Rain lashed the small mountain range, beating the cold slopes into sullen submission. Newly-sprouted grass hung heavily, each blade’s back broken by the weight of raindrops. Little rivulets of water trickled down the edges of sharp, water-glossed rocks. Mud collected in the ditches, forming clumpy puddles of dark brown. In one particular splotch of mud, deep red mingled with the earthier colors. Streams of this red liquid poured off the side of the muddy ditch, washed into mud by the cold spring storm. A flare of lightning forked through the sky, illuminating the path of the thick, sluggish, mud-like redness, back to its source of a bleeding, hulking monster, which bared its fangs at the smaller form that faced it on a wind-racked stretch of bare land.
Koga’s eyes were lit up by that fork of the thunderbolt, and his ears rang with the sharp report. The leader of the wolf demon tribe’s teeth were gritted together, locked in a grimace. Across from him stood that hulking oni. The monster’s skin was black in the dim lighting when the lightning faded, making the white bone that jutted out of its one apish arm all the more stark. It was from this open fracture that blood was oozing, though the oni was battered beyond what its dark-skinned body betrayed. Koga, meanwhile, had a large bruise that was darkening on his one arm, but was otherwise unscathed. Still, he was tiring. As it did with many creatures, the rain made him feel tired and slow, and most of his other demons were at home, huddling in their cave. He was fighting this huge monster alone.
Nobody had expected to be invaded during the rain, and the wolves were more lax with the guarding of their territory during the bad weather. Koga had chanced upon the intruder while hunting for his tribe and his mate. He was exerting himself much too quickly; he had no doubts that he would soon enough defeat the oni, but having to fight in such poor conditions weren’t to Koga’s advantage, and he was fighting worse than usual.
While he fought, he could only hope that one of his tribe members would come and help out, the lazy-asses they were. And he could also hope that his mate, who was steadily nearing the time when she would give birth to their child, had the good sense to stay home.
Koga’s thoughts were interrupted as the oni charged at him, swinging its broken arm like a club. The wolf demon skipped out of the way, and the oni blundered a little further before swinging around, staring around for its opponent with its tiny eyes. Koga’s tactic at the moment was to wear the cretin down, because he didn’t feel like matching his strength with such a massive opponent. He would return to full-fledged fighting in a moment, as soon as he caught his breath.

(I'm using Kent aif that's okay.)
Kenta rna through the rain. He'd been on a wlak when the rain begna pouring down upon him and the remainder of the region. He wanted to get back to the Demon Slayer's village, but somethign was urging him to go a diffrent direction.
It was blood, eh didn't knwo why he wante dt see what the cause was, but before Kenta knew what happend, he slid to a halt near an oni and wolf demon that were fighting.
Kenta frowne.d 'Where are the rest of the pack? Is he a stray or something?' He analized hte situation form hsi spot behind some shrubbery a good few yards away.
The wolf demon seemed slow,as if the rain made him slower and more easy to tire, but Kenta could understand THAT.
The Oni seemed pretty easy to take down... but Kenta knew not to judge too quickly. The Oni's arm was broken, he felt a very uncomfortable twist in hsi stomach at the sit eof bone jutting out of the area.
He thne examined the wolf dmeon again. All eh seeme dto be doing was try and wear it out. Kenta didn't really know fi it would be a good idea to help... he kne whow wolves were about him being on they're turf in the first place, being halfdemon and all.
Kenta sighed and finally decided. He jumpe dotu form behind the shrubbery and landed near the other wolf dmeon. "Do you need some assistance?" He asked.

