The Voice {Rin, Aiko}

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merod continued to smile, her happiness making her ignore the unease in Koga and the distaste in Soothsayer. She did notice Koneko though. She glanced up at the girl, wondering what she was doing. Maybe wanted a better view? She would have to ask later since Koga decided to join them. Merodi turned her attention back to Koga. "This is Soothsayer-sama." she said, looking toward the deer male who smiled in greeting, although a bit forced he prided himself in acting. "And that's Koneko." she said, pointing upward where the hanyou had went.

Soothsayer let go of the deer female, glancing up at Koneko. He frowned, finding her fear very unnecessary for a beloved. If she should be afraid she should stay by his side. Oh well, Koga was more of an important matter then Koneko. "It is nice to finally meet you Koga, I've heard a lot about you."

[Rin]

If Koneko had a tal, it would've been moving in fast stroking movements in the air, a sign of discomfort, annoyance, and/or fear.
She willed her body to relaxed just alittle when Koga's immedate attention went to Soothsayer.

[Aiko]

The wolf demon waved briefly to the half-demon when she was mentioned, but kept his eyes on the deer demons. Koga’s eyebrows shot up at Soothsayer’s comment. [brown]“You have?”[/brown] A kernel of smugness formed in the pit of the wolf demon’s stomach. If his mate had been talking about him to her acquaintances, then that couldn’t be a bad thing, now could it? So long as this other male knew exactly whose mate he was dealing with. A little brashly, the wolf demon responded, [brown]“I’ve never heard of you.”[/brown] At that, Koga settled down to sit on the branch, his legs swinging out to hang over the edge while he kept his hands resting on the branch. He looked at Merodi, hoping that she would understand his unspoken message and come join him on his branch, leaving the other deer demon behind. He still hadn’t entirely given up on his romantic notions of earlier. If only they could ditch Merodi’s two friends…

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Soothsayer continued to smile as Koga spoke. He laughed lightly as he replied. "Of course you haven't. Shika do not tell of their gods to other demons, including wolves." Merodi looked at the deer male warily for a moment. She wasn't sure on how Koga would take on this male claiming to be a god, even though it was true. She knew it to be true, her heart told her it was. She stared up at Koga, getting the silent message and yet too afraid to move on her own.

Soothsayer, seeing the female's predicament didn't wish to help her, he wanted her to sit by him. But he was unable to deny the deer what she wanted. Sighing, he stood on the branch, holding onto a higher branch for balance. He held onto Merodi's arm and forced her to her feet. She panicked, fumbling but the deer male kept a sure hold as she slowly made her way to Koga's branch. Only when she had a good grip did he let her go. Merodi smiled in thanks to Soothsayer as she made herself comfortable with sitting beside Koga.

[Rin]

As Koneko watched Merodi being helped to get to Koga, followed by her snuggling near him, Koneko's ears flattened.
She sulked even more and she aura almost yelled jealous. Not of Merodi and Koga paticularly...
but more the affection the two shared with each other.
She had always wanted to be a person who could actually like the cutest boy in shcool... but she was a hanyou, a freak in hiding...
Even though Soothsayer's earlier words rang in her ears, she still felt lonely.
She clenched her eyes shut. 'Why am I acting like this? I NEVER act like this! I thought I accepted the fact I'll never have love like that!'
She sighed and shook it off, locking her feelings up in that bottle in her heart.
Then she climbed down to sit near Soothsayer, she then resumed her earlier position.
Her hood fell down on the way down to Soothsayer, so her cat ears were shown, they were drooping just alittle. But her aura wasn't as gloomy.

[Aiko]

Koga didn’t have much of a reaction to Soothsayer’s words at first, except to give him a hard, deubious stare. [brown]Is he really supposed to be some sort of a god?[/brown] the wolf demon wondered, then he snorted under his breath. [brown]He is or he isn’t, makes no difference to me. He’s a deer god, apparently, nothing to do with wolves.[/brown] And then the so-called god stood up, helping Koga’s mate to her feet. Instantly, the wolf demon was getting up, too, though he had little trust in his balance however-many feet in the air. He helped Merodi get on the same branch as him, though he glared over her narrow shoulder at the deer male, as if to say, “Stop touching her!”

As soon as Merodi was seated in a way that seemed satisfactorily comfortable, Koga went to sit himself beside her while the half-demon started to go down to Soothsayer. The wolf demon crouched on the branch and tried to swing his feet out over the side, but… His feet went off the branch, his butt followed, and he found himself dangling from a swaying branch by his two hands, wondering how exactly he got to that point.

