Bloodwash [Merodi/Kimi/Kenta]

Merodi stared at the stranger, her anger lost for the moment. She seemed to ignore Koga, even though he was the one she had came here for. She frowned, eyes widening as she took in the information given to her through the strange hanyou. She took a step back, memories of what had happened a month ago, and even more recent, formed in her head and she was suddenly very afraid.

"C-Crom?! Did he send you?! B-but I haven't sang since...I didn't..." she took another step back, holding onto her stomach as she remembered how afraid she had been the first time, but even more so the second time since she had another life to take care of. "I swear I haven't!" The deer demon felt tears form in her eyes. Would that warrior come? Was this all to make sure she was doing as she had been told?

Merodi turned herself away from the strange hanyou, gripping onto Koga tightly and closing her eyes. She was shaking. It was hard to tell if it was from fear or the cold rain that washed over them.

Kimi walked over towards the hanyou, pulling her sword out of its sheet. "If you want to get out of here without getting hurt I suggest you leave, now" she said sternly. First rain in a while and she wasnt getting to enjoy it, at least it gave her an upper hand if there was to be a battle.

Koga immediately noticed the difference in Merodi as her face twisted, contorting even as he watched. Her eyes bulged from their sockets, and he could hear the fear in her voice. Suddenly, she was clinging to him, trembling against his skin. Was it just the rain, or had the deer demon suddenly gone cold? Koga was shocked by the sudden transformation, and he gripped her closer, holding onto the back of her head. He didn’t understand! And slowly, his shock and confusion burned away in an anger that could become fierce enough to evaporate even this chill spring rain.

His head snapped around to see Kimi getting ready to carry out her duty of escorting the hanyou off their land. [brown]“Wait, Kimi!”[/brown] he commanded. Carefully, he extracted himself from Merodi’s hold, and the moment he was free from her embrace, he had shoved his body between those of Kimi and the other half-demon. If he could, Koga would grab the male by the shoulders and shove him down into the mud. Koga aimed to do so, but if he failed at grabbing the half-demon and pinning him down, Koga would continue to pursue the half-demon, getting as close into his face as he possibly could. Still, if his first maneuver worked, Koga would have the half-demon shoved down into the mud, and the full demon would be shouting right into his face.

[brown]“What the hell is going on?!”[/brown] he bellowed. [brown] “You’re really pissing me off, kid.” [/brown] Suddenly, his voice dropped dangerously low, because he was struggling to resist the urge to snap the half-demon’s neck right on the spot. [brown]“Explain to me why my mate suddenly got scared. Tell me what’s going on, or I’ll kill you!” [/brown] It was not an empty threat.

Kenta ignored Koga and turned to Merodi. "It's okay. I was only asking if that was who you were. I'm training under Crom, so I can fight better." He glared at Kimi for a moment then turned to Koga. "The reason she's frightend is because My master, Crom, can scare people quite easily, I'm afraid." Kenta shudderd. "Belive me." He looke dover at Merodi and went back to explianing. "This deer demon was singing, and Crom told me that his men had began acting strange when she was singing near our new home. I wanted to meet her, but I was too busy with my work to get away." He bowed his head to Merodi. "I'm sorry I frightend you, I didn't know you would react like that." He said.

Merodi didn't know what to make of the stranger and his explanation. She brought a hand to her arm. She could remember the pain, and the bone and the blood. She could remember coming home in such a state. She frowned, lowering her head. Just because Crom was scary? No, there was more to it then that to make her afraid.

"Crom is the one who attacked me and Ryuukotsusei. If it wasn't for the dragon lord, I would be dead...because of my singing. I-I didn't know it hurt people, it shouldn't hurt people!" she choked on her words for a moment, speaking of the incident made tears form in her eyes.

Merodi's word were some what sad. How could she know that her singing could hurt some one. It just doesnt make any sense, how could a song hurt someone.Kimi thought to herself as she looked at Merodi crying Well she is a demon, her song could have different effects on differnt people, I gues... She placed her sword back into it's sheet and walked to Merodi, hoping that she could say somthing to cheer her up. She opened her mouth about to say something but nothing came out. Instead she just closed her mouth and looked the other way asking the wolf hanyou "Whats your name and" she began "What do you mean by acting strange?"

"Crom said that they would lose they're minds, and follow the voice, and only fall off a cliff or somethign they're death. I foudn that rather har dto belive... but Crom isn't one to lie or jest about such things. Crom's tribe is a small one now. He wouldn't want em to sya such things... but it's true. His' is a dieing race. so losing soilders, no matte rhow small cna affect his actions greatly. Some time to a point where they are abit unwise." He looked to Merodi again. "I'm sorry Corm had harmed you, belive me, he was only trying to protect his pack, no matter how small the danger was. Your mate here would and does the same, to protect you and your unborn family."

Koga listened with uncharacteristic intensity as the half-demon explained. Things started to fall into place in his mind, and the wolf demon felt he was finally beginning to understand what was going on around him. But instead of feeling relieved by it, he only felt his anger growing. How much had been going on behind his back? How much could happen to his family without him discovering later, from this puny, insignificant half-demon? And then his anger lessened, and Koga, who had been grabbing onto the half-demon’s shoulders, loosened his grip and stepped back, only to stare at the intruder with a look of incredulity.

Finally, his mouth, which had been working furiously, finally formed words. [brown]“That doesn’t change the fact that he hurt Merodi. He hurt her! And she—“[/brown] He jammed a finger in his mate’s direction. [brown]“—she wouldn’t hurt anybody!”[/brown] His anger was growing again as he said the words, forming a hard pit in the center of his stomach. He could feel it sitting there, burning like a heavy lump of coal. He could understand this… this Crom’s motives, since they were the same as his own. [brown]But I won’t stand aside and let my own family get hurt for the sake of somebody else’s,[/brown] he decided, and that heavy lump of anger was justified.