An unfamiliar voice interrupted Koga’s concentration on his brawl. He was barely willing to take his eyes off the lumbering oni, but a glance from the wolf demon’s eyes confirmed that the speaker was as unfamiliar as the oni, and was therefore as much as a trespasser. Koga didn’t even bother considering the other intruder’s offer, instead staring back at the oni. To his slight surprise, though, the hulking monster stood still for a moment, blinking away the rivulets of water that streamed into its eyes, and turned on the speaker. Baring its fangs in a rumbling roar that was underlined with another flash of lightning, the massive creature began to shuffle at the other intruder.
[brown]If it’s going to be stupid enough to turn its back on me--[/brown] Koga thought, and he launched himself after the oni. The bigger demon hadn’t even taken two steps by the time the wolf demon was beside it. Koga was puny beside the bulging mass of the oni’s muscle, but what good was muscle if the beast didn’t have the speed or flexibility to use it? The oni tried to take another step, clearly unaware that its earlier opponent was beside it, and Koga used its obvious distraction to plant a foot in the demon’s wide side.
It was like kicking a boulder, but then again, Koga could break boulders with a single kick from his feet.
The oni’s feet left the ground as it was launched up. It was in the process of arcing through the air before a look of surprise ever graced its primitive features. Then it was crashing down on its flank, and it lay for a moment in the mud, apparently stunned.
Shaking rainwater from his head, even though more immediately beaded on his headband and black hair, Koga turned on the other intruder. This one was a half-wolf demon, Koga could tell by the smell and aura of him. Making an irritated noise in his throat, the full demon lifted his chin disdainfully. “[brown]Idiot![/brown]” he growled at the hanyou. “[brown]Only a complete fool would come out and announce his presence.[/brown]” Koga was referring as much to the hanyou’s trespassing as anything else.
Then Koga’s head snapped around, because he heard the dull thuds in the ground of the behemoth oni rising to its feet, stamping the damp ground with heavy feet. “[brown]Damn it to hell![/brown]” Koga swore. “[brown]Why won’t this thing just die already?[/brown]”

Kenta didn't evne flinch at his harsh words, inwardly he did wince, but not outwardly. He was used to it form Crom's men. Kenta merely raised a brow. "And risk the dnager of you attacking me?"
He then looked over at the oni stared at them. Kenta didn't bother to pull out his sword, blades wouldn't do much if nto anything to this brute. He looked around for anything that might help. He then looke dup at the cliffs behind the oni and an idea cma eto him at the site of huge oulders and rocks. He turned to the other wolf deon. "I've got an idea. Keep him busy!" He siad and ran towards the cliffside. "Lure him closer to this cliff!" He called as he leaped up siad cliff by landing on small outlets in the cliff face and continued upwards.
'I jsut hope this works!' He thought to himself. 'These stupid thigns are hard to beat!'

[[Sorry Im late Aiko. Managing my own site ^^]]
Walking in the rain always seemed to suprise Kimi on how much it relaxed her. Kind of like a weakness of hers, well exept the part where durning the full moon shes a stupid, weak mortal that cant protect herself. Spring, to her, felt like the most restfull time of the year, well when she was travling anyways. A while ago she had joined Kogas tribe in the winter. At least she had a place to stay now.
She layed her hand on her sword's handle as she walked through the rain, letting the drops of water run down her face as she walked by. Her wolf ears pearked as she hear sound, voices.... Her sense of clam dissappered as she looked around the place from were the sounds were coming from. She had heard the word cliff from someone, not knowing where he or she was but she ran towards the nearest cliff she could find.
Koga! she saw him and another, whom she dint reconize but he looked simmlar to her. Wolf hanyou! she thought to herself, knowing what the other guy was by the way her looked. She wasnt close enough to get his scent though. She ran where the other hanyou was going.