[brown]“Crap!”[/brown] Koga grunted. He swung a little bit from his muscular arms, trying to figure out how to get back on the branch. He was holding on in a way that twisted his wrists, and wasn’t remotely comfortable. [brown] “Hang on, Merodi,” [/brown]he called up to his mate as he swung himself around. Could he get enough momentum to swing back onto the branch? Apparently not. Grunting, Koga started to shimmy his way across the bough by holding on with his hands. If he could get to the trunk, maybe he could use that as leverage to push himself back on the branch. His arms were straining, the skin stretched taught over his muscles was beaded with sweat, and his teeth were clenched together in concentration. He eyed the trunk, swung his legs over, and tried to “walk” up the rough bark. And then he lost his grip on the branch.

Koga, the great leader of the wolf demon tribe, went crashing down to the grass at the foot of the tree, landing unceremoniously on his buttocks. [brown]“Dammit!”[/brown] the wolf demon swore, as he ended up in an awkward sitting position at the base of the tree, staring up with confusion and annoyance at the two deer demons and the hanyou still above him.

Wolves just weren’t supposed to be in the trees!

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Merodi blinked, startled by his fumble and watched him worriedly as he tried to get himself back up. She leaned forward, holding onto the branch and waited, watching with concern. She gasped as he fell and felt herself panick. "Koga! Are you okay!?" He seemed more angry then hurt but she couldn't be sure. Pushing herself off the branch she landed on the ground beside him where she crouched at his side.

On the other hand, Soothsayer was laughing. When Koneko had joined him on the branch he had given her head a pat in comfort of her decision to be near him. He had watched Koga and found it very entertaining. Tried as he might, he couldn't stop himself from laughing. Never had he seen such a thing from a wolf. He knew that laughing wasn't the best thing in the world, what with an angry wolf at the bottom of the tree.

[Rin]

Koneko would admit the scen of the wolf demon dnagling form the bough was amusing, but the only thing that let you know was a smile, and laughing eyes. But it quickly died as he feel. When Soothsayer started laughing, Koneko frowned. 'This may become a problem...' Koneko lenaed forwards and called, "Are you alright?"

[Aiko]

[brown]“I’m fine,”[/brown] Koga muttered curtly to Merodi. He flinched visibly as he heard the laughter of the other male ringing from above him in the tree. [brown]“I’m fine,”[/brown] he repeated, directing his words this time to Koneko. Slowly, he turned to look at his mate, and his annoyance was swept away with a brief look of confusion. [brown] “I fell,” [/brown] he informed her, reaching the conclusion in his own mind. [brown]“But I’m fine now.”[/brown] Still, he heard the chuckling of the deer male from up above, and it irked him. The confusion in his eyes faded back into annoyance, but as he looked at the gentle face of his mate, a sly idea wormed its way into his head. Quickly, he leaned forward to peck her gently on the lips. For a brief moment, he felt the softness of her lips against his, and in spite of his awkward position, it was tempting to linger, but he pulled away and got to his feet. He glared up at Soothsayer, ignoring the physical pain in his ass by being pissed at the metaphorical one. Then he turned his back on the deer male, bending to help Merodi to her feet.

[brown]“Let’s get out of here,” [/brown]he suggested quietly to her, leaning closer to murmur in her large ear. [brown]“Just us two. Let’s ditch these guys and do something together.” [/brown] The wolf demon squeezed his mate’s hand, twining his fingers with hers as he kept his face close to hers.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

The humor in the situation quickly died with the kiss shared between the couple. His laughter stopped in his throat and he practically choked on its sudden halt. Eyes widening he stared down at the two and Merodi's blushing face at having been intimate in front of people, even if it was as small as a little kiss.

But it was huge for Soothsayer. It was only then that he realized how intimate the two truly are and have been. How else was Tempa brought into the world? The realization struck him hard, a jolt of lightning being sent through his system and not only that, his ears were sensitive enough to understand the implications Koga gave to Merodi. Including with the shika female's reaction in which she blushed. Another bolt struck him.

"But, that's a bit rude, don't you think...?" She seemed to try and whisper, but he could hear her question toward Koga, and he composed himself, jumping down from the branch without warning and sending Merodi into a sudden start, making her jerk away from the Soothsayer, but also Koga at the same time in her state of panick. The deer male took advantage of the seperation.

"Oh, you two, whispering away." he laughed, trying to act like such a thing didn't bother him. He suddenly took the other deer demon's hand, starting to lead her away. "Come, you should show me and Koneko your daughter Tempa, she must look adorable considering who created her. Maybe I should gift her with song!"

At first Merodi had not liked being taken away from her mate, and she meant to protest but the thought of her daughter being blessed in such a way distracted her too much. "Really? You would do that Soothsayer-sama?" she asked in surprise and awe.