Koga dropped his hand and stared down at the half-demon, his brow knotting above his pale eyes. [brown]“Go home,”[/brown] he told him. He decided what he was going to say a split second before he said it. [brown]“This isn’t your land, so go where you belong. But tell this Crom—“[/brown] Here, Koga leaned forward, to growl menacingly into the half-demon male’s ear. [brown]“—that if he ever interferes with my family, or sets foot on my land, ever, in all his miserable life, I will kill him and all his people.”[/brown] Straightening, he crossed his arms over his chest.

[brown]“He will not give orders to my wolves or my mate,”[/brown] Koga told the half-demon. [brown]“If Merodi wants to sing, then she can! If Crom has a problem with it, tell him he can face Koga of the wolf tribe in battle.”[/brown] Nodding to Kimi, telling her to resume her duty of taking the intruder off their land, Koga whipped around and stalked back to his deer demon mate. His hand found hers, and he turned to face the two half-demons, to make sure his orders were carried out.

Merodi listened to the conversation, worried over how this would go. She bit her lip, holding her stomach as if to gaurd her child from such a serious topic. She didn't like how this might turn out. What if Crom decided to battle it out with Koga? Her mate was strong, but that warrior....

Merodi was quiet as he took her hand. The other hand was placed on her bloated stomach and she leaned against him. She watched the two hanyous for a moment before looking up at him. "Koga...you can't battle with Crom, it's fine that I can't sing...I-I'll be fine with not singing..."

[Rin]

Kenta sighed at Koga's words. "I'm not tellign Crom anything. If your mate wishes to sing, she may, but only if she cna atleast try to do ti softly, and not near the fog... I'll take responsibillty for it if Crom finds otu form this point onwards that she's singing again..." He bowed. "Good bye." He didn't even let Kimi follow him, he just began wlaking, not caring if that othe rwolf hanyou followed.

Kimi nodded back to Koga to show that she knew what he mena. Once again, she walked towards the tresspasser knowing that Koga wasnt going to stop her like before, the only one that would do that though would be Merodi. She grabed hold of her swords handle, not pulling it out just yet. "Last chance. You can leave or you're going to regret this, badly" she said angirly. Still she wanted to enjoy the rain but now she was stuck taking some kid off their terrorry

Kenta glared at her. "Why dont' you jsut go and enjoy yourself? I'm leaving soon anyways. I just have one more spot to make." He commented and broke into a run, speeding into the forest.

[Aiko]

Koga’s lips lifted in the suggestion of a snarl as the half-demon boy walked away, Kimi going after him threateningly. He couldn’t believe he was letting that hanyou get away with such insolence! [brown]“He’ll take responsibility… feh! Little liar,”[/brown] Koga snorted after his retreating form. Now he almost wanted to fight this Crom character, and his little half-demon minion, too. No, not almost… he really did want to fight them, wanted to wring their sorry necks for trying to make a fool out of him! He, who could slay a great oni completely on his own… he, who possessed two shards of the sacred jewel! No one got the better of Koga.

He was surprised, then, by his mate’s words, and he turned to stare down at her. He looked deep into her dark eyes, searching, and thought that she looked afraid for him. Koga squeezed his mate’s hand comfortingly. [brown]“If I need to fight, I will,”[/brown] he said simply to her, letting her lean against him. Trying to reassure her, he then took her by the shoulders and swung around to face her, still staring into her chocolate-colored eyes. He looked at her for a moment, blinking rainwater out of his lashes, and finally said, [brown]“No matter how strong my enemy is, I will make myself stronger. I’ll be as strong as you need me to be.”[/brown] At that, he placed one hand on the back of her head and pulled her into his chest, sheltering her from the rain with his body.

[brown]“You heard what that half-demon said about singing,”[/brown] he continued, trying to reassure her. Her hope was more important than any quarrel he had with the hanyou. [brown]“So long as this Crom can’t hear you, you’ll be fine. And if he does hear you—“[/brown] Koga hesitated, and moved his eyes, which had been resting on the part in Merodi’s head, skyward, ignoring the water that streamed into them. [brown]“Well, you heard what I said before. I’ll fight him if he tries to challenge my family. I’ll fight him, and I’ll win. I swear by all the strength in my two legs I’ll win.”[/brown] He brought his face back down and pressed his lips against the top of Merodi’s auburn hair.

Merodi felt a little better after she listened to Koga. It didn't reassure her that he would win against someone like Crom, but it still made her a bit happier. At least he wasn't rushing into it. She wouldn't like that. She hugged him, holding onto him tightly and was glad to have him so close to her.

The deer suddenly stiffened and she slowly pulled away from Koga. An odd feeling washed over her. She stared downward, looking perplexed as she frowned, brows furrowed in thought. Something just happened. She could feel it, something pouring out of her and she was quiet for a moment. "Koga, I-" she gasped as pain jerked through her stomach and she doubled over, leaning against him.

"K-Koga, I think it's time, something's happening..."

[Rin]

Kenta came to a stop abit later, he was standing infront of a cliffside, but this time, there were two boulder sinfrotn of him.

Each carved with a name. He gently ran his hand sover the lef toen and rested hsi head agaisnt it. "Mother..." He whispered softly. He gnetly laid some flowers infront of the boulder, he thne did the same wiht hsi father. "I cma eot tlak to you for awhile... so much has happend!" He then began talking about all the thigns that had happend sinc ehis last visit to they're tombs.
