Bloodwash [Merodi/Kimi/Kenta]

Kimi had already bolted after the hanyou, she still hadnt yet pulled out her sword but where ever he is, she's going to make sure he's going to leave. At least Im running though the rain she thought as she found him, talking to a bolder. She halted to a stop to see what he was doing before she shoved him off the terrotory. He's... talking to the bolder Soon enough she saw words inscribed into the bolder. Walking up to where he was, instead of telling him to leave, she asked him "Who died?" her voice full of concern.

When Merodi pulled back, Koga expected her to disagree with him, to which he was going to continue reassuring her, but she was quiet. He waited for her to say something, but when she did, he barely had time to reach forward and catch her as she fell towards him. The wolf demon heard his mate gasp, heard her words, and was confused all over again. His dark eyebrows pulled up as he asked, [brown]“What do you mean? Time for— Oh.”[/brown]

Comprehension dawned on the wolf demon as he saw Merodi doubled over in apparent pain. “You mean the baby?” he gasped, holding Merodi by the arms. He waited a moment for some sign of confirmation, and then objected, [brown]“But can’t you hold it? At least wait until we get back to the cave! You can’t have a baby out in the rain!”[/brown]

[Rin]

"My mother... and my father. Birds of Paradise." Kenta sihged as he slowly stood. "My father was th eleader of oe of th epacks that had been massacered by some half-demon named Naraku... My parents died afew weeks before hand... which is probably why they did die." Kenta clenched hsi eyes shut. "I wa skicke dout of th eclan after my parents died. I barried my parents here..." He rested his body against his mother's stone. "I came to talk with them... it would be Mother's birthday if she had lived to see today..."

Merodi stared at him, the pain making her wince as she continued to lean against him. "Hold it in?! How do you expect me to hold something like this in!?" she yelled and gasped with another sharp pain. Even so, she did try and hold it in. She didn't want to give birth out here in the rain. She tried to take a few steps away from him, holding onto her stomach. "W-we have to hurry...hurry..." she whimpered with another stab of pain.

The deer demon was afraid. She didn't know how this would work. Could they make it in time?! What if something bad happened?! She didn't know what to do, she was never told about this when she was little!

Koga was at Merodi’s side in less than a second, reaching for her with his strong, capable arms. [brown]“Here, let me help you!”[/brown] he begged, but without waiting for her consent, he scooped her up, holding her bridal-style in the rain. Despite the added weight, the wolf demon had no trouble carrying his mate and his yet-to-be-born child, though he made a tiny noncommittal grunt out of sheer surprise. Twisting his arms awkwardly in an attempt, even though it was probably in vain, to make Merodi comfortable and support her at the same time, he started off at a trot, gaining speed as he leapt over the still-bleeding body of the dead oni. He winced as he jostled Merodi, and tried to go slower than he normally did, but he was torn between wanting to get her back to the cave in time and not hurting her.

The wolf demon wove a zig-zagging pattern between boulders and then under trees as they entered a woodland area. [brown]“Almost there,”[/brown] he lied, trying to keep the deer demon’s spirits high.

Merodi held onto him tightly, afraid he would drop her in such a desperate time where she was so anxious and everything was just nerve-wracking. She whined and whimpered with each pain of contractions and felt herself hold onto him just a little too tight. But that didn't matter, she wasn't very comfortable and she didn't care to act like she was. There was no time to consider his feelings!

Merodi closed her eyes, trying to keep herself calm and feeling the instinctual action of pushing. She forced it back, taking in deep breathes. "Almost there, almost there..." she said to herself through her breathing. "This is taking too long!!" she yelled, and groaned as the pain continued.

Seeing the looks of pain spasming across his mate’s face, Koga ran faster in spite of himself. He could feel her bouncing against his muscular arms, and he whimpered, [brown]“Sorry, sorry!”[/brown] He was hurting her, he was sure of it! Was something going wrong? Something must be going wrong! She wouldn’t be hurting so much otherwise! What had he done wrong? There had to be something more he could do for her! He had to keep running, keep running! The wolf demon careened dangerously around tree trunks and, as he left the forests, over craggy stone precipices. His feet kept slipping out from underneath him, skidding on the rain-slicked rock, and still he pushed himself faster, faster! Now they were pitching and careening across another empty plain, and still Koga went faster, faster! And almost without warning, Koga stumbled and skidded, barely staying upright, as his feet flashed out from underneath him for a moment. He regained his footing, but no, he didn’t! He only had time to pull her head into his chest and protect her as he fell onto his butt and skidded uncomfortably a few feet on nature’s best cushion.

Koga found himself sitting in the middle of a muddy field that was churned up by the adverse weather. Rain pounded on his shoulders, but he could only look anxiously down at his deer demon mate, who he hoped he had shielded well enough from his stumble. [brown]“Merodi! Merodi!”[/brown] he cried, his voice panicky.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merodi was in too much pain to really pay attention to what was happening. She wanted him to go faster! She wanted to hurry up and get there! But the pains paused for a moment, just a moment and she was sure they would return. The deer demon could notice then, the way the trees passed by in a blur of green, how the rain hit her like needles piercing her skin. Too fast, too fast!!