[brown]Keep him busy?![/brown] Koga thought incredulously. [brown]ME?![/brown] That sounded like an order somebody would give somebody of lower rank! [brown]”Feh!”[/brown] grunted Koga, glaring after the hanyou for a moment before returning his gaze to the oni. Nobody gave orders to him! Koga was the one who gave orders, not some puny, trespassing half-demon. As the wolf demon resumed his earlier attacks on the hulking monster, he thought, [brown]That little hanyou’s probably too much of a coward to stay where the real fighting is.[/brown] Now that Koga was within arm’s length of the oni, the massive beast swung at the wolf demon, trying to lock Koga in a crushing embrace, but the much faster wolf demon leapt straight into the air, avoiding the clumsy club-like arms the oni wielded. As he rose, Koga struck out at the oni with his foot. Connecting with the monster’s jawbone, the wolf demon pushed off from the oni’s face, using the momentum to flip over in the air.
As the oni was knocked over backward, and Koga was suspended in the air, he saw a familiar figure racing after the hanyou. [brown]”Kimi!”[/brown] her leader bellowed, and, flipping, he landed solidly on his feet. [brown]”Get your sorry self over here!”[/brown] But even as he yelled, he saw there was no need; the oni was taking long getting up this time. Defiant of the trespassing hanyou and whatever stupid plan he had made up, defiant of having taken so long to get to this point, Koga’s feet pounded as he raced back over to the fallen oni. Standing beside the fallen creature, Koga saw the oni crack open piggish eyes over a bloodied nose. The beast tried to move its jaw, but its cracked and broken teeth split further into its gums. It moved its arms, apparently trying to get up again.
Koga hopped high into the air, coiled his legs as he hung suspended for a moment, then came crashing down with all the force in his compact body, right on the oni’s rising and falling chest.
There was a whump sound as the oni’s body was pressed into the earth, with an underlying crack as its ribs broke under Koga’s feet. The creature tried to scream, but its open jaws only issued a clump of blood. Its limbs jerked once, twice, and Koga hopped off. [brown]”That took long enough!”[/brown] he growled.
[ooc: idk wtf this post is, but... I'm too tired to go back and change it. =P]

Merodi was sitting on her mat, eating out of her sack of the hay, mushrooms, and berries. They always made sure the sack was full, for the most of her pregnancy she was always hungry. She didn't question it. When she was little she hadn't been around many pregnant females, but something told her this was normal. Even so, it wasn't just because she was hungry that she ate. She found herself more urged to eat when she was worried or stressed. And she truly was worried. Koga was gone longer then he should be. But she shouldn't make a big deal out of it. If he wanted to be alone, that was fine...
Merodi sighed, putting away the sack out of pure will power. She just had to be patient. She winced, a shap pain going through her abdomen. They would appear recently and she had yet to figure out why.

Kimi ran towards Koga, but by the time she was there he had already defeated the oni. I was kinnda looking forward to a fight... she thought sarrowly to herself as she looked down at the dead oni, then to Koga, then to the other hanyou. Looking back at her leader she said "I guess you dint need me for this." she said then looking back over at the other wolf hanyou "You know who he is?" she asked her leader, almost knowing the awnser. Kimi braced herself for a lecture of some sort, of somthing by moving her left foot behind her and putting her arms around her chest in a relaxing position.

(sorry! My connection sucks today, and I misplaced a post!)
Kenta had just about got the rocks ready before he turned to see the site. He sighed when the oni was laying on the ground and Koga and some other wolf dmeon were talking. Kenta sat down, mud slapplatering his face, but he didn't care. 'Why do I always end up being nothing but anusiance?!" He screamed to the heavens in his mind. But out ward, all you saw was an emotionless face watching the wolves, waiting...

As Kimi trotted over to him, Koga kicked the huge boulder-like oni to make sure it was really dead. He’d crushed its ribcage, but sometimes… but no, the oni wasn’t flailing any more. Its eyes had slithered shut, and blood trickled out of the corner of its mouth. Turning to the only half-demon member of his tribe, he placed his hands on his hips. [brown]”Could’ve used your help earlier, but I got it covered,”[/brown] he informed her, kicking the black-skinned carcass and flashing the female a slight grin.
To the hanyou’s next question, he crossed his arms and turned his pallid gaze in the other male’s direction. [brown]”I dunno,”[/brown] he grunted. [brown]”Another trespasser, and a half-demon. I don’t know nothing you can’t tell by lookin’ at him.”[/brown] Koga gave Kimi a sideways glance. [brown]”Now let’s go take care of our latest intruder.[/brown]” Without waiting for his other tribe member, the leader sped off, heading for the male half-demon.
He skidded to a halt in front of the hanyou, quite possibly splattering the intruder with the sudden stop. Water streamed down Koga’s face, getting into his eyes as he tried to stare down at the half-demon boy. The moisture dripped down his nose, and he resisted the urge to wipe it away. Instead, Koga crossed his arms and threw a haughty look down at the trespasser. [brown]“You’re on wolf demon territory!”[/brown] he growled. [brown]“Got a reason for that, kid?”[/brown]

The young wolf hanyou watched the two converse, listening to them talk. He sighed as the male came towards him.
Kenta closed his eyes as more muddy water splashed onto his face from the other running up to him. He slowly stood up, and looke dKoga square in the face like a man. "I was born into a wolf demon tribe, I should think that would merit me some respect among your kind. As to why I'm here... I was only wlaking in the place I once called my home, even if others disagreed." he said.

