to do with them and so she headed off into the kitchen once more.
She heard him walk behind her and she paid him no attention right now. She had to admit to herself that she was like a child right now, having to have everything explained to her and she actually didn’t like it. If only she had been born in this time but she was pretty sure that when he first arrived in her time he had as many questions about there as she does here. When he spoke to her about the milk she moved it back and forth, hearing the liquid move. “From a cow? How do they get it out? I thought cows were only for eating.” She placed it back in the fridge and listened as he told her that it was a drink. “Why would you drink something that comes from an animal?” She asked him as he asked her if she was hungry. She still couldn’t help but to blush, it was embarrassing. “Actually…” She said as she grabbed her stomach. “I haven’t eaten for two days.” She said as she listened to him say he would get her something. She nodded her head and smiled. “That would be nice but we can wait until later.” She said with a smile though her stomach wanted food now but she wanted to continue exploring. She listened to him explain about the stores and she nodded her head. “Wow, in my time you have to find your own food…well I did anyways.” She laughed afterwards and smiled towards him.
As she investigated the plates he explained to her what they were. “I see, so it’s a plate?” She asked, making sure she was saying it right. She smiled towards him as she walked over to the sink. That thing just fascinated her. In her time you had to go to a river or a well to get your own water and then you were limited to how much you got. She smiled towards him as she looked over and saw some paper towels. Of course, she thought that they were towels on a roll. She grabbed it and took one from it and wrapped her hand in it and listened to him explain though it was hard for him to explain the fire. She looked down at the sink again and smiled. “Such a nifty thing.” She laughed about it afterwards and listened to him say that she wasn’t a nuisance. “Your right, your time is so advanced compared to mine.” Her eyes looked to him then covered with her eye lids. “I seem to have a lot of questions. I’m just curious is all.” She said with a laugh as she opened her eyes and smiled towards him once more.
He had answered her question about the clothes and she smiled. “It’s fine.” She walked towards the stairs and ran up them, Akio right behind her as she went after Ken-Ichi. She followed him as he took her into a spare room and she watched as he opened a closet and pointed to it. “Thank you Akiho-kun.” She said as she as she bowed and he told her he would be right back. She used this time to change. She slipped out of her skirt and belly shirt and put on a shirt that was black with long sleeves and she was trying to put on the pants but couldn’t quite figure out the button. There were so many of them so she looked further and couldn’t find anything that she liked so she would have to go with the black pants. She was trying to put them on but she had fallen over on her butt and made a pretty loud crash. When she finally got them on she waited upstairs for Akiho to return. She got impatient and curious and tiptoed out of the room and looked down the stairs where she saw Akiho and some unknown man. Once she figured that out she quickly went back to the spare room and looked around and saw a bed. She ran her hand over it and realized how soft it was and lay down on it. “Oh my Ken-Ichi, this is so soft compared to the ground.” She rests her hands behind her head and Ken-Ichi was curled on her stomach as she patiently waited for Akiho to return.