A bit late to complain, the deer was sure. She yelped, feeling them fall toward the earth, closing her eyes as she held onto Koga. Pressure was being placed on her stomach and she pushed and yelled in pain, as she glared up at him. "What do you think you were doing!?" she started breathing deeply again, trying to calm herself and control the pain.

"It's okay...it's okay..." Merodi wasn't sure if she was saying it for him or herself. She was sure he was very afraid for her, he wasn't very calm and one of them had to be! She groaned with another pain, doubling over. "I don't know if I can hold it!"

[brown]“Merodi!”[/brown] Koga gasped as his mate writhed in pain, barely staying in his normally-sturdy grasp. [brown]“Merodi, please try! Try for our baby! I’ll get you home, I swear!”[/brown] It was a struggle without using his arms, but the wolf demon pushed his feet underneath himself, feeling the cold mud leach his warmth and strength straight out of his legs. His muscles burned where they’d overextended and stretched unnaturally, but he didn’t betray it in anything but a tightening in the corners of his light blue eyes. Raindrops clung to his eyelashes, which he blinked away before setting off at a trot again, trying to keep from falling again.

Koga could feel his mouth moving, and wondered if he was murmuring small, comforting words to Merodi in her time of pain. If he was, he couldn’t hear them himself over the pounding of the rain on his shoulders and his heart in his chest. Once, though, he was aware of mumbling, [brown]“Home… home… let’s go home and have our baby in the warm.”[/brown] From then on, he took care to stay on the sheltered paths, being careful where he stepped, but his heart twisted in agonizing worry over every pained movement Merodi was making.

Koga’s teeth locked in a snarl and he growled, [brown]“I have to make it! For Merodi and for our baby!”[/brown] And he took off again. He was barely aware of the passing surroundings, only of his mate, whose suffering sent pangs through his chest.

Merodi closed her eyes, holding them tightly shut as she kept taking in deep breaths. She tried to control her pain, but it was hard to. Home...Home...with warmth and shelter from the rain. She wanted that so badly. She bit her lip, another whine escaping her. She could feel the pressure form between her legs, a life, a thing, moving through her to reach for air. She sobbed. So close, too close!

Every step of many was agony for Koga, just because he knew it was agony for Merodi. He could see it in the way she squeezed her bright eyes shut, in the way her teeth dug into her lower lip. And it was unending and unending and unending and it lasted forever and it was never going to end because he wasn’t going to get back in time and Merodi was going to have the baby and it was going to fall out and die because Koga wasn’t fast enough but it would also die if he went to fast and damn it all what if it died and what if something worse happened and Merodi died? No, Merodi couldn’t die, that wasn’t supposed to happen, but she was hurting so much that he had to wonder if something had gone wrong and she was going to end up having the baby out in the rain…

It must have been that Koga’s feet had been flying as fast as his frenzied thoughts, because he rounded a corner, following the path of a tumbling river, and saw the thundering waterfall through the curtain of silvery rain that hazed his vision. [brown]“We’re really almost there this time!”[/brown] he gasped. He slowed to a walk, suddenly terrified of falling into the river. [brown]“Are you okay, Merodi?”[/brown]

Merodi took the chance to open her eyes, looking ahead of them and she locked onto the waterfall ahead. She felt relief washed over her and the point of relaxation. Almost there. The contractions began again, and she felt the push, and the stretching of her skin and she felt chocked back a sob. "No!!" she gasped out with his question. Okay? Okay!? How could she be okay!?

Koga winced at Merodi’s tone. [brown]“Okay, okay! We’re going, we’re going!”[/brown] The wolf demon tried to hurry, but his mind was filled with a terrible image of the pair of them pitching into the raging, rain-swollen river. But was that any worse than the deer demon having the baby and having it fall into the river? He walked at the quickest pace he dared, terrified like he’d never been terrified before.

He paused for an agonizing second in front of the waterfall, panic for the still-unborn baby raging in his mind. What if…? No, he wasn’t even going to think about how the baby could fall out and get sucked away under the waterfall… oh, shit, he already thought of it. But then he squeezed his eyes shut and leapt, and the three of them were through, two of them sopping wet from the chilly rain and the waterfall, and one of them… well, Koga didn’t really understand its state of being, being a man and all.

[brown]“Clear space!”[/brown] he called, his voice sounding hoarse after all the frantic yelping at and with his mate. A gaggle of wolf demons, who had been relaxing inside from the rain, suddenly sprang up, and everything was confusion and yelling. By some magic, Koga made his way over to his and Merodi’s mat and carefully set the deer demon down on the soft hide.

[brown]“Help me!”[/brown] he cried, and his wolf demons hurried to obey, but it was slow to dawn on them what was happening, and Koga didn’t actually know what he needed help with. He just knew that he had to make Merodi as comfortable as she could be! And what if something went wrong?

They had made it...

Merodi fell limp onto the mat for a moment, eyes closed as she seemed to relax for that little time. She was panting, and she was soaked with water and was glad of it. All the contractions and tensing made her sweat. She hesitantly began to willingly push, but she realized that she had an audience. No, this wasn't right. Males shouldn't be in a room when a female was giving birth, should they?

Merodi groaned with pain feeling. "Out!" she yelled through her pain. She opened one eye, looking at Koga. ""Make them leave, I don't want them here!" she sobbed, sitting herself up as she pushed.