[Rin]

Koneko rolled her eyes and jumped down. "Oh pleas,e your just jealous of Koga and you're just making excuses for them to be stuck with you for awhiel longer to spite him." She commented dryly. But she smiled laittle shyly as she admitted, "But.... I wouldn't mind seeing the kid myself.... I've never seen a hybrid demon before... what's she like?" Koneko asked the two.

[Aiko]

Koga was just about to reply to Merodi with his amazing reasoning, which was something along the lines of “Who cares?”, when the deer male suddenly came down out of the tree and Koga’s mate jerked away. The wolf demon immediately spun around to face Soothsayer; Merodi’s reaction struck an urge to fight and defend from her mate. He was frustrated to not be able to fight the deer male. He backed off a step, trying to ease back towards his mate, all the while scowling darkly at Soothsayer. [brown]Stupid, sneaky, good-for-nothing bastard, trying to get me away from my mate,[/brown] the wolf demon thought ominously, not quite realizing just how accurate he was.

Koneko realized, though, as was proven when she jumped down out of the tree to make her comment. Koga’s scowl deepened at the half-demon’s words. [brown]I knew it![/brown] he thought grimly. And then, satisfying himself, [brown]He’s right to be jealous, though.[/brown] Who wouldn’t be jealous of him, Koga, the man who held Merodi’s affection? The smug thought brightened the wolf demon’s facial expression, and he strode quickly over to his mate to claim her hand, twining his fingers with hers. [brown]“Alright, why not?”[/brown] he said to Soothsayer and to Koneko, but his eyes remained on the soft curves of his mate’s face. [brown]“Let’s show off our little pride and joy.”[/brown] With that, the wolf demon began to pull on his mate’s hand, leading back to where he’d left their daughter.

[Lord Sesshomaru]

Soothsayer paused, feeling that jolt of electricity when Koneko spoke. Why...? Why?! Oh, what a traitorous beloved! How could she be so cruel to him and speak such things. Now Merodi was looking at him oddly. No, don't turn his beloved deer against him!! He felt like panicking, and yelling at Koneko too.

Soothsayer said nothing, and expected some form of violence from the wolf demon. When that didn't happen he was silent, watching as Merodi was taken away by the hand and the couple was leading the way. He sighed, at least glad to know he was going to meet Tempa. He glanced at the cat hanyou, eyes narrowing. How horrible of her to say such a thing.

The deer god thought of saying something to her, but the best punishment was for him to say nothing as he looked away and forward and following Merodi and Koga.

[Rin]

Koneko's ears drooped alittle when Soothsayer glared at ehr as they followed Koga and Merodi.
She turned her gaze away from him and begna playing with the strings on ehr hoodie. She watched two birds fly down, close to the ground, twittering and singing to one another. Content in they're own little world. She glared at them.

[Aiko]

Just with his rough fingers laced with Merodi’s softer ones, Koga felt his mood improving. That’s not to mention how his smugness intensified when he caught in his peripheral vision his deer demon mate casting a glance at, he assumed, Soothsayer. A smirk twitched at the corner of the wolf demon’s mouth as he led his mate along at a sauntering pace. Playfully, he began to swing their hands forward and back, forward and back. He winked lazily at Merodi, grinning broadly. They approached the waterfall-screened cave at a pace the wolf demon thought was agonizingly slow, but he enjoyed the lengthening minutes of being close to Merodi.

As the troop came in sight of the waterfall, a few curious wolf demons peered from various ledges and assoted other spots at the unusual group, though they were calm because their leader seemed to be. One or two of the more astute might have noticed the slight tightness in Koga’s movements, and lifted a lip in the suggestion of a snarl in the direction of Soothsayer and Koneko. Koga, meanwhile, jerked his head back to look at his followers, while keeping Merodi in his side vision. [brown]“Let’s not wake the little beast, alright?”[/brown] he suggested, turning to smile knowingly at his mate. The longer Tempa slept, the better for all of them.

Koga led the other three through the waterfall, leaping through the pounding curtain of water to land inside the cave on the other side. He shook his head, scattering droplets from his long dark hair with an air of impatience, and glanced briefly at Merodi from the corner of one blue eye. Without waiting for Soothsayer and Koneko, the wolf demon led towards the mat where his daughter still slept. Meanwhile, the wolf demons moved around the visitors to their cave, noses twitching with interest. Those who had human forms muttered to one another, though their eyes rarely strayed from the deer male and the half-demon.

Koga ended up standing over his daughter, still grasping Merodi’s hand, feeling his leftover bad feelings soften as he looked at the limp form of Tempa. The wolf demon’s smile gentled a little, and he leaned slightly in Merodi’s direction, trying to pull her even closer to him. He faintly wanted her to lean her head on his shoulder; it seemed like a good time to do something like that.
