Demon and Slayer

Kayka listened as he spoke. It was true, Kyy was exceptionally good at tracking, and Kayka did know her way around pretty well. She heard him say Skyd though and grinned. "Sounds good, I'd love to give that youkai a piece of my mind." she said.

Noli smiled "Thanks...when you do find her...becarefull....it was because of you we were able to catch her off gaurd last time....dont underestimate her....now how much for your servaces?"

Kayka listened as he spoke and sighed, "Fine." she didn't really care if they did just catch her off guard, she just wanted at her. "I'll do it for free. Hows that?"

Noli nodded "Thanks kayka....well at least wait to leave untill morning....and kyy looks like hes going to be chewing on thoes bones for a while s you might as well wait."

Kayka shrugged, mainly meaning 'No problem'. And nodded her head. "Guess that's reason enough." she said as she took another bite of the food.

Kriss finished off her food pretty fast, then again she wasn't really talking all that much. She handed Kyy the bones and patted her head, then sat back up and looked up at the sky, just watching the stars. They were so beautiful that night, she sighed and looked beside her at Noli, wondering what he was thinking. She looked in front of her at the fire, watching the as the flames danced in the wind. "So, when are we leaving tomorrow Noli?" she asked as she turned her eyes to him.

Noli sat down and turned to kriss "Well if we can leave early morning we can reach the otamai river... i know some ferrymen there who can get us sent down the river witch should take us right by your village." Noli sighed and looked to the stars "All we have to worry about when we get on the river is the water sprites."

Kriss nodded her head, "Sounds good to me." she said after he finished talking. She listened to him as he spoke about the watch sprites and sighed. "Well, I guess there's no way around them, though, right?"

"Well" Noli said as he rested his head against the tree "No conciveable way...otherwise i'd know about." Noli Sighed as he looked up at the stars......just like yesterday to day had been a very very long day. Noli looked back to kayka and stood up "You two get some rest...ill take the first watch."

Kriss listened to him speak and nodded. "Alright then." she said as lied down on the ground.

Kayka stood up and leaped backwards into a tree and lied on its branch.

Noli watched as the two got to there seleeping postion's and noli sighed. He looked at kyy and kyy looked back at him. Noli kneeled down and held out the palm of his hand to the wolf "Here i saved the liver for you." Kyy slurped the meat out of his hand quickly and burped in satisfaction. "Well. "Noli said as he patted kyy on the head "Glad you enjoyed it you little gluttion."

Noli walked over to the fire and sat down with his back to the warm fire and watched out into the night for any danger.

Kyy grinned happily as she received the food. She sat down near the fire and watched as the fire danced. She wasn't exactly afraid of the fire, then again her partner could control it so she couldn't be. She curled up next to the warmth and looked around with her head down.

Noli opened his eyes as he heard a small sound...it was small...but still audiable to noli. He slowly slid his hand into the bag laying beside him. When his finger's brushed up against the familiar wooden stock of his crossbow noli heard another sound.....a hair?.....A harp?.....no...a string...Noli moved his head to the right as an arrow perieced the tree where his head was resting. The sound was a bow string.

Noli quuickly jumped up and slung out his crossbow and aimed it the best area when he could guess the shot came from. Noli fired the the bolt and smiled as he heard the sound of meatel periceing flesh.

Her ear twitched as she heard the noise and she sat her head up, ears perked on top of her head, looking and listening for the sound again or source of which it came. She stood up slowly and sniffed the air. Her face wrinkled up into a snarl and her ears bent back to rest on her head. She straightened her neck to align with her body and her ruff stood on end as she glared into the forest. A low growl spilled from her muzzle, silver eyes fixed on the spot Noli had flung his own arrow. She took a single step forwards towards the area, she seemed to be ready for anything.

She opened one eye and looked down, taking notice on Kyy's behavior. She sat down on the branch, letting her legs dangle off of it, and peered into the darkness. There was something out there, that was for sure. The tingling smell of blood reached her nose it seemed that Noli had hit them, whoever, or whatever, them was. She continued to watch to see what would happen next.

Noil whispred to kayka "Well if you wanted to give skyd a peice of your mind.....now's the time to do it." Noli looked of into the darkness "If that's not skyd...thats one hell of an archer who likes to randomly shoot at halfdemons."

Kayka watched into the darkness, listening as he spoke. 'True enough.' she told herself. She lit a small ball of fire in her hand and tossed it the air, and caught it again and repeated this a couple more times. Though it wasn't part of any attack, mainly just something to do until she caught a glimpse of where Skyd was. She spotted some movement and tossed her fire ball at it, hoping to have hit her.