Long ago Merodi had lost her patience. Her food was gone which was the only thing that distracted her enough from her worry of Koga. She stood, holding onto her stomach. Ever since she began to show, it had gotten harder and harder to walk without losing her balance every once in a while. She didn't like the extra weight.
The deer demon made her way to the entrance of the cave as one of the wolf members came to her. "Sister, you shouldn't go out, it's storming out there!" he went to reach out to her and she shoved him away, glaring at him. He shivered, finding her more vicious then a deer ever should be.
"I'm going to get Koga!" the deer exited through the water fall, with the wolf member at her tail. Just in case. She closed her eyes against the pouring rain, wincing away from the sound of the thunder. She stubbornly made her way over the rocks and mud, the wolf member always reaching out toward her. Of course, she didn't know where she was going. The rain kept any scent of him away from her and it was only by her sudden stubborness that she was able to make her way to where the others were. Always the wolf demon was behind her, steadying her when she stumbled.
Merodi huffed, moving her wet hair out of her face as she stomped toward her mate. "Koga! I've been waiting for you to come home! I've been worried, and hungry, and you're just here chatting with Kimi and-" she paused, looking at the two hanyous. One she knew, one she didn't. Why didn't she know the other? "Who are you?"

Relived, Kimi relaxed a bit more, suprised that he dint yell at her like he usually did when she asked him stupid questions like that. She sniffed the air Yeah that guys is like me, a wolf hanyou... she thought to herself as she looked at the other. Suddenly yells came, from Medrodi. Shocked at the sudden yelling she almost fell but she stoped yelling to ask who that other hanyou was "I dunno" she said quitly under her breath as she looked at Medrodi.

Koga was struggling to think of a sensible reply to the half-demon intruder when a familiar voice in an unfamiliar tone whipped out from behind him. The wolf demon slowly turned to see his mate staggering towards him, sopping wet and round-bellied, but with a furious look that made the oni suddenly seem less dangerous in comparison. [brown]“Merodi?”[/brown] Koga mumbled, sounding meeker than he had probably ever before. Ever since her pregnancy had begun, the deer demon had been acting in most peculiar ways, and Koga had tried to step lightly around her and keep her strange emotions and behaviors appeased, but it seemed he had failed, and for that failure, he eyed the deer demon a little apprehensively.
Her own question interrupted her enraged ranting as her eyes fell on the half-demon intruder. Koga’s shoulders slumped in slight exasperation. [brown]“I’m trying to figure that out, Merodi,”[/brown] he said gently. [brown]“I’ll be with you in only a moment.”[/brown] He turned his pale blue gaze on the intruder, and his eyes flared with an unspoken sentence: “You’d better damn well have a better reason than that crap you’ve already spouted to be here, because I’m going to get my head chewed off by a deer demon, and won’t that be funny, a wolf being chewed apart by a deer?”
[brown]“You can’t just walk in on somebody’s territory uninvited,”[/brown] growled Koga in reprimand. [brown]“I don’t care who you are, really. I’ve got more problems to deal with than a trespasser like you.”[/brown] Unfolding his arms, Koga spun around and walked over to Kimi. [brown]“Make sure he gets off our land and doesn’t steal anything,”[/brown] he growled to her under his breath. [brown]She’ll be lucky if she does,[/brown] he reflected, a little enviously. [brown]She won’t have to deal with Merodi’s pregnant rage.[/brown] That done, he walked over to said pregnant woman, bowing his head to her, trying to placate any remaining anger.

Kenta glared. "I'll leave when i'm ready to do so. I don't nee dyour say in anything." He said. "I get enoguh of that form my own pack." He gurmmbled and turned to Merodi and blinked. "Hey... weren't you that siren perosn who was making Corm's men act weird? No offence intended." he asked slowly.
